Easy Setup and easy use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just a good router. It was easy to set up. I especially love the on off button for wireless.

No worries!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great no problem. The only problem in set up was that I could not connect to the internet. Worked fine without the router but could not connect with it. Talked to customer support (The Philippines) they told me to check if my DSL modem was in bridge mode. So I called ATT and sure enough it wasn't! ATT walked me through setting the modem to bridge mode-very easy! Viola! I could now surf to my hearts content! :) Also turn off Auto reconnect so it won't drop out .It will stay connected -always on. Bought at Best Buy-good price!

Good for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It may have been my ISP, but I had to have my connection remotely reset at the router was unable to detect that the IP address was not static but dynamic. After that, the rest of the setup was a breeze and my connection has been wonderful. I was able to add my printer to the wireless without too much difficulty. For just one person who uses the internet primarily for research and email, this is the perfect router. I would suggest a router with greater capacity for gamers and people trying to view streaming video content.

Great router for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The instructions in the box are not helpful, but calling tech support was. They helped me set up the router in no time and I have not had to think about it since. It just does what it is supposed to do.

Flawless install
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just hooked this thing up and had my desktop, laptop, and wii all going on the network in minutes. As far as the windows 7 problem discussed by others, my laptop just found the network all on it's own. No CD install needed on laptop. Setting up the network from the CD on my desktop was a breeze. Step by step instuctions were so easy a caveman could do it! Just make sure you shut off your firewall while you install. Great signal from anywhere in the house and even closely outside. You should be very happy with this one.

Excellent router for home use.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought my first WGR614 in 2005 which performed flawlessy until an unfortunate power surge took it out of commission. I immediately replaced it with another WGR614 and could not be happier. Some of the greatest improvements over my older version are the easy to press reset buttons plus a real ON/OFF switch. The web browser user interface is still one of the most intuitive I've seen and very easy to configure.

good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.in some system you may have to delet the password on browser as the wroter uses the same password to log in and it can cause conflict . one password on the computer only. go to tools-internet ption-connection to delet password on browser . I have an att dsl system and it was causing conflict on my system and dsl would drop line every few hours . $75 an hour for support makes the $39 price of router cheap. .

NetGear 802.1 wireless router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well....the price was low! After one year of service (in my home), we began to have local connection only and have to unplug and reset the router to gain internet connection. We thought it was the broadband modem, and that was replaced, but now it is apparent that the router is dying. I'll try another brand, and not worry quite so much about getting a really low price.

Good Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Customer service easy to access, but once I registered the product, I continued forever to receive emails asking me to register it. I was confused as to whether it was ever truly registered or not.

Beyond Easy - Works with Comcast
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took five minutes to set up - really. So simple anyone could get it up and running. Best of all, it WILL work with Comcast.

Super simple setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for my sister for Christmas to connect her Wii and wireless laptop to her broadband connection and it was super simple. The ability to secure her network using WEP was also simple. The devices that connect in her home have excellent signal. All in all a great device.

Looks good but not without issues.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this to replace an original model Linksys. I really was drawn to the look of this unit since it sits on a bookcase in my living room, but was very disappointed with the setup. Although not at all difficult, it seemed like many of the steps were a waste of time and geared toward someone with absolutely no computer skills. The day to day performance seems ok...there are times when the signal gets weak for no apparent reason. I probably would not purchase this model again strictly because of the issues with the signal.

Good for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never used any other router, so I don't know how this one compares, but I just looked for the cheapest one I could find, and I am satisfied with it so far. Haven't had trouble setting it up even on different computers. It has 4 ethernet ports for wired connections, which I like for hooking up LAN games, etc. The only problem is that a couple times a week the internet signal isn't working for anywhere from 5 mins to a couple hours... but it always starts working again if I just wait long enough... and it is usually not a problem.

Great Wireless Router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super fast router. I thought it would just be average. I have comcast high speed internet and I'm not sure, but I think the wireless router has sped up my connection. I got through the installation fine and connected to the network, but local connection only. So I called NETGEAR tech support. Extremely polite and helpful people! Within another 15 minutes I was online and happy. Total time of setup was probably 30 minutes. I have windows vista and i'm using the router for a laptop.
