Customers are saying

Customers praise the Nighthawk AC1900 Wi-Fi Router with VDSL/ADSL Modem for its ease of use, strong performance, and wide range. Many appreciate the quick and easy setup process and reliable Wi-Fi signal, resulting in excellent coverage throughout their homes. However, some customers find the router's size to be a drawback, and a few mention that the price point is relatively high. The strong performance and broad coverage generally outweigh these concerns for most users.

Hooked every thing up like it said. DSL light would not go on. 90 minutes with Netgear support, which was great. They determined it was a problem with unit. Even did firmware update. Returned & got second one. Same problem so I called AT&T tech. They walked me through everything and finally had an appointment for AT&T tech to come out. They came out and everything fine on line. Saw the results. Technician couldn't get it going. My settings show internet hooked up, but won't let me access it. Read other tech problems and this seems to be a common occurence.

Will not stay connected to the internet. It needs to be reset alt least three to four times a day. The unit has proven to be very unreliable. I would not recommend this unit, and am considering replacing it at my earliest opportunity.

bought AC1900 to replace my 4 year old net gear router/modem ,because it seemed slow. So far the AC1900 is just as slow and it seems to shut down every couple of hours, which the old router did't do. Not Happy.

Spent 11+ hrs on phone between Frontier and NetGear reps in India. Finally had to get Geek Squad to come out and install. Also had to buy a range extender.

I bought this in Feb 2016 and this router was awesome. Now its April 2017 and I'm just out of Netgear's warranty. so of course the WiFi just died. The only way to get a signal is to be within six inches of the router. Every troubleshooting step including a factory reset did nothing. The WiFi just doesn't work farther than six inches away if even then.

    Nighthawk AC1900 Router Rocks!

The Nighthawk AC1900 was a big time grade for my home internet, and I was really happy to get it through the Netgear F&F program for free so I can test it. My ISP sent a router, but it is no comparison to this router. One of the best things about the Nighthawk is just how easy it is to use. I was able to get it up and running with no hassle at all ! All I had to do was enter the ISP user name and password and the router took over and set everything up for me, I literally didn't have to do a thing. The longer range of the two bands (2.4 and 5.0 GHz) allows my kids to get better reception in their rooms in the back of the house. I also get MUCH better reception when I am out in our detached garage - my previous router wouldn't even reach out there. I really liked the Genie app as well, it makes things so simple to manage, and I don't have to enter in a bunch of IP addresses just to monitor the router and see what is going on. I can also assign QoS features, which makes sure that I get good Netflix while the kids are downloading at the same time. I can even see who is on the network, and restrict certain users. Overall I am so impressed with the router it is hard to explain it, it is dead simple, but if you want to fine tune stuff there are a million options if you want to. Best thing for me, though, is the simplicity and great wireless range! Highly recommended!

Took that baby back after hours of frustration. I have Spectrum for a provider and it just didn't work. Solution? Netgear Night Hawk R8000. Works perfect, stays connected and is lightening fast. Has the MIMO feature which was really important for me. Hint: Leave your guest network off unless you are expecting company. Gives you more broad ban. Netgear should retire this one. Wouldn't stay connected, period.

did not work for us and now we can't return it. Not happy that we are out of $250. Our phone company came in and tested the box and discovered it did not work for us. We were told we could not return it because the 15 days were up and the box was opened. I would have been happy with an in store credit even. Instead I have a $250 item that is no good to me. I'm done with Bestbuy

I tried to return one and they said it works with Century link. I asked to try a different one but he said it was fine and I needed to call Century link to get a password. I called Century link and they gave me the log in but told me to check the list of router that work. Guess what it isn't on the list. But Best Buy now won't let me return it because it's past the return date.

I purchased this as I was told it could be used as modem and router in one and that my phone line could also be connected. Best buy tech apparently told me wrong. It cost me an arm & a leg. Its not working with my phone line, not working as a modem for internet... only working as a router but not connecting to my service provider. So NO INTERNET even through wifi.

The nighthawk worked for three days dropping the wifi consistently and the just quit working completely. I reinstalled the old wifi modem and it is functioning normally and better than the nighthawk. Very disappointed with help from net gear also. Waited for 40 minutes and never spoke to a person. I only have two lights on the display now 1 and 2.

This worked good until product wanted firmware update. Then it quit working. Net gear tech support did not know how to fix it and blamed my ISP provider. I had to take product back to store and go with Century Link provided modem. Net Gear Tech support is Horrible and will not help you out if you have a problem.
