    We bought this for a new desktop that didn't have any WiFi support. It can be plugged directly into a USB port on the pc or it can be plugged into an included base and then the base plugged into the pc. The intention is to get the antenna into a location for better reception, but the cable for the base needs to be a little longer.

    My wireless card has issues with Windows 10 and after months of trying everyone potential solution in the book I decided to give this a try and BOOM!!! Back in business... paired with my NightHawk router and I am connected again...

    Bought this for my home..connected it to my computer about 30 feet from modem/router. I have 75 GB from att, I consistently get that on the computer connected to this device. Bad side- occasionly the device becomes "not recognised" upon starting the computer, it easily reconnects (takes about 1 second), just odd it disconnects like that

    Working remotely has its challenges and I definitely needed this to connect my desktop with my Internet router which is located on the ground floor (I am on fl3). Let me tell you it works, though sometimes connection does drop. Nothing that isn't an easy fix though..

    The BB sales clerk talked me into upgrading my Xfinity supplied router with a new Netgear router and a cable modem, and I could save the Xfinity fees. I guess I save some fees, but there was no improvement in performance in our house - to the contrary, we seem to continually lose connection with this Netgear router. A waste of our money, sadly.

    I purchased this for my dad's Tower PC since he does not have an internal wireless card and I must say the installation was so easy. The hardware itself is sturdy and comes with a docking station to put on a desk. Very impressed with the signal quality it grabs from our wireless router. This is a solid product.

    After my daughter's computer stopped connecting to our wi-fi, replacement of her adapter with this excellent device got her up and running again. Stays connected, wakes easily with the computer, and we've had zero connection problems from her PC.
