Needed something to extend the wifi service to the other side of the house. This works well. Now everyone in the house is happy that they can surf when they want to surf.

it works just like they said it would. we were lucky because our current router did have the correct connection; otherwise we'd have had to return the extender unused.

I purchased this extender to supplement my wireless router in my home network. My home is a tri-level and the primary router is upstairs. The worst place for reception was in the basement and the opposite end of the house. Another factor in my decision to purchase was this device has an Ethernet switch in it so I was able to hook up my wired only blueray player. Installation was very simple (I read the directions) and took maybe 10 minutes total. The device works well and suits my needs.

I like it only used it for 2 day then left back home but extended the signal helped where I was able to FaceTime in parts of the house that did have signal before.

we actually didnt know about this product adn living in a large home we need it an extension to wi fi ... glad we heard about it and got it :) we are happy with it

Product works great and really pushes signal to the back of my apartment. I live in an old building with heavy walls and metal doors. The extender does a great job of pushing the signal to the rooms in back. Had some early install issues (that turned out to be easily solvable) on iPhone and iPad. Called Customer Service and had challenges understanding the agent. Escalated to manager who was great. Changed name of home network and solved the problem. Very happy now. Exactly what I needed.

This router is fast and performs great. Easy to setup and quick connection with existing router with a push of a button!

My ISP is AT&T. The modem is a Uverse combining home phone, TV, and internet. The modem was located in the garage by the AT&T tech. I use my laptop on the dinning room table. The max signal strength I could get was 12 Mbps with lots of drops, and disconnects. Since installing this range extender, my signal strength is now 54 Mbps with almost no drops or disconnects. I am very happy with it

This extender literally let me connect my Xbox to my router, and it's been working perfectly fine now. I connected my Xbox to the extender via an Ethernet, and I chose direct connect on my Xbox.

Some cheaper extenders are usually pieces of garbage, but this one somehow works better than the actual router (which couldn't actually be possible).

It was easy to install and set up. I wish it had slightly better range, but that might be a selfish request just because of the unique shape of my house.

After originally setting up the extender and getting all the security issues set, my wireless router failed and had to be replaced. When I tried to reconnect using the new router, it would not connect with the Extender. After almost an hour talking to the support person, I finally gave up and returned it to the store. The support person kept leaving the phone to talk to someone to get advice I presume. I kept getting dead air on the phone until I told him what I thought of the poor service. Then he seemed to listen and answer my questions. The issue was never resolved.

Installation was easier than I expected. Signal boost worked as expected. All things Internet (TV, phones, tablets) worked a LOT better from the bedroom. Total and complete recommendation.

My husband bought a Wi-Fi blu-ray player for me as a gift. Problem was...we could not get our upstairs router signal to reach the TV in the living room downstairs. I purchased the extender and it fixed the problem, now we can use laptops, cell phones, and our blu-ray downstairs and even stream NetFlix movies!

The Netgear Universal Wi-Fi Extender greatly improved my wi-fi signal in and around my house. Now I can use wi-fi in every room in the house which doubled the coverage I had prior.

We have a Smart TV that was a fair distance from our current wifi router, and was not picking up our home wifi. I hemmed and hawed over this product, not knowing if it would help the signal strength. I shouldn't have worried. The extender did its thing, once plugged in and set up in about 5 minutes, the TV has not had any issues pulling in our wifi and Netflix streaming is smooth. I have not had any issues with this product since its I set it up a month ago, and it also has not negatively affected any of our other wireless products.

Extended my wifi reach. My speeds didn't slow down. I recommend this product if you have a large home.

I was looking to replace an old wireless extender that went brick. You know, one of the ones you need to connect to by wire, configure and the deploy. so when you need to work with it and it doesn't respond even after resetting it becomes.... A brick! I purchased this Netgear device hopeful that the setup was going to be a little more friendly and to my amazement, this practically sets itself up, no problem. It is working quite well extending my network and making my HDTV return to the network once again. Very positive purchase!
