I bought this router because I am switching to Comcast high-speed internet and was trying to save money by self-installing. Be warned that Comcast tricks you into paying for the technician to come out and run the coax cable. I'm sure the router works fine but I haven't had the chance to test it yet.

I choose Netgear because I have purchased at least 10 modems and/or routers made by netgear. They have had the easiest user interfaces and the best support systems, it has been my experience they go above and beyond for their customers. I have had the best luck with Netgear so I bought their product again.

I had an Xfinity Modem that was just not performing to Xfinity's promises for faster WIFI not to mention my cell phone kept coming up saying network instability. Also was tired of paying the $10 rental fee every month. Bought this to replace their modem and I have faster WIFI speeds and no network instability.

I purchased this item to replace the Gateway I have been leasing from Comcast for my internet and xfinity. So far, so good, as it seems to have at least the same "speed" as the one provided by Comcast.

We were trying to save some $ to reduce our cable bill. So, we purchased this to avoid leasing one from the cable company. It works well. The only drawback is we still have a landline and there is no phone jack on the unit. So, we still have to have the cable company unit as well.

I’ve never set up a modem/router. I wanted to hook up my Comcast cable myself so I went to Best Buy and this product was recommended. The associate said it was easy to set up. She was right...it was so easy! I got my cable hooked up and now I’m a pro. Haha. I highly recommend this.

called Xfinity to implement hookup because I needed to return their 10 modem anyway. not getting the connection issues with this NETGEAR like I was getting with Xfinity modem, Big Plus also got it with my points so if you are not using a Best Buy card to accumulate points. So Sorry for You.

Cable just keeps getting more and more expensive. Purchased this product and ditched the cable bills. Have about 24 channels including Fox ABC CBS. Channels come in very clear. Recommend this to anyone who is ok watching basic channels.

Setting up the modem/router was very simple. The user interface is easy to navigate making it simple to customize the security settings to your own liking. The phone app is fun and useful, but you can only do it while in range of the wifi, it is still handy however. Overall great value for the price.

I don’t know if it’s just our service provider, but the wifi signal is dropped aaaaall the time. Very annoying. Decently fast when it works.

I've owned this for years now and it's still solid. Security updates are still supported and connection is solid as day one. Even with over 15 devices running off of it in a 6 bedroom house, I get great 5.0 connection everywhere I go in the house.

I bought this but had to take it back because I'm also internet phone service and this Router did not have the connection I needed to plug in my phone. It worked great for internet. I would recommend this product for internet use only it however cover my home pretty well.

Purchased at store associate's recommendation Worked overseas for years, and needed home entertainment, local HDTV, WiFi modem/router, and speaker system, stand, etc. Received excellent store associate advice, procuring a system that will be great for years to come.

I bought this router modem because I was tired of paying Comcast rental for modem I am so happy I made this decision to buy because I am very satisfied with this product I highly recommend you could put up to six electronics and the Wi-Fi is awesome thank you!!!

Installation and activation with Xfinity was very easy and straight forward. Followed installation instruction and had no problem at all. Compare with my previous Linksys router installation, this was wayyyy... easier. Wifi covered whole house 1st & 2nd floor and basement with good speed.

We were hesitant about buying a dual modem but it actually works really great for our usage and it takes up less space and less clutter. I'd reccomend it if you're looking for an upgrade.

Don't know why we waited so long to purchase our our modem/router...wasted several hundred dollars to COX over the years renting monthly! Great customer service. Took a little time to set it up but well worth the trouble.
