Researching various brands and reading reviews was work but not unrewarding. This unit knocked the socks of my previous and still working Wi-Fi Router. I had a need for speed and it has been met! 4K is as easy to use as it is to type.

If you're reading this review, you essentially already know what to expect from this top-of-the-line product. My ONLY qualm with this product is that I wish they had placed the USB connector for my external hard drive on the back of the router, instead of plugging it into the side. Purely an aesthetics-issue, though, and not worth removing a star from it's 5-star rating.

I am absolutely amazed at this router that I purchased, it does way more than expected and I do not have a single dead spot in my home or in my yard. I would highly recommend this anybody looking for a Wi-Fi router. Two thumbs up !!!!

easy install havent had a problem since installation date; reliable so far

I was paying for 50+ Mbps download for years and wasn't getting anywhere near 20 Mbps becaus my router was old. After setting this up I'm at 60+ Mbps. It's a little expensive but now I can't blame my router.

Bought this for the greater signal strength and faster speeds. It has not disappointed me at all. Super fast and has great range. Super easy to set up and manage. Would love the ability to have remote access, would be a beneficial feature.

I purchased a Nighthawk X8 because my older and different router failed while under Geek Squad warranry. I upgraded to the X8 and have been very pleased with the result - better coverage, better controls, and better performance!

Awesome tech equipment. It's increased my Internet speed tremendously.

I needed a new router but needed high speed potential and longer range. This gave me the range that I could even be out of my house and still have a great signal. The speed boost has been great near doubled the speed I had before!

I have always used Netgear products in the past, so it was an easy choice when comparing all of the manufacturer's offerings. This router is very powerful, and packs a ton of features that will come in handy. I particularly like the active antennas, not a dead spot in or around the entire house now! The 6 LAN ports is also a first for routers, and it's about time.

Fast router, good range. It also has more ports than my prior router.

I bought this on good sale, but it was still very expensive. It works pretty well but I need to reboot it once in a while due to slow or no response from various web sites. Had to return 1st one due to very loose power connector at unit - seemed to be possible cause of intermittent problems? New one is still very loose - unacceptable when you consider the cost.
