This router was generally easy to set up, but there was a problem, but after a few phone calls it was fixed, and it works perfectly.

I am using the router without incident. Works great . The price is very reasonable. Wish the supporting documentation was better. Tech support EXCELLENT. I am no stranger to computers but without the 24/7 tech support this router would still be in the box.

my daughter has a laptop and needed wireless to go on the internet.hooked this up to the desktop and has wireless thruogh-out the apt.had some trouble with installation but tech help walked me through the process step by step over the phone til all was well.

When you buy a router, hub or modem, you don't want anyone to know why it works, just that it does work reliably all the time. This router does just that. It was easy to set up, I didn't even need the manual to find the webpage for it.

Nice little router that is priced right. Mine seems to require resetting (i.e., unplug and plug back in) every day or so, but otherwise, it's flawless. I need to check my settings to see if the router is setup correctly given my DSL connection.

This router was a piece of cake to hook up and works perfectly.

Had a linksys wrt54g and it would not for the life of me no matter what I did work with the modem I recieved from COX. This one just plugged in, installed the drivers and it connected no problem.

Inexpensive and good! Installation very easy - even for a non-techie. Works just fine.

Purchased this unit to replace a previous Netgear unit that finally wore out after several years of intense usage. This one practically installed itself. Setting up an ultra-secure wireless network was trivial. Tested access and performance from all parts of our home and coverage and speed is terrific. Proof of the quality was at a recent fantasy baseball draft where several folks pounded on it from the laptops (myself included) with nary a dropped connection or lost draft move...

I purchased this so I could have access on my laptop. It was easy to install and even easier to set up on my laptop. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

my linksys router died, and I needed to update. The price was right, setup easy, and it has been working great for about a month. Would buy this one again.

When i first bought this router for my macbook pro i have to installed it but when i had to do it manually it took me like 20 or 30 mins to set it up since i own a mac but after it took me that long it worked fine..Any one who owns a macbook or a iMac of any year would work fine as long as you set it up manually..and even if it takes long at the end it would be worth it if you buy this router and it also depends which internet service you have because i have Time Warner and it works 100% so i recommend buying this product even if you own a mac laptop or a pc..great product ;}

Getting this set up for use was a slight challenge. I ended up asking for assistance. This may not be because of the product - just me. I'm a first time user. Love how it works for me. And I have no problems with it now.

I have had 3 of an earlier revision of the router, and two have died within 2 to 5 years of purchase. Not too miffed since they are very inexpensive compared to alternative units.

Its a blazing fast router! When one of my laptops connected to it, it was like a fast direct connection. 54 mbps seemed like 100. I created a WEP key, then I found out WSP is better. I share files, printers and its really good at downloading too! It also comes with McAfee you go on their website give them your serial number then they give you a download. Which will be fast on your new router! And your main computer will still get 100 mbps. Unlike some that only give you 10. I am proud of this laptop and threw out my 4 story house we always get 5 bars. And outside? 4 bars!

I purchased this product so my daughter can use her laptop anywhere in the house. After a little trouble getting it to run, this product has performed with no other problems whatsoever. We are well pleased with this product.

I set it up manually, so not sure how well the instalation cd worked. Easy to use web interface. Only thing about it I don't like is the color. I don't like white, but it works well and that is all that matters.

Although the price of this wireless router sucks you in, the initial setup was a nightmare for me. There are no written instructions with this product. It comes with an installation setup CD, which is usually all I need. However, the setup process is long, drawn out, confusing, and definitely not simple. It simply tells you to connect the router, with not instructions as to where or how or which cord to use, etc... I am usually a whiz with these things, and think that some more detailed instructions would be fitting. But for the price, I will say that after I finally got it setup.... it was smooth sailing.

I thought I had hit the jackpot when I bought this Netgear WGR614. The price was right, the set up was easy and I was able to surf the net with my desktop conntected directly and two laptops all over the house very quickly. The problem came when a few months later I noticed that when I came home there would be no connection. I would look at the Netgear and notice that all lights we lit even though only two things were plugged into it (the DSL modem and a printer). I assumed that power surges were causing the problem. I bought a battery backup surge protector and kept noticing the same problem. You have to unplug the Netgear to get it to reboot. Calls and emails to tech support were met with vague response. I was told to download a firmware that would fix the problem. That made it worse! Before I was experiencing freeze-ups once per day. Now the modem only lasts a few hours at best before it has to be unplugged a reset. Sometimes the reset only lasts minutes! Maybe I just got a lemon and other people got a good machine, but I'm tired of running back and forth to the Netgear router to reboot it! It's getting replaced!
