The setup was very easy. I plugged the cable line in and followed the instructions in the package. The best part was not having to sit on the phone with Comcast Xfinity as I was able to set up the Modem/Router on my computer, with no problems. The combination of a modem and router is great, so having the AC1600 work so well has been awesome so far. I was able to reduce the amount of cables between a separate modem and router, plus having both products built into one is ideal. This product is recommended for connecting multiple devices and not losing speed or connectivity. We currently have an Xbox One, Laptop, 2 Iphones, and an Ipad all connect to the AC1600, and have not noticed a drop in speed. The download speed difference is faster than my previous setup, which is always a plus. The NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1600 WiFi Cable Modem Router (C6250) exceeded my expectations and is well worth the price. If you are currently renting a modem from Comcast, I HIGHLY recommend you purchase this product. The installation was easy and I had it up and running very quickly once out of the box. My main router/modem is a Netgear Nighthawk C6300 and while this one is not as powerful I am still getting very fast speeds and a reliable connection. I haven't had to reset it yet and have been using for about a month now. The guest network access feature is really convenient. Also the available usb input for a external drive allows to to add a network drive and back-up/access files which is also super convenient. The parental block is also slightly easier to use than most other routers/modems. One con I found was that it only has 2 ethernet ports, but many people will utilize the wifi. Overall the price to performance ratio is great on the C6250. I would recommend this to anyone who was a modem - router all in one and is searching for fast and reliable speeds at a decent price.

I was so excited to try this Netgear Nighthawk AC1600 WiFi Cable Modem Router (C6250) out because I previously had a Medialink WiFi Cable Modem Router that would seem to lose internet connectivity AT LEAST once a week. I couldn't stand calling Time Warner only to find out that there was no outage in my area and so I had to always turn off the Medialink Modem Router and start it back on after waiting 15 seconds. It was a weekly hassle that I couldn't stand. Then I get this Netgear Router (C6250) as part of a testing program and BOY AM I GLAD I WAS ONE OF THE TESTERS!!! Because after I easily installed the Netgear Router and called Time Warner to provide them my MAC address, I was all ready and set to go after 10 minutes. After installing Netgear Genie, the entire process of password protecting it, checking out my real download/upload speeds, and even the ability to put on parental blockers was SO EASY!!! AND BEST OF ALL....(drumroll please) I have not had 1 single drop in internet connectivity yet!!! Internet speeds are so much faster too! I can't believe I endured living with that piece of junk called Medialink Router and I am so happy that I switched to this Netgear Router!!! I'm never going back and I would certainly recommend this product to a friend or a family member without hesitation! Finally, I did receive this NETGEAR product for free as part of a NETGEAR First look unbiased review program.

I originally got this through a product testing program. I've had it up for 6 months and have not had any down time. The range is great, and the connection speeds are top notch. Set up was super easy, as the only difficult part was getting the support guy from my cable company to understand I was trying to change modems. The Genie app is kind of slow and not super intuitive, but it does a good job of helping manage my network. I wish ReadyShare could be more easily used outside the app or on my PC. I would give this 5 stars if that could happen.

I got this to replace an ailing TP-Link, out of the box and broadcasting in 5 min, (14 min for a call to the cable company) then live, I have an extender downstairs and upstairs sits this little thing, my speeds upstairs from 26 Mbps to 152 Mbps 5G about half that 2.4G, downstairs went from 6 to 174 again 5G, 26 with 2.4, so far the speed have not decreased an it has been a week running 24/7 lots of info on the web for setup and tweaking, glad i bought it
