This item has boosted my upload and download speed significantly. Wireless range boosted too. I used this to replace my centurylink modem.

My building upgraded our internet service. The increase in speed made my previous router couldn't deal with this. My modem was so old that it needed o go into retirement. I purchased this to replace both of these. It as easy enough to set up. Working great throughout my condo (as well as the one across the hall and upstairs.....

I picked up this router/modem combo to replace a two piece set that I have had for some years now. Since I purchased it two months ago it has been working great - flawlessly in fact. I get great speed and no hiccups. The range is great for all of my mobile devices - two rooms away about 20 feet through walls. So I am happy with it.

Works great for web searches and other activities but not well for gaming return for separate modem and separate router

I got the Nighthawk on the recommendation from one of the sales assistant at Best Buy. I said I wanted the strongest router available in order to ensure that I would get service all over my house. I discovered that I had gotten the wrong one (one that included a DSL rather than a cable modem). When I took it back, I mentioned my concerns about not getting good coverage, and another sales assistant suggested a new Google "distributed" system (one that included three units that could be placed in various locations throughout the house). This worked well, but I ended up returning it in favor of a Plume WiFi that Best Buy didn't carry. It was better than the Google in that it included six (instead of three) modules, each of which were the size of nightlights and could be unobtrusively plugged into the wall in each room of the house.

I read everything i could about this router online before i purchased it and I must say they where right the range is great

Purchased to replace one that the phone company sold to me several year ago. This one works so much better.

I had a perfectly good wireless router that I wanted to replace in hopes of bumping up my speed. Well, the installation was an ordeal. After spending at least an hour on the phone with technical support, i finally got the router up and running. Then after reconnecting all of my wireless devices to the new router, my devices would lose the connection or I would get an inadequate bandwidth notice. This never happened with my other router. I kept it even though I seriously thought about returning it. I might find a use for it elsewhere someday. It's an OK router; I'm not terribly happy with it and I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to anyone. For me, I seemed to have ongoing issues with it.

If it is sitting in a cool location it is a good router. But unless the air conditioner is running on it it tends to overheat and shut down. So depending upon your location and where you located will depend upon your success with it.

I love this router. I’m going too purchase the even larger one. So many things running off my internet

Purchased to replace a 5yr old centurylink modem. Used computer setup application to set up which although somewhat confusing if your not very computer savy. Once set up though, it works flawlessly. Greatly increased my networks range, and speeds up wireless products connected ,due to 2 band frequencies.

Easy to set up and use. Works perfect. Have been using it for a couple weeks and have no issues

The modem, however, is tough. not because of Netgear, but because of Century Link. They don't support Netgear like they do their own brand, so talking with them is hard, especially since their tech support is in the Phillipines.

My old wifi router did not have the range and speeds that were needed in our home environment. Netgear makes a great product and I'm not in any way disappointed with this purchase. Dual band wifi and great range, covers whole house with ease and well out into the yard.

Make sure you update the firmware on this product and it will do wonder's. Set-up was a breeze with the instructions that it has. Nothing much to it though just plug-in and play. Great Product! I have NetGear all around the house and they work outstanding. Can't ask for much more.

It solved my issue! I am not a techi and I hooked it up myself it was very easy to install!

this is the best router I have ever purchased but it took 2 times to get it right. The first one I bought worked great for about 3 days then crapped out (bad port according to my internet company). The second one has lasted 3 weeks now and gets better reception than any router I have owned.

Wish I had purchased this long ago. Much faster than the one from our internet provider!

Wi-fi hasn't dropped since I hooked it up. Running 3 phones 3 computers and an I-pad Without issue

While it is a little big and bulky I can live with that for what I got. The wizard made for a very quick and painless setup. Fantastic range and so far very reliable. This one puts my old system to shame. If you purchase this you will not be sorry. Great product. Great Price.
