I love this set top box, I use it everyday. I would totally recommend. I love the Netflix app and the hulu plus app are really awesome. I would buy again and again. Compared to the other reviews I presume that some people are hard to please. I Love this and to note I have a netgear n600 router that is why it perhaps works seamlessly. This is Highly Highly recommended. I am as thrilled about it since I got it for christmas.

Ive had this one for about a year also (have a Roku) and tho this one is limited on what you can do it will get the job done, good for a bedroom or a secundary bedroom.

I bought this hoping to use for Netflix, and hulu. Got home and set it up. Went to watch a show and it froze and would not respond. Unplugged it and it felt like it had overheated within 20 minutes of using it.

I like this for my grandmother. She likes the ease of use & how she can watch all her classics on hulu.

I bought this to repurpose a nondigital TV to stream netflix to my son's TV. After I got it home and out of the box I realized it only has an HDMI output. I needed a composit output and a audio output. I ended up taking it back and bought a blue-ray player that had the outputs for only $20 more that played netflix, hulo, and youtube. I would only recomend this player if your TV has an HDMI input.

I have had my Neo TV for over six months now, and from the beginning it has emitted this high pitched squeal that gives me a headache. It isn't loud, but when you unplug the box, you can feel your ears relax, so to speak. I noticed this noise right from the get go, but was thinking that it was probably just new equipment that needed to warm up first. Unfortunately, it has lasted over six months. I like the features this device has, but the screaming makes it not worth it. Unless you're deaf, I wouldn't recommend this.

if you don't have a wifi blueray, this is a charm!

I bought this for my upstairs TV. Downstairs I a have a roku device that works flawlessly. This first thing of note is this thing works really slow. The menus are very slow compared with the Roku (my connection is a 35mbit connection so it is not the internet connection). This device does slightly better plugged directly into the router than on its wiress. Also this unit consistantly locks up and for some stupid reason everytime you visit the home screen it decides to reconnect to the internet. If this unit actually worked itr would be a nice unit. If you buy one plan on rebooting it constantly because the software it messed up.Turning the unit on its side sometimes helps with the heat. This was a waste of money.

When I first purchased it I noticed that the apps, Netflix particularly were very slow and prone to crashing. At the time i thought this was related to by poor internet connection. After upgrading my internet to a 50 Mb connection, the apps were still the same. After the most recent firmware update Netflix will not function at all. I have tried every solution offered on Netgear's support site to no avail. This box is junk. Do not buy!

Great use for what we needed it for without the large expense of a new smart TV

I bought this so we could stream Netflix. The device is extremely unresponsive. I press stop and it keeps playing. The video and audio are frequently out of sync, sometimes it is so bad that it is unwatchable. Frequently, when I turn it on, it takes a very long time to load. I have never had a problem streaming Netflix with my laptop, even in locations where I am sharing bandwidth (like a hotel). I am so disappointed in this device! I wish I had saved the box!

I got this at discounted rate. It is very slow streaming device.Keeps loading after every few seconds especially youtube. Youtube works fine for me on other devices. I returned it.

Had this for some time now when loading move's it plays the move but shows its still down loading. the player will take up to two or three minutes to respond have to turn off to work

Lots of apps, even though I only use Netflix it's comforting to know I have that many options

This is a perfect add on to access online apps when your tv does not have internet built in.

I expected better from Netgear.....Bought 2 units, both got returned. Constant lockups, always failing to boot.

Difficult to work through and get an activation code. I used this to watch one movie and then came back to it a week later and it needed about 10 minutes of updates. Even though the progress bar said 100% it hung there FOREVER!. I have fiber optics, so it ain't my connection buddy. I have a wireless blue-ray that's smart and it does not have this issue. Guess you get what you pay for. I will return this and get a wireless blue-ray that I know works.
