Didn't really know what I was looking for but new I needed an upgrade from my modem and router all in one. I now have two lines of Internet and reach at least 50 yards away from my house with great signal strength

I have my home security cameras connected to this router, two smart TV's streaming Netflix, plus my three boys surfing online and two Nest thermostats so far, all I can say is wow. Works great, no problems at all.

I consider this being a good alternative to the AC5300 model. This is newer, and while it is not an AC5300 this is actually faster than it. Also, you can pick this one up for 300 dollars less a lot of the time.

We bought this router for the all-in-one computer with intentions of purchasing a new tv in the near future. As far as distance goes, it covers the house and surrounding area. So far it's working well.

BY FAR THE BEST ROUTER I EVER PURCHASED AND OVER THE YEAR I HAD AT LEAST FOUR. THIS PROVIDES GREAT RECEPTION THROUGH OUT A 4000 SQUARE FOOT HOUSE INCLUDING BASEMENT NO MATTER HOW MANY ITEMS ARE BEING USED.

Totally worth the price as it speeds up everything but I will forewarn you that if you buy it when you have more than just a weak/outdated router currently, this will help but if you have too many spliced wires/plugs it will not be as helpful as you expect/hope but will still improve.

Great product. Very user friendly. Was having problems getting the proper upload/download speeds on my linksys router so I bought this and it brought be to where I should be. Very happy with this product.

Someone suggested the Nighthawk router because my son is a gamer and we only stream things to watch online. We are extremely happy with it...even my son who has hated every router we have ever bought.

The nighthawk x4s router is a great router for those people with a poor internet connection. It easily boosted my speeds anywhere from 5-15 Mbps, which for those of you with slower speeds, is a big upgrade.

I read a lot of reviews on this router, this router Phils my 2500 square-foot house with four levels without a hick up in Mac speeds I recommend this router for anybody with a large home and wants fast speeds

I don’t ask for much from my router. I only require it to keep up with constant streaming, smart phones, and online MMORPG’s... all at the same time, with no noticeable lag. This one keeps up!

I use this with my nest thermostats and protects as well as at least 12 other wifi devices and it works like a charm noticed significant increase in speeds while multiple devices are running great product

Vast improvement over our last router that struggled to keep it Sonos system in play

The signal strength throughout the house is improved and the netgear allows multiple devices to access wireless services simultaneously. The room for improvement relates to the occasionally sluggish signal to the 4K - usually streams perfectly, but every once in a while ...

I was in the market for a new WiFi router and wanted something using the latest 802.11ac standards. I am using this to replace the router provided by my CenturyLink Fiber internet service. The WiFi is perfect and I haven't had issues with connection or speed with any of the devices in my house. The web interface also very easy to use and gives you access to a lot of advanced features (a few of which I needed in order to make my router work properly with CenturyLink's Prism TV service). The thing itself is a bit of a beast, so make sure you have a good spot for it.

Where I'm at, we have Spectum, previously BrightHouse network, and with a Linksys router I had nothing but troubles, loss of connection, on this network. It always appeared as DNS error because internet addresses weren't being resolved. Their DNS server isn't speedy and has issues that I can tell, but they won't admit to it. Fortunately, the Netgear router (and my Netgear modem) manages that delay sufficiently that I have no issues anymore unlike the competition model that also had other issues with Wifi connectivity and stability. I have none anymore. I also bought a Netgear extender and it's working great. I am very pleased with my NETGEAR - Nighthawk X4S and would highly recommend it

The router is easy to set up and has been stable with no problem handling my Comcast 200/10 service. So far it hasn't had any problems or dropped connection. Would recommend for a normal home.

I purchased this router on the advice of the salesman at best buy. He was super imformative about home routers and sold me the exact product I needed. No more dead spots anywhere in the house.

It's great, especially compared to the 'all in one, modem & router' I used while with Century Link. It reaches out to my garage and that is a real plus.

the unit is very easy to install I have six units linked to it it's is more than adequate.in addition to that it runs a play station gamer.This unit meet all my needs with no issue .highly recommend
