Just moved into the area and got Comcast. Instead of paying a monthly rental fee I purchased this modem for less than 4 months of rental. It works great and to quote my WIFI test “Blazing Fast”.

It's been about 7-8 months we are using it. It has worked well so far. But our previous Netgear modem stopped working exactly after 2 years of purchase. Let's see how long this one works fine.

Easy set up from net gear side of things Comcast very difficult to get to added activate on their system Spent upwards of 4 hours over 5 days due to the wrong model number being entered by them

Works fine. Doesn’t lose Internet connection. However I switched to AT&T and therefore don’t use it.

Worked perfectly and set up was a breeze. I contacted tech support to ask about setting up different channels for better thru put and they were a great help and even offered a better suggestion!

Needed this model for our voice land line and it seems to be working good so far.

This modem has worked perfectly with Xfinity high speed internet. Moreover, we use the VOIP feature and love it. I would highly recommend this modem.

This router is perfect for internet plus voice. It was cheap enough that it will pay for itself in less than a year (in avoided modem rental costs), and it is plenty fast enough to do the job.

I initially experienced some issues with the signal dropping and I would have to reset the power. This mostly disappeared when I upgraded from my apple router to the Orbi which is also a Netgear product. It has been stable since.

Bought this to use exclusively for phone. I have a separate Netgear DOCSIS 3.1 modem for internet. This unit is an older model DOCSIS 3.0. but I’m using it just for phone and it works perfectly.

Works Perfect! Now I don’t have to pay my Internet company for using theirs ! It paid for itself. Works Great!

I bought this to replace the Xfinity modem I had in order to save on my monthly bill. This one works great.

If you have a land-line through Xfinity, this cable modem might be for you. It works great. Remember, must add wireless router if you also need to make your internet wireless.

Ready to stop paying needless rental fees for equipment that’s overrated? This cable modem kicks butt.

Easy to install but I got some assistance from the cable company in order to get the numbers linked to the modem. after that everything was prefect

It has been just what I needed. With cable costing so much, being able to find a compatible modem that allows me to continue my service minus the monthly fee is great.

Switched to Comcast and bought this fast modem. Setup in the basement and paired with TPlink Router. I highly recommend this modem to avoid monthly rentals from Comcast.

The NETGEAR CM500V Cable Modem for Internet & Voice gave me much improved performance. Even better, I'm free from the equipment fees imposed by my internet provider!
