It was incredible the difference this made swapping this out of a Comcast modem/router combo plus the having 2 telephone jacks in the back are a great feature.

Easy setup but, if you’re dropping the land line, you may have to call your provider To reconfigure your account.

This modem kept me connected to the internet. Not really any down time, especially because of this device.

This was purchased to solve a problem with the Arris Surfboard cable modem I'd been using, and did so quite well. The Surfboard had problems with the DHCP request from my commercial firewall (Cisco ASA or Aruba mobility controller), such that the ISP's DHCP server didn't receive it and the firewall was unable to obtain a public IP address, rendering the ISP network unreachable. This cable modem resolved the issue straightaway, and works very well.

Went to Best Buy to see about getting a new modem and router to replace the modem I rented from Comcast and my old router. Was going to get one unit that had it all, but was recommended by the associates (Sorry, was long ago, forgot names) to get separate modem and router. Glad I listened to them. My connection and speed are better than I had with the old stuff. Saving a lot of money and was super easy to get it hooked up. Just called Comcast and they had no problem at all. Highly recommend.
