Customers are saying
Customers praise the Nighthawk AC1900 Wi-Fi Router with VDSL/ADSL Modem for its ease of use, strong performance, and wide range. Many appreciate the quick and easy setup process and reliable Wi-Fi signal, resulting in excellent coverage throughout their homes. However, some customers find the router's size to be a drawback, and a few mention that the price point is relatively high. The strong performance and broad coverage generally outweigh these concerns for most users.

Setup was easy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works with Century Link. The only issue I had was calling Century Link for my ISP username and password. Afterwards, the modem/router was easy to setup. Only owned for a couple of days. Speeds are faster than my 6 year old modem/router.

Piece of Garbage. Absymal customer support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the AC1900 in May of 2017. I am not a gamer. Was told that this router would be great for downloading data, internet access, etc. Installed the router. It did not work out of the box. Dropped data constantly on all computers. WiFi was buggy. Spent tons of time with customer service, doing ping tests, etc. Finally customer service said that the router was defective and sent me a new one. Did not get around to installing the new router for three months due to travel and work. Installed replacement. New router did not work on two computers. One was OK. WiFi did not work. Called Netgear customer service. Since I was 2 days out of the telephone support period for the replacement router, Netgear wanted $89.00 to provide telephone help to fix the replacement router. They said if it was my fault they would keep the $89.00. If it was Netgear's fault, they would fix it or send a 3rd replacement router. Bottom line is that the router "hardware" is under warranty for a year, customer support is only good for 3 months. Two routers did not work out of the box. Now Netgear wants more money. These routers are pieces of garbage. Save your money and buy something else with better customer support.

Pain in the As...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Nighthawk AC1900 my whole wi-fi electronic are all insanely disconnected from setting-up of my router, User Name, PassWord and features are so brain draining to set-up plus it takes me 3 hours to set-up this unit. I have good background on setting up gadgets and internet connection so I can say the problem is not on my side. Next day I don't have any wi-fi connection so called Netgear support and I was told firmware on my unit is causing problem and netgear is aware bout this problem and their Engr. are working on the fix so the decided to downgrade my firmware then now my Arlo camera which is owned by netgear is not working. Its mind puzzling that this unit Router AC 1900 is advertised a soul partner for the Arlo camera Netgear. Then I called again technical support from Arlo and I was told on of the port is not open from my Router so they transferred me to Router dept. for them to open and I supplied the info, good I take note the info since Irene from Arlo Netgear frogot to document all the details and the painful mistake she forgot to provide one of the important info( Service type) I was talking to this girl for 54 mins. Lyca from Router dept. help me open but not completely since Irene forgot to provide me the ST to pick. then back to Arlo then when i verified with Arlo staff and apply the changes my internal IP adress is incomplete so the changes did not took place so AGAIN they transfer me to Router dept. since Arlo can't touch the Router so I started 10:05 pm talking to Netgear between Arlo and Router netgear just for today and now Its 3:20am I don't recommend to buy this unless your up to a challenge BIG time. I was told by Netgear router to contact my internet provider COX to open port 433 and 80 so Arlo Netgear and Netgear AC1900 will work and Arlo will work. NOW its 3:12 AM Arlo still not working. Ill call Cox Monday gree. Very disappointing!!!! IF this will not work monday I will return this Router so much stress and pain.

Definitely worth it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been eyeing this product for awhile, but wasn't sure it it would be worth the cost. I picked one up a week ago and wow, it is worth it for sure. Only wish I'd done it sooner. My internet is CenturyLink 10 Mbps down, 0.75 Mbps up. I had a Netgear ADSL modem, connected to an Apple Time Capsule for wifi. With that setup I was seeing speedtest results of 5-6 Mbps over wifi and 7 Mbps over ethernet. Replacing all that with this D700 and now I get my 9-10 Mbps over both wifi and ethernet. Upload also is better, from 0.4-0.5 range to my full 0.7. Wifi range is amazing. I can go pretty far in my 3,00 sq ft home or outside and still get those speeds.

Thank You Best Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great DSL Modem! I was always losing WiFi connection on my 2 Laptops. My ISP suggested a WiFi range extender. I tried 2 different types of range extender and could never connect to the Internet. I had spend at least 14 hours trying to connect these range extender NO LUCK! I had Computer Tech come to install it for $99. He had the same problem like me and just left. My Local Best Buy Kyle was super helpful. He suggested Netgear D7000 AC1900 but expensive. I brought it home and followed instruction to install my Netgear. My ISP is Frontier in So. Cal. Only less than 4 mins I was connected to my internet. The range is great. I have 6 devices connected. Never listened to my ISP. My ISP modem/router D Link 2750b is compatible with any range extender. Wrong! Thank You Best Buy Kyle

DSL Port died within 30 days
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this before Best Buy carried it. Got it in the mail and plugged it in. Could not get it to work at all. Finally double checked everything and tried the filter that came with it (all other DSL devices do not want the filter on the line going into the modem, this one appears to require it). Finally got it working, and checked my speed. My 50/5 was registering at 25/1. Could not get it to go faster than that. Called my ISP and they sent out a tech and said everything was fine outside to the box. I decided I would redo the wiring in my house because it was 40 years old. Got that fixed and the old modem worked instantly no problems, the Netgear would not detect a signal from the ISP ever again. Now I have to return it via the extra warranty company that I bought for it. When it did work, the wireless signal was no stronger than my old no antenna cheap provided by the ISP router (Centurylink C1000A). No stronger than my old Netgear WNDR-3700 which also does not have external antenna's. Was a complete waste of $250 in my case.

Broke at 5 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just spent 5 hours trying to get the Modem Router wired connection to work. Wireless was fine, but was never able to get the wired connection to work. Was fine yesterday; shut my computer off last night; would not connect today. Good luck trying to find any warranty info and a phone number for support. Have to pay a fee to talk to them since I'm past 3 months by a month and a half. Have had other Netgear products over the years, but never again. Once or twice with problems, OK, just got a bad part. It happens. But this is now my 4th or 5th product that was worthless. Bad products; Bad warranty; Bad Customer service; Bad website; un-fixable product even with outside expert support. (Microsoft support as I had decided it was something with Windows, which it was not) Netgear; you lost me as a customer forever!!!

works great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best wireless router that I have owned thus far. It handles a house full of wireless devices and has yet to drop a device yet. I have a 3 floor home and I have it located on the main floor central and elevate above my kitchen cabinets. I covers my entire house really well. I may add an extender in the future for my deck.

Excellent router

Never Failed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has provided the power I have needed to run everything in my home, which is a lot. As long as you keep the dust bunnies away this should last you a long time. I love the slim design and this helps you fit it anywhere.

Junk - Look for another brand router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased in August 2015, died Christmas Day 2015. Yes, thats only 4.5 months. No radio signal, no internet connection, couldnt even log into the page from any computers. Factory reset ineffective. I have a feeling I'm out 200 bucks too after reading the other complaints about Netgear customer support. I will not recommend to others, nor will I ever purchase another Netgear product.

Intermittent performance
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Router connection to internet cut in and out randomly. Probably a bad run of product or a new person was being trained that day in the mfr plant. Purchased 6 months ago and became progressively worse. No more NetGear for this boy!
