Purchased to extend range to my detached garage, about 60' from my house. I get a strong signal throughout garage, and was so simple to set up that anyone can do it.

The NETGEAR Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender met expectations, with respect to enabling the function of a Smart TV, and extended my range to include the man-cave basement. Its Ethernet port also gave me a solid hookup option.

The product works very well and extends my wifi beyond the normal range. The only issue I have is that it is actually so strong my devices all tend to default to this rather than some going to the router itself and it bogs down the bandwidth of the extender. Solution was to make the kids devices use this only since the intent was to extend to their rooms and then I have bandwidth on other devices it's also easy to take away wifi access for kids by simply unplugging the extender. :)

Bought this wi-fi extender to expand the range of our wi-fi to other side of the house. We could not get a strong signal in three rooms, even after moving the main wi-fi box to the middle of the house. This small gadget worked well. Just don't put any picture frames or large objects in front of it (I did to camouflage) because it cuts the signal. The price and size was right for us.

Does the job perfectly of allowing me to connect an older wired device to my wireless network as well as extend the WiFi network to another corner of the house that had always been problematic.

It didn't take more than 10 minutes to install and the range is far better than we anticipated! No problems at all with the connection aspect of it. If your looking for something small and inexpensive this is it.

I got this range extender to cover my home office that is on the other side of my house and one floor down from the router. The set up was very easy and now I have full strength in my office.

The setup was very easy. I was surprised how easy it was. The signal strength is about twice as good as my Motorola NVG510 router! Great deal for the price!

I researched this product online and took a chance based upon the positive reviews. I bought it to improve our wifi coverage upstairs in our home, since our router is on the 1st floor but my son's game room is on the 2nd floor. It was pretty much a plug and play deal. Very easy setup out of the box, and works great. We now get a strong signal throughout the house on all devices.

The Netgear Universal Wi-Fi Extender easily connected to existing Netgear Router (Nighthawk R6700). Works well, but remember this is not a dual-band unit. It only connects at 2.4GHz.

I was looking to extend the WiFi coverage in my house because the router was located in a bad spot. I purchased this item to solve that problem. It worked perfectly!
After a few minutes of setting the device up, I was looking for the optimal location to place it. The instructions were clear and concise. Everything worked as expected right out of the box.
It has amazing distance and not much loss of performance.

The NETGEAR - Universal Wi-Fi Range Extender with Ethernet port was exactly what we needed to curb our data usage with our phones and iPad while at home. We have an inexpensive ZyXel router with 4 Ethernet ports for our 4 computers, and it is also WiFi-enabled for mobile devices. But because the router is in a back room, the WiFi signal was not able to reach much of the other end of the house. So, data was being used to the point where on several occasions I had to call my provider and buy an extra GB just so we don't exceed our limit for the given month and pay even more. When we plugged in the extender in a room that was getting a good signal from the router, we then were receiving a really good WiFi signal in all other parts of the house (2000sq ft. single story). The setup was extremely simple, too. I have not seen the data usage for this current cycle, but I know we will have used way less that we have been for previous months. I keep checking to see if everyone is on WiFi, and yes they are. Depending on how much less we've used, we will change our data plan to ask for less data, which will save money. I'm sure this extender will be the gift that keeps on giving. Very happy with this purchase!
