Bought for use with cable internet

It kept dropping the signal and delivered much slower speeds then promised. Comcast gave me one of theirs to try and I got immediate positive results with speeds well over 100 MB’s , not the 10-12 MB’s I was receiving with the Netbear.

Worst modem ever purchased.

This modem stopped working 2 days after getting hooked up, disconnected me and couldn't get back up and It is not my internet provider. This is why I don't buy NETGEAR products anymore. I would go with an ASUS modem/router instead. Don't purchase it's not worth it. Also the setup is a pain....

Questionable range

False advertisement!!!

Disappointed!

We bought this with high expectations as we were not satisfied with speed of earlier router. But from the day 1 we started facing issues with wifi speed, started fluctuations and device connectivity. We thought it might be solved in few days. Days went on and we din t track on our warranty period (90 days). And we were not ready to pay a penny on this again.

Poor Customer service

Talked to the service provider and gave a pertinent information about the new device. Unit would not work, ended up talking to customer service (net gear) and they blamed the service provider. Went back and forth 2 more times and it was always the service provider not net gear. I returned this item and bought a Motorola. Instant connection no need to even call customer service.

Terrible Support

The documentation on the router is trash that is out of date, so it won't be any help. The programs it references no longer exist on the Netflix page. Works fine as a basic modem/router.

Don’t buy

I’ve exchanged this product 3 times already since I bought it. Geek squad says there’s nothing wrong with it but there is it’s says it hold up to 10 items connected to it but it overloads and then the whole thing shuts off we got 400 Mbps and it still doesn’t work

Horrible

And acted liked password was already set. Calling support (netgear) lead to them wanting $99.00 for protection from port hi jacking. And would not reset me unless we purchased. So returned product and went back to my old cable modem that had no problems just wanted more range. Netgear is off my list!

Don't waste your time on this one

This one worked fine for about a week, then would only allow one device at a time. Geek Squad recommended returning it and replacing with separate modem and router. Good advice - problem solved.

I hope you can extend the time limit to return items due to this reason

They only work collectively with Xfinity wireless modem. A slick move to prevent you from buying your own modem for wireless comcast cable boxes. They want you to pay for the monthly price for Comcast equipment. Netgear should have done their research.
