Does what a Google Home device does. The Home is viewed as a Google Home that is a great digital picture frame. Being able to tie it to your Google Photos is nice, but that requires some maintenance of your Photos (archiving things you don't want to show up or organizing albums and selecting the albums to show, else you get your crap photos like pictures of shopping lists, etc.) As for it being a digital frame, the screen quality is very good but the overall size of the device is pretty small and makes it a so-so frame. All in all, it is a fine device, not sure it is much better than a regular Google Home - the screen is nice but small.

Great device. Allows me to utilize my other Google products with this and see my cameras and control my robot vacuum. The display is great for YouTube videos as well. When i wake up I ask for my daily plan list in my calendar and weather reports to start my day off right. The response to my voice commands lack some as it doesn't work as well as alexa devices.

I have this along with the Lenovo 8" Smart Display. I really like both and each one completes my home in a different way. With the Lenovo one in my main living area and this Google made one in my bedroom. One thing you might not expect from this Smart Display is how small it is. At only 7", it's not much larger than some of the larger phones. It looks really tiny next to the Lenovo Display and competitors like the Echo Show. But for me, its the perfect size for a bedside assistant. I use it for quick answers for weather, daily commute, current time, appointments, and random questions that I sometimes ask Google. Like how many ounces in X amount of cups, etc. I also like how you can ask Google to "show you ...." and if available, it'll play a YouTube video to show you what you're asking. This thing makes for an excellent digital photo frame, especially with the Ambient Display technology. A lot of the times the display will adjust for the current ambience in the room and display the picture in a way where it looks like an actual photo, instead of a picture within an LCD. This display has also eliminated the need for an alarm clock as it can add a ton of alarms and reminders to keep you alert and wake you up when needed. Those are some of the main features, but this thing gets even better in a home that is equipped with smart home devices. Such as smart themostats, security cameras, lighting, TVs, entertainment centers, etc. With Google linked to my Logitech Harmony Hub, I have full control of my entertainment center. I can control my Philip Hue Smart lights all over my place. And what makes this better than just a normal smart speaker with voice commands, is I get buttons on the screen for even more control of my smart home. Definite buy for a smart home user!

I already have a few Google Minis, so I was already familiar with the infrastructure. Bought this one to go in the kitchen. Love the ability to ask for recipes and have it pop up on the screen. To be fair, it's pretty much an Android tablet with a better speaker (Yay!) and no camera (also a Yay!). If you are already invested in the Google infrastructure, or are just now delving into the realm of home assistants, then I would highly recommend this device.

Only drawback is the Google Home app, but that is not this piece of equipment. Has excellent sound. I also really like the embedded screen in the device.

I love this hub, and I have 3 of them now. We use them for alarm clocks, timers, to listen to music, to view the front door camera when someone rings the doorbell, and to ask any question we have for Google. I plan on adding smart bulbs in the house and will use these to control the lighting. I love getting my morning news and weather update when I just say, "Hey Google, good morning."

This is an amazingly useful device. Bought as a gift for my mother who is 90. She enjoys it. My sister lives with her and uses it to play music, watch YouTube and get recipes in the kitchen. We have a larger Lenovo version at home that my wife uses as an alarm clock and to get news in the morning. These speakers can do so many things, they keep surprising you the longer you own them.

We have this mounted in our kitchen under our corner cabinet. When we learned about google photos and this hub became the best digital picture frame you could buy. This is also a google assistant with a screen. My wife watches shows while cooking; I watch YouTube while cooking; the kids ask all sorts of questions to it; we all get caught just watching the slideshow of family photos! Great purchase especially as a gift.

I love having this set up on my kitchen counter. I recommend getting one for your kitchen. It can do so many things, but the ability to display a recipe on it, rather than on your phone and getting your phone dirty by scrolling up and down makes it completely worth it. Additionally, you can have it read you the news, the weather, tell you a joke, control home smart appliances, play music and tv.

Like having the display, it is a decent size. Set up is easy, great sound in the speakers. Excellent value.

My kids use it to listen to music, find new music, and watch some videos. I like that I can see all my smart lights and can control the from the device. The wake up mode and sleep mode are pretty cool. I go to sleep to thunder storms and wake up to hearing the weather for the day.

I use this with my nest doorbell and have loved it! Easy to use and the speaker sou ds great!

This Home hub is incredible good , I bought one for my mom for entertaining her she is 93 years old and she ask to google assistance for several tasks like radio stations, shopping make phone calls its just a great help for her and the good thing is that you can do it in different languages that I bought one for me even when I have Amazon Alexa but this google product is far better and you can use any language of your preferences that Alexa can’t

Love this little gadget! We have it in the kitchen currently and is really nice to be able to have some music playing while cooking. The cookbook option is really nice too. We're able to keep our favorite recipes close and can just follow al ok ng on the screen. We also love that we can send broadcast messages to the other Google gadgets we have in the bedrooms so we can send messages to each other
