The fact that I have 3 of these the last 3 years should be warning enough I guess. I am on my 3rd in the last 2.5 years and now it's gone. IT will only work with an ethernet cable. Wireless is shot....again. They work great for a year or so then that's it. I love the item when it works. I am just tired of having to replace the units.

If you live in a home where you can put your wireless router in a line of sight mode you will probably be happy (IF YOU ARE PARTICULAR ABOUT INTERNET SPEED). If you live in an apartment or if you put your computer in a home office (or bedroom) and have the router in another room then you will have to buy twice the internet speed that you can expect to receive. I have 10mbps internet and get about 5 .. Not bad but I have to pay for 5 mbps I can't use unless i string an ethernet cable through my hallway and into my living room where the router is. There are better units, (many better units), but you have to pay for it. So for the price and if you're not one who is picky about getting the speed you pay for, have at it.

Very easy install and setup. There are four computers in the house and all connected effortlessly and fast. The wireless printer also was connected and all work great!

I've been using Netgear routers for over 8 years and never had any major issues....Great products....

came in just a few days, set up was very easy. worked great as soon as it was installed. Have had no problems with this product. price was very good. I checked ratings online before I bought this and they were excellent.

I've had this router for several years and have had no problems with it. When I lose my internet connection I have no problems with it resetting. I have only had to reset the router itself a couple of occassions in years.

Great product Though you need to try some placement to get the best coverage for the areas you want.

This works just fine. Seems like only problem is people who do not know how to set up a router. They all only work for two to three years. That is why I only buy inexpencive routers.They all do the same thing pretty much.

The NetGear router is Ok. But The first few days you need to break-it-out. It may seam like the router is not working, it is if your a gamer i prefer you get one that is for gaming. To break it out it may take 1 month.

This router came with a very simple set up instruction sheet with the exception of Windows 7. I had to manually install the router which took me a while to figure out but once I did, no problems what so ever.

I bought this on the suggestion of someone at the store, and when I get home to install it, I can't get my laptop to access it. Maybe it's a setting on my laptop, maybe the router, but I still haven't gotten it worked out yet.

I purchased this soley on the price to set up my wii and I ended up connecting everything! It's a great little routher that works perfectly. Set everything up in under 15 mins and I'm not technically savvy :-)

I love being wireless. After a call to the internet provider (they had to provide some #s) we were up and running wirelessly. Works great wherever we're at in the house. Haven't had any problems with it!

Yeah, this one showed great promise, but when I had to call tech support twice even before we had it for three months, that was enough. It has been highly inconsistent in allowing us to be online and then Netgear has opted to have two warranties: one for the software and one for the hardware. Upon calling the second time, they wanted to charge me to fix it, otherwise, I would have to do e-mail which is still causing me to wait around with a useless internet connection. Someday I will find a good router...

This router works but it is certainly not ideal. I try to keep my computer plugged into it via ethernet cord otherwise my connection gets very slow and makes it hard to watch videos. It was the right price though.

I have had no problems with this router.I have a magicjack plus and LG blu ray player connected by ethernet cable and connect wirelessly with my laptop and kindle fire HD.

The router works well. It was my experience with customer service (outsourced to a foreign country--poor phone connection and difficult accent to understand didn't help the situation) that drove me nuts. The support person would not listen to me and instead kept simply going to her script and telling me to do the same thing over and over. after an hour and a half, I finally figured the problem out myself without her help at all. Totally frustrating. Made me wish I bought the Linksys.

I was a little worried about setup because I do not no anything about computers. I put in the disc and in less than 5 minutes, I had my laptop connected wirelessly! So far, so good.
