My old router wasn't strong enough to support all the new devices and have enough range to cover all parts of my home. This is a great router that does both. It was a simple set up and ready to go on for all my devices.

Very easy to set up. It has greatly improved the strength and consistency of wireless signal in all areas of our 2700 square foot home. Multiple antennas enable signal to be directed to dead zone areas.

While I personally don't use all the feature this device uses I'm satisfied with the options it provides that I need daily. It solved an issue when I was having devices drop out with no explanation and speeds have improved over my older router due to this one being designed for them. The interface is adequate and firmware checks and updates are easy through the interface as well. I feel as though I'm getting the performance I paid for and the technology to future proof my network for many years without the need for another router purchase.

Special note: I didn't keep this router. I went with a Home Mesh Network (the Netgear Orbi to be exact), but only because I needed more range. That being said I loved this router. It was very easy to set up. I did have to call Netgear but they were quick to help, knew what they were doing, and got me up and running. I tried a router set with the plug in range extender and it was garbage. This router was more efficient for about the same price. Wifi speeds were fast and consistent. I can see why people love this router. I just happened to need more range.

Long range, strong signal I would recommend this product to anyone spend the extra money and get a great product

The jury is still out on this. I have had problems with dropped connections, but cannot tell if it is the router's fault or my providers as they have been doing work on their tower. Easy setup. Detachable antennas....so easy to upgrade to a higher DPI. With the stock antennas I got really good range....probably around a 200 ft radius. With higher gain antennas even farther. I like the fact you can shut the flashing lights off unlike the original Nighthawk. I got this on sale for 229.00

We had very low WIFI coverage in parts of our 2 story house. Initially, we bought 2 wireless-N-mini router/repeater. It provided WIFI in 2 problem areas in our house, but WIFI coverage in the rest of the house was reduced. We found out that the router/repeater works like a splitter. Even when no one was accessing the router/repeater, it cut coverage to other areas. So, we bought the NETGEAR - Nighthawk X4S Wireless-AC Dual-Band Wi-Fi Router and now have solid coverage (including 5G) throughout the house. Installation is more complex, but worth it.

Didn't keep it long. But it works very well multiple phones in the home along with two smart tv's two laptops Xbox One two fire sticks and blu-ray players.... ended up going with a single orbi in the home

We were having connectivity issues with our old router, couldn't connect with Netflix. Now we can and it is much faster and has a greater range.

I have Comcast and the router they gave me would repeatedly loose connection at random moments. I went through 3 different routers from them trying to fix the problem. Ever since I got the Nighthawk X4S, my internet hasn't dropped once.

Had always had Linksys router until I purchased Netgear. Unbelievable range & speed. Netgear support was excellent assisting me with installation.

Easy to setup. Let's you use your old router name and password so you don't have to relearn all your devices Great range everywhere on property.

Bought this as a suggestion from our Spectrum company installer! We were renting the one from the company for $10 extra a month but the coverage was sketchy and spotty. It has changed the game for our wifi needs definitely recommend this for homes that need better coverage for their wireless items! Netflix and Hulu stream seamlessly now from our smart TV's. This will pay for itself in a few short months! :) everyone is happy!

Fast Router. Strong Signal thru out my home.. Easy setup. E-Sata port for a external hard drive, so I didn't have to buy a new HD enclosure.

Fairly easy to install and setup. Need some patience to let it complete the setup. It took longer than the time estimated. Works great. I still have a lot to discover about the capabilities

Bought this to replace an old Netgear router. Works really well with a wider range and able to stream on multiple devices.

It does what it says it does. Upgraded my old router for this one, got twice the range and speeds were trippled over wireless connections.

I got this to replace my old netgear router, which after many years, stopped working. This router is really fast and has good range.

I had the original nighthawk unit for the last several years. In our new house I had several dead spots. This unit solved those dead spots. We have 2 phones, 2 direct TV DVR units, 2 laptops, a PS4 and a tablet in our house. When the kids come over that number of units probably doubles. As a gamer, COD, Destiny, I haven't had some of the lag issues I have had before. Typically hard wired, last weekend we moved the PS4 to another TV using the wireless adapter and noticed no issues with lag. Overall very happy with the unit.
