Great product but will not work with Optimum voice

I can’t review this modem as I never connected it to my cable provider. I had a problem the the location of the RJ11 ports using a required port / phone splitter. The return was easy and quick at BestBuy.

Works as advertised. There were no surprises from the product but there were surprised from the services, VOIP is working but the features expected have not worked so far.

Although it works fine, my internet speed is not the same as it was with my old Arris modem. I don't know if it's a Comcast problem or an issue with the modem, but after the Arris died on me this was what I was left with.

It's an ok product. It started frequently disconnecting from Internet. Life of this product is 18 months. You will be out of warranty by then and will need to buy a new modem.

While my download speed remained about the same, my upload speed was measurably slowed. Also, as advertised, this DOCSIS 3.0 modem maxes out at 680 Mbps. Accordingly, it will not be able to handle the gigabyte per second download speeds already being offered by Xfinity with the newer DOCSIS 3.1 standard. No point buying technology that effectively is already behind the times. So, I returned this unit and got Comcast to install one of their DOCSIS 3.1 rental units for data and telephony function until retail versions of DOCSIS 3.1 with telephony function become available for sale to the public.

Since we didn't need it, the box was never opened and it was returned to the store. Nice box though! We have used other Netgear products in the past, generally with good results.

it only has one ethernet port so I wasn't able to use it at home. I will probably try to use it somewhere else or give it to someone who doesn't need more than one ethernet port.

I had to return this. It seems good but does not Support the highest 1 gig tier of Comcast. Best Buy was good to work with in the purchase and the return.

The drawback with this modem is that the phone access only works with Comcast phones that but it’s not clear on the package nor was it made clear at the store

Works fine and is giving 200Mb+ connectivity for hardwire. But only has 2 Ethernet ports which came as a bit of surprise and is limiting.

It's cool but wasn't strong enough for me. We have security cameras hooked up to our network and this couldn't handle the job.

Does not work with Xfinity's new cable boxes that connect over WiFi. They will not work on any modem or router other than the one that Xfinity gives you. To quote the technician "You can get a much better product elsewhere (referring to modems and routers) so we trap people with this system." Sad but true, they are the only option for a provider in our area.

The Cable Modem worked with Xfinity Internet service and Voice phone service perfectly. It has one Port - to which I connected a N600 Wireless Router. The speeds on my wifi dropped dramatically from an average of 60 Mbps with a direct connect at the Cable Modem Port to 6 Mbps thru the N600 wifi router. Returned the product

I replaced NETGEAR with a ARRIS which works very well

Would not work with WOW cable. Could not end up using product.

This isn’t compatible with xfinity booster or extreme speed plans, need to go for DOCSIS 3.1

Have to get for Comcast if you have the phone, internet and cable

We purchased this useless modem for a vacation cabin two hours away where we have at&t dsl internet service. I specifically asked an employee via phone at the local store if this modem would work with our service. "Oh yes, there's really no difference between cable and dsl modems", he replied. I took it to the cabin the day after it arrived, connected it as the previous modem had been connected but it failed to get the computer connected to the internet. Calling at& t I reached a man at their internet support desk. He asked the model number of this Netgear modem then replied"that's a cable modem, it won't work with your service. You need a dsl compatible modem" We couldn't reach a human at the 888-Best Buy number so I'll have the credit card company cancel the charge. Don't buy this modem for dsl service.

Thought this would make my internet connection faster but it didn’t. Want to return it but because of the pandemic, I am unable to. I emailed Best Buy how I can return it but their response was lame which didn’t help me at all! Waiting for the store to open & they better let me return it.
