I personally use this network switch to extend the network in my bedroom so i can hardwire more devices. it has never given me trouble and the only nitpick i have is that the indicator lights on the front are brighter than id like for sleeping but thats to be expected of most any network switch. Nothing to complain about here and at least at the time of buying it was a great value and ill happily keep using this switch for years to come.

If you need a simple to use unmanaged switch to expand the ports on your WiFi or WiFi Mesh router it can't get much easier than this one. Plug it in, plug in a patch cable between your WiFi router and this switch and you have 7 additional ports you can control from your WiFi router. It certainly helped me out with expanding my new Mesh WiFi system to connect all of the computers and network devices in my media room.

Good network gigabit switch. The router works well wish it had a way to turn off the LEDs. Easy to setup and have it working within 10 mins.

I have a Google mesh network in my house, but each puck only has one ethernet port and I wanted to hardwire in my Xbox and PS4 (along with some other devices). I did some research and found this Netgear. Works just as advertised. Plugged it and the ethernet cords in and it all works seamlessly.

This switch works like it should. I also noticed that it and the included power supply run cold even with high network traffic. That implies that it does not use much power - a good thing. By comparison, the 100Mbit switch that I replaced with this one ran quite warm, as did the power supply.

My home is so wired, I had to update from a 5-port switch to this 8-port one. Usual Netgear quality - just plug and play. Looks great next to my Smarthings hub and plays nicely with my router. No traffic issues so far and 4k streaming works fine.

I recently purchased this because when I upgraded my router it only had two ethernet ports and I have five electronics that needed ports. I did some quick searching and found this one and it works great. I haven't had a problem at all and set up was basically plug it in and turn it on.
