Don’t waste your money
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router is extremely spotty. My internet constantly goes offline. I was going to return it and it exchange it, but evidently it too late to do either. Plsssss DO NOT waste your money on this router/modem. It’s definitely not worth it.

Not compatible at residence
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I brought the unit and had to call my internet provider because the router was not receiving a signal. He worked on it for about 2 hours before telling that I could not use the router at this residence which shocked me because I didn't think that this type of equipment had that type of restriction. Anywho I ended up having to return it and purchasing a new router of a different brand. I was not happy about that seeing how my last router was a Netgear. Oh well.

Didn't work for me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Thought have a router/modem combination would be a huge benefit, only one device to have to worry about. Set up was not as easy as the online description or some of the review stated and it wouldn't work with our cable phone. Didn't state that anywhere except in tiny print on the box.

Feeble Coverage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were disappointed in this router because it was supposed to be "40 percent more powerful" than the one we replaced. It's not, and is even less powerful. Wi-fi, drops out frequently, and is overwhelmed by our neighbor's located some distance away.

Easy to set up, all-in-one solution
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was growing tired of having a separate router and modem (that didn't seem to like to work together very much) and had been waiting to get an all-in-one modem/router for a while. Design The design is sleek and minimal, and for once doesn't seem to suffer from any stability problems from cords (being an all-in-one probably helps this). The footprint isn't cumbersome, around 8(H) x 8(W) x 3(D) and the black color matches my computer case so it blends well. The LEDs are on the front and clear to see (with a great explanation of each in the manual). Installation Installation is a breeze, again the all-in-one solved the half dozen or so issues I always had between my previous router (Netgear N300) and modem (Netgear CM500). This was no fault of either unit, but Comcast itself has known issues when you don't use the stuff they try to sell you and set everything up yourself. After screwing in the coax and plugging the device in, I was up and running in under two minutes once I activated the AC1600 with my Comcast account . I signed into my account and done... almost, Comcast strikes again, with a known DNS issue (overrides to the initial setup screen every time you open the browser). The wifi works flawlessly, just frustrating Chrome doesn't open to my start page... apparently you have to call Comcast to fix, and I haven't bothered yet. Cost While the price tag looks a bit high, I think it's worth the value as not only clears up a lot of the cord and device clutter around my desk, but works seamlessly together, plus I'd rather pay of this than give Comcast anything more than I already do. Performance Fast, really fast as well as a much stronger signal throughout my house (one-story, 2500 sqft.) and well into my backyard, where no router has gone before (without an extender). Overall My overall thought is that this is a great improvement over some of the previous Netgear hardware I've bought both on functionality and design. If you are looking for a quick, easy solution... this is it. I am fortunate enough to receive Netgear hardware for free as a reviewer, however I can assure you this is an honest and accurate review. Netgear sends us these units to test, and wants real feedback to make them better and has addressed poor reviews I have left on other units quickly (e.g. an early version of the AC1750 router that was practically DOA).
