I am running my own Wi-Fi (Google Wi-Fi) over Comcast's network. I have triple play. I wanted an Arris modem, but this was the only one that Best Buy had at the time. This modem has performed fantastically for me so far. My Comcast package provides up to 75 mbps, I am getting over 80. I hope that it continues to perform this well.

If you are on ANY COMCAST special pricing bundle, installation of this modem MAY cancel it and your rate will go to full price! They tried this with me, it just happened my bundle rate ran out at same time. Call First to confirm. Modem worked great, speed is very good. I'm back in charge of my network without having ISP involved. You do need a wi-fi router to share your connection. WI-FI is not included.

Very quick and easy set up, and has worked flawlessly since coming out of the box.

Seeing your home network/stand alone PC(s) ... "crawling along" ??? This is a perfect MODEM upgrade at a great value !!! Match it with an upgrade of your Router/Switch and you're Rock'n ... I recommend Linksys model "EA 7300" ... it "ROCKS " !!!!! so will your speed !!!

This modam was easy to set up and it saves me money for not having to pay Xfinity

If you rent your modem from Comcast, you need to buy this and return theirs. Far less expensive over time and you don't have to deal with them (Comcast).

Is for internet and voice (telephone) but has only one port for the yellow internet connection which was inconvenient when connecting with the router. Wifi good on 2nd floor of raised ranch.

Didn’t want to pay xfinity for the rental modem/router they give you. I absolutely love this modem, it’s the only modem that you can get that has voice activation. It was a bit of a hassle to get the telephone working because xfinity had to activate the lines which took 8 hrs to do buy in the end. It’s a great modem, faster speeds and works better then the rental modems

I wanted a decent modem that would replace the poor quality one that I had been renting through Comcast. This one worked out well and has been fine.

This modem is an excellent product, especially if you are looking for a way to reduce your cable bill each month. The one-time purchase will be a long-term win for your wallet. The only reason i didn't give this 5 stars is because, while the modem was completely compatible with my triple play provider, comcast, it was not compatible with cablevision's voice service despite the best buy rep stating that it works for both.

We purchased this modem after our comcast one kicked the bucket. I don't know why we didn't purchase our own modem sooner. Don't waste your money with a rented one from Comcast! Setup was easy even though you do have to call Comcast to activate it. Very fast connections and no drop in service.

Works right out of the box. Much cheaper than leasing from Xfinity.

I bought this to swap for my Xfinity rental and it worked well. Saved me monthly fees and is very reliable for data and voice. If you don't need a phone line then you can just get the regular version which is cheaper. Install had a bit of hiccup and needed Netgear CS but was resolved.
