    Don't buy it now! It's still a major, major work in progress. The people at Best Buy don't know how badly this item is configured. It's not their fault, they are reiterating what they are told via web training. It drops multiple times per day, is highly unstable and buffers even when hardwired to a device like a Roku. I solely stream at my house and this product has been a major disappointment especially at the $350 price tag.

    Installation was shockingly difficult. When the unit was up and running, I saw zero appreciable gain in performance compared to other routers. It certainly isn't better (nor worse) that an Airport.

    So disappointed. The sales clerk highly recommended this router but it has not lived up to the hype. I had to speak to Netgear tech support twice to even get the router to connect with my modem (after at least two conversations with Charter Spectrum). I purchased this router because it was supposed to cover my whole house, not drop off when streaming and make multiple connections easier. None of that has happened. I regret that I spent so much money on what should have been an improvement to my home network.

    sales person gave wrong info stating that it will cover a house of 4000 sq feet area. unfortunately it does not cover beyond 20 feet

    Thought it would be an easy process to hook up. I couldn't get it to connect to the internet. Had to go through a long process to register so I could call Netgear customer service. Spent about 30 minutes with them trying various things including making some advanced setting changes with no luck. Returned to Best Buy.

    Unfortunately I have bought about 3 of these, all different brands, and none of them have ever made a significant impact. I kept this thing, but more out of lazy optimism than anything else. I would not suggest buying this.

    Hate this product! I've connected it many, many times and the darn thing still has no internet access. I've tried all the "suggestions" to try to get this to work to no avail.

    5 months later and it won't stay connected

    Purchased in April of 2017 and today it's being packed up and returned to NETGEAR for a replacement and then sold. It worked decent when I initially set it up and was definitely an upgrade to our last router however about 3 weeks ago it would constantly lose signal to where I would have to power cycle multiple times throughout the day just to try and stay connected and eventually it just became too unreliable. After confirming that my modem was good to go and taking all of the troubleshooting steps I can confirm there is definitely a software glitch with my ORBI. I honestly expected more than 5 months use out of $200 plus router.

    It worked great for about 9 months to 12 months then it started disconnecting daily. Sometimes a simple reconnect via app but increasingly having to disconnect Orbi and modem. This was happening EVERY day for 6 weeks. Admittedly we'd just use the modem (Frontier FIOS, which is great) at times because of the time involved but it was difficult sometimes impossible because of the distance her work computers were from the Frontier modem and Orbi router. We had to Orbi satellites also. When I called to get some help from Netgear (after the free 90 day warranty/help period). They gave me an online case # and said to call within 24 hours. I called immediately and got hung up on twice. They act like they're going to look at your case number then I hang up. It seems after the 90 day window they know their product is a pile of junk and don't want to be confronted with it. I would never by an Orbi again and would most likely not buy any of their products. They don't work and the company offers no help or support. They just hide.

    It was good for about a year then after the last firmware update, it locks up a lot and looses internet connection randomly throughout the day.

    At first set this up great. Then tried to change name and password to my own. Then could not get on wifi tried to call support at netgear,wanted to charge me 109.00 to fix. When I told them I had just bought this and refused to pay they hung up. Called back, told me I had wrong number. Took it back to the store for full refund
