Had it for less then a month, and it was working great. Good speeds, good connectivity, and then one day it just needed to be reset constantly and wont hold a connection. Returning it now...

Super easy to set up but had to reset daily. Reset as in reboot computer or unplug unit. at least a 5-7 minute ordeal... Went with another system and have had zero issues since. Good luck! -Bob T

The wifi connection with my computer is great…now. I had to spend some time researching how to get this device to install and show up on my computer. Install the stand alone driver and then restart the computer and wifi networks should appear.

First off I'd just like to say I love netgear products and there is nothing actually wrong with this product. IT WAS THE DRIVER DISK. Apparently, the drivers on the disk disable your computers ability to pick up wifi, by messing with something the OS install. I'm not an expert, this was just info from forums on Netgear's website. The only fix i could find was to re-install the operating system. If you don't use the disk in the box and install the drivers from online, like I usually do, then there is no problem at all. MY roommate's works great!

I bought it since i was working from home and the ethernet connection was far from my home office it worked great at first but after 2 months it started to slow down

Having Internet access without inserting a card into the computer seems a great idea. In the university environment it is NOT. The instructions for use require access to the roother which is not the case here. So far the thing does NOT work

Although the USB 3 is great and the set up simple, the wire make it very restrictive to the computer. In addition there is no way to ensure the antenna is placed in the optimum position

I bought couple of options to make sure that I could chose the best. My first option was Netgear since I have modem with the same brand, I tried it first and wasted several hours on making sure it could start to work. Support was the worst. On the phone with several people, multiple disconnections, no phonecalls back etc. Decided to go with another options of WI-Fi adapter (Asus AC53 nano). Spent less than 5 minutes and was ready to go with similar functionality and 20 times less in size.

It was impossible for us to get this product to work. First we tried to use it on my Mac only to find out that it was incompatible with Macs. Then we tried it on my son's Windows PC and it didn't work on that either.

An internal network connection went out and Geek Squad recommended I purchase this, but it didn't work.

Husband purchased this for my laptop after I complained that my internet was slow. Never saw any difference in my internet and after two weeks quit connecting and went back to the regular wi fi on my laptop. Total waste of money.

It works ok but I’m not getting great speeds on it even with a pretty much straight shot short distance to my router. Set up and connection was easy

I got a maximum speed of 24Mbps but most of the time it was hovering around 12-14 and some times it drops dead.... certainly not my internet or wifi as other devices at the same time are able to stream.

When I first got the Netgear AC1200 Dual-Band WiFi USB 3.0 Adapter it seemed to bring what it was made to do, that is send the equivalent speed from the router's position 40 ft. away (direct line of sight) to the computer without loss or very little. Now, 10 days later, it makes about 5 Mbps difference (plugged or unplugged). As a note, it also doesn't help to use the cord with the adapter or using it plugged directly into the laptop computer. I have used Netgear products for years and can attest to their performance until this product. Sorry Netgear!

Even though this is a good product I had to return it for two reasons. One it was not compatible with apple Mac. Second was because my specific camera system could only work on different wifi adapter model.

i have used this and at times it loses connection, and that is annoying. i even have it sitting next to the wifi router, and it still will dropo connection many times in a couple of hours.
