Does work fairly flawlessly!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this Nighthawk X4 AC2000 because I needed an extension to my Orbi. Orbi has extensions, but this was about $50 cheaper and for some crazy reason BEST BUY doesn't sell the Orbi Satellites. So, I was relegated to this. My Orbi app on my phone doesn't see this satellite, but it's working as advertised, which is what I really care about. I gave it 4 stars because it sometimes the modem needs to be reset if your power goes out or you unplug it. It's a recommend overall.

The go-to extender
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works great at extending out our network to guest house, it was easy to set up and has kept connection since we set it up. It provides an additional 'EXT' network that is great and has improved our coverage area.

I like this extender
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this extender and it was easy to install as long as you follow the directions. It has helped boost our WIFI in areas that are located far away from our router. I took off one star because I think the price should be a little lower and more competitive with other similar models.

Helped boost my WiFi
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Living in an area with a weak Wi-Fi service, and in a two-story home, getting a clear signal at the opposite end of the house is not good. By installing this range extender I am able to have a better quality signal. Plus, it was a breeze to install and understand. I had it going within 10 minutes, and I am a senior citizen with not the greatest technology knowledge. So far I have been very happy with this product.

Network extender that works
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have Uverse wireless and the signal is weak. It’s so weak my printer in the next room will not connect to the network. I put the Netgear extender in the center of the house and everything upstairs, basement, main floor and garage connects. Instructions are easy but you do need to follow auto connect did not work on all devices.

Outstanding Power
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, like James Thurber's aunt, I believe if you unplug a lamp from a wall socket, electricity fills the room to the level of the socket. That being said, I shop at Best Buy for anything electric and use the Geek Squad for my computer when my 4 year old granddaughter, who understands computers, is away at law school. This product is a life saver. We live in the country and our phone system powers our computer. We got a burglar alarm which was installed in the other side of the house. It needed a stronger signal. This served the purpose. It was easy to program, well, for a 4 year old, and now we have phone, computer and alarm working. I wonder about my 30 year old pager?

Great coverage, strong connection
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Directions were simple and easy to follow. I'm not tech savvy but I able to follow the directions and the troubleshooting hints as well. We have a 7,000 sq ft home so getting internet coverage is a little difficult especially with 6 kids using laptops for schools not to mention cell phones and everything else that uses the internet. The Netgear extender was needed upstairs to extend service. The kids have no complaints with their internet connection now wether they are using it for laptops for school or their gaming systems. I'm glad I made the purchase!

Simple but effective
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out nighthawk router is in the basement (I know, poor planning, I don't have time to rewire the whole house- so in the basement ceiling it stays). It's signal however does ALMOST reach every corner of the house. THIS simple little gadget fills in the dead spots. You might have to play outlet roulette to find the optimum location, but as a suggestion, go 1 floor above the router and start with an outlet near the center of the house. It can be set up as a stand alone repeater, or as a wireless access point. Very cool.

Extended Wireless
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple setup. easy to use. Limited usefulness depending on the network. This device extends the existing signal. However it is not designed to help if you have too many connections in your wireless network. In order to help with that, you need an AP. This works as advertised, but I stopped using it because I found it needed to be reset several times. This may have been due to other factors in my network. It does work as an extender.

Works as Advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The AC2200 successfully extended my WiFi network to the far corners of my house. It was easy to setup as advertised. I followed the simple directions and I was set. Two cautions: 1) As you may know, your extended network has a different SSID than your original WiFi network. So if for example you are using your laptop at different points in your house, you'll have to change networks to make use of your new extended WiFi. Not a big deal, but it's the way extenders work. 2) Even though my network was extended with a rock solid connection, when connected to my extended network, I did not enjoy the same speed as when connected to my original network. This is explained in the Netgear setup and is true.

Pricey but worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a device to extend Wifi in order to stream Ultra HD videos. Even though my Netgear router worked most of the time for this purpose -- occasionally the speed would slow to unacceptable levels. The extender was easy to install and has stabilized our video streaming for uninterrupted viewing.

Netgear Has Done It AGain
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the NETGEAR Nighthawk X4 AC2200 extended to cover the back side of my home. It is dual banded and repeats my Netgear primary unit perfectly. Range is great and matching the unit up is easy. The instructions are clear and concise. The LED indicators show when the unit is paired and working properly or if a problem exists. If something does happen, such as a power outage, the Extender re-pairs back up and you are good to go. If you are looking for a WiFi Extender or Repeater, I highly recommend this unit to you.

Great network extender
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device continued the Nighthawk reputation! It was extremely easy to install and setup! I was concerned initially with just a small set of instructions! But that was all that was needed! Great product and works great! Our upstairs speeds are flying!

The bomb.com
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not only did it extend my wifi to the dead spots of a two story home, it also works as a hardwire Ethernet port. Xbox is in a separate room than the gateway router, and a 50ft Ethernet cable running throw the house just looks tacky. Plugged this bad boy in the living room right next to my Xbox, plugged in a small Ethernet cable to the bottom of this device and to the Xbox and bam. Speeds increased from mid 50mbps to 280-450 mbps.

Definite Help
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Prior to purchase of this extender, I had a hard time getting a signal for my one DirecTV receiver. After installing this, took a few minutes online to setup, I have had little issue with the signal. One review on here stated how to go to a website, setup an account, and get latest software. This is very important step.

Easy to set up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The set up was pretty straightforward and easy. Still not convinced how good it is - seems to work pretty good, We get full bars on our service now but the service itself still leaves a little to be desired but that's a network thing. But that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars - I'm not 100% how good it is.
