I was having problems with streaming movies into my other bedrooms of my house. I went to Best-Buy and asked one of their reps there if they had any suggestions. I already had a "good" Netgear modem. He suggested to upgrade my modem to this one for "they upgrade modems like they do computers and you have to stay up with the game." Hooked up this modem back home and it does help with "punching" through the walls and it even helped my wireless computer in the other room (one that I'm typing on right now) get better reception. Highly recommend..

Bought this combo modem router for my son who is a gamer. Better than arris one I bought for myself.

I bought this cable modem to use with Comcast internet service and it has been great. Setup was very easy, connection was established quickly (once Comcast was called and advised about the new modem) and speed has been consistent at the upper end of Comcast's claimed ISP speed. The big difference I noticed was the ability to connect to the WiFi signal from all corners of the condo. It is a big unit (2,500 sq ft) and there is a lot of metal in the walls which was interfering with the previous router's connection ability. However, this Netgear AC1600 easily sent a reliable signal from one end of the condo to the other. I am very please with this item!

So after a lot of reading reviews and doing web searches ibgot this cable modem router combo it works perfectly in every room of our condo.

Had to replace an aging modem and router, so decided to go with one combo unit. After researching what would work well with Xfinity and consulting reviews, decided on this Netgear model. It was easy to set up and the increased speed was evident right away. Very happy with this purchase!

Definitely the best decision in the last week. Since I make the change the internet speed is way over the top. Faster, smoother in my laptop, PS4 and cellphone. And the set up is very very easy to do. As soon as I got it, I just connect it and called my service provider to register the device in order to have the internet on.

This products is great. We have Comcast as our provider and I refused to rent their router. My previous router was 6 years old and was the time for upgrade. This combo fulfills all needs, I am getting a solid 200Mbps throughout every corner of the house, even the downstairs media room that I could never get a reliable signal.

I am using this item just couple days. It’s really good, works fast with xfinity internet. And you don’t have to spend money for modem.

Great product. I have a Ipad, iPhone,tv & a printer. The printer is hardly used but the this product gets the job done with no problems.

It took some doing to get it set up the way I needed it for Spectrum but once that was done it performs flawlessly. I love it and the price was not bad either! I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to cut the cord from their cable company and start a LOT of steaming from the internet.

I did read the reviews prior to purchasing this modem/router. Says it's compatible with Comcast/Xfinity.. and while it is, and does it's job.. the wireless feature disconnects frequently from my devices. Also.. from Comcast/Xfinity they have a hard time "seeing" my modem/router. That's what they say anyway. Otherwise.. it was easy to install. Thanks!

I got this for spectrum previously time warner and works great, just require a couple of hours with telephone tech to get it setup.

This wifi router was east to set up and has useful features such as guest mode. The installation and setup were simple and quick essential plug and play. The performance is better than the Xfinity provided router I replaced which seemed slower and had lesser range. My only complaint is the footprint could be smaller as I am a bit squeezed for shelf space

I've only had it a month, easy install, sleek, small, modern looking. Like having the user ID & password on the router itself, makes it easier to use. Speed has been terrible, but Comcast needs to come out & check it, but I live in an area that has had speed issues.

The coverage is good no lag for 4k streaming while someone else playing online on console. I would recommend this product.

This is a great buy for a large sqft home/ apt. I havr been using it for more than 2 months now and it works like a champ!

I used this to replace the Arris modem that my cable company was renting to me, and saw marked improvements in speed tests

I have this set up in one corner of a 1150sqft loft apartment and it generally works well. It covers the whole space just fine. Occasionally I have some connection problems when about 12ft away on my phone but I can't really tell if that's due to the Comcast, the router or my phone - but it's probably the router.

So I moved and signed up for internet service, I figured they would charge me to rent their modem, so go this instead. Works really well, simple installation and setup. Good performance, has USB ports so you could attach to printer or hard drive to be shared.

Beats cable modem given by provider. Hands down! Better speeds and quicker service. Plus get rid of modem rental fee.
