Didn't even last 6 months! 3 months after purchase, it quit working. Called Netgears tech support and they said it was out of warranty.. SO I WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO GET IT FIXED!!! What a JOKE! I got it working (sorta) by myself and with my phone companies help, but I was rebooting the router atleast 2-3 times a week! It finally died the other day and I will NEVER purchase netgear again!

Not much to say other than after sitting in front of my computer for over an hour, and running through the entire setup 3 times, I still wasn't online and it acted like the setup CD froze while trying to configure everything. After that many attempts, enough was enough and back to the store it went. Replaced with a Linksys wireless router, no problems thus far, install was a breeze.

I owned this product and it never worked right from the start, after 3 months of my internet going in and out I called NetGear customer support and they wanted me to pay them $36 to help me. Do not buy NetGear products unless you don't mind spending money for customer support. Products are not very good and they do not stand by these inferior products. Buy Linksys, much better.

most people purchase wireless routers because their PC is located in a different area of the house than where the router is located. In my case, the router is in the basement where the cable enters the house. my PC is on the second floor in my office. It is physically impossible to configure my new router since it needs to be physically connected to the modem and the PC!

The router works GREAT until one month after warranty expires. Called Netgear and was told I could get it fixed by calling Gearhead, and that the first fix was free. NOPE. Gearhead wanted 40 bucks to fix it. That's more than the unit cost. THIS IS NOT A GOOD PRODUCT DO NOT BUY IT.

i bought this awhile ago. when igo on my phone it cuts out the internet conection on my sons ps3. iset it up by using the disc setup wizard ,so it is installed right. if anyone knows what this might be i would really apreciate it.

I spent 2 hours trying the installation over and over. It never read my Time Warner Modem, and destroyed my online access. I spent over an hour resetting my IP address, with Time Warner Customer service. I'm glad Time Warner is great, because the folks at Netgear are useless. This router was a complete waste of 4 hours of my time, and I am very computer savvy.

I thought this was a great deal but it won't recognize my US Robotics USB wireless no matter what I do. When it comes up it asks for IP info from my ISP despite the fact that it's DHCP. Sometimes it works well with the wired PC, sometimes not. I had an old off brand router that worked flawlessly for years after a 2 minute setup. Netgear was a huge disappointment.

First off this router is so complicated to set up. Secondly the network is soooooo slow. Third is ; i live in a 3 bed room appartment. i take my laptop into to rooms away, about 25 or 30 feet away and i get no or very poor connection!!! please ppl spend your money else were

I purchased one of these a little less than two years ago. It was the v7 hardware, I say was because today it stopped working, it is no longer powering up. I called Netgear support and they did not care, so I suggest if you care if the device lasts longer than a year, you do not purchase from them.

If you have no trouble setting up routers, this would be a good buy

This is a very bad router it changed my IP address and would not connect to my computer when setting it up throw ethernet!!! DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!!! I returned it and got Apples Airport Express and it worked great after having to spend 2 hours fixing what Netgears mess made!!!

playing online using this router will not not give you the right speed, you be lagging. its because my router is upstair and my ps3 is down stair. not good enough speed signal, only bought it because its cheap thats all. other than that this router suck BIG time

Everytime I would try to hook this router up to my modem, it would kick my modem offline and I had to call my internet company to set up my connection again. I do not recommend this product to anyone - spend the extra $10 and purchase a different brand.

the signal vas ok sometimes the range not so good customer service or tech support sucks when i called it took forever and i needed to pay for the service i was soo mad....

This router is impossible to set up. I have spent 4 hours trying to figure out the gateway instuctions. The manual is zero help. This isn't the first time I have set up a router. Save your money and go with another brand.

It works okay with G network cards. New cards B/G/N card don't work well or at all with this router. I switched to a N router and my problems were over. Buy this one and you'll need a new one soon. Avoid at all cost.

Got it home and set it up and the automatic configuration failed. After an hour on the phone with tech support they gave up and said to return it. Went back and got a Linksys for $10 more and it works great.

This router would go down and come back frequently. Now it is completely dead. Not sure yet if it is the power supply or the router itself. I don't have a spare power supply to find out.

Didn't work well with my computers. Was taking forever to load web pages. Tried to run with windows 7 laptop and XP desktop computer. Returned for a similiar Belkin unit. Worked fine.
