    Couldn't be easier!!!!

I just bought this about an hour ago, took it home and went through the set up process (a breeze) and everything is connected. -Comcast cable internet - Main computer (Dell) connected through ethernet, MacBook connected wirelessly along with iPhone and Wii. All are working as they should, no problems, and I still can't get over how simple it was to set up. I'm not sure how fast it is as compared to other models but it fits for what I need it to do, a simple home wireless connection.

    Painless Installation

I was very pleased with the ease of installation. I'm not super technical savy and was worried by some of the information I had seen on-line regarding installation problems. No Sweat

    Great Once Up

I tried this device on two separate occasions, and the installation software didn't work with my FiOS or Time Warner Cable modems (it said on both occasions that I must have a fixed IP address, when in fact both setups used DHCP). I just brute-forced it by connecting into the router and it was fine. Once setup, it's been fantastic. Note, the first time I had the problem, I called (offshore) support, and man, that was a nightmare. "Please unplug the router...". Thanks, I tried that 5 times before calling you.

very easy setup of router; no problems connecting to cable modem (charter) or pulling an IP from their DHCP server. amazingly, its been up a week and has the same IP from charter.

Works great for what I need

Purchased this product around Oct 09, and have been using it often since. Has been perfect for my apartment, and has a strong signal through walls and across all rooms. I don't see the need to get anything more expensive. I have not tried playing PC games (Windows 7 user) but that is the only thing I wonder about while playing anything online with intense graphics.... could need a different model, but again this may do the trick as it seems pretty reliable and strong.

I Finally was able to use wireless connection with this one after desperately trying 2 other well know brands but they all was bad in term of causing frequent disconnection and using live internet streaming as TV. This one was amazingA+++ as if I am using wired connection.

This was the first of three wireless routers i purchased and it actually worked really well for the first week..When i first installed it, i had 85-90% signal to my ps3 which is about 50 feet away between 2 walls, but after that it started dropping connections where i had to restart it every day and i started lagging really bad in game.

I have no complaints about this product. I have a small apartment, and it was perfect for what I needed. I watch movies, surf the net with no interruptions. I love it. I would definitely recomment it.

This is a great router for the price. I've got an old desktop, 2 laptops and a xbox 360 all networked through this router, I haven't noticed any lag in internet service like you do with most inespensive routers. The easy step by step intructions were very easy to follow. I am very happy with this purchase.

    Antenna not removable

Classic Netgear interface and simple setup you can depend on with just about all home quality netgear equipment. So if familiarity is a must, this lives up to that expectation. My biggest complaint is the Antenna is not removable. It also has a low quality installation to it and I cannot get it to stay in anyone position...kind of floppy like. Also the speed performance on wireless seems poor compaired to my replaced US Robotics router. Signal seems strong, but watching video over it is not smooth.

    Call for install

I am not necessarily a computer genuis, so understanding things like IP adresses and LAN connections is a little intimidating. I tried to set this up using the CD provided, had already read this forum and knew to call Tech. support if i got caught up, which was the best decision I could have made. Agent "Paul" walked me through the process and got me set up in no time. I only need the router to get internet in my room which is right above the computer room anyway, so as far as range is concerned i can not say for sure, but i can say that the ten or so feet the connection does travel gives me full bars and expedient internet.

I bought this based on reviews I had read, (I usually buy Linskys), and it was on sale. Not being very tech savvy at all it is usually a big pain in the butt trying to get things like this set up. We plugged it in and turned the desktop on first which is where its hooked up-all good. Next my husband said to try the laptop and it was on! I could not believe it. We didn't even download the software. It's been a month and I have not had any problems.

I bought this unit to use in my house so me and my dad could use our laptops wirelessly. I had a really hard time getting it set up, but I am not the smartest person when it comes to computers. My brother however is, and he had it set up in no time. So I dont think it was the unit itself that was being hard to deal with. Other then that I have not had the first bit of trouble with this unit. I have had it installed for over a month so far and have not had to restart it yet. Amazing buy for being under $40 dollars. I would reconmend it to anyone that is looking for a good cheap router.

Bought this router over a year ago. It was cheap and fairly easy to set up, even for someone like me that is intimidated by electronics. Been working great ever since.

We recently purchased this basic netgear router because linksys has terrible customer service. It has done well so far and would insist anyone buying it over a linksys router.

I got this router as part of a promotional package deal. I didn't need it. Was going to give it away, but decided to "play" with it and see if I could find some use for it. Well, I did find a use. I converted it from a router to an access point/range extender. Now...that was fun! If you are looking for an inexpensive router for your home, this would do just fine.

    No Big Problems With It

For the price this router is a good buy. I have not had any big problems with it. The only minor issues I have had is that the range seems a little low. Could be becouse of the 1 antenna. Also every once in awhile it just drops the internet connection. However for the price and for a small house with multiple computers I would recommend this. If you have a bigger house or are more into high tech devices look into the Wireless N series especially this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8548841&st=gaming+router&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1188561003287

I really like this product I have had it for over a month now and love the idea of being able to go from room to room with no wires. My only draw back is that when friends or family come over I am unable to hook them up when their computers have wireless, yet they can get on the internet if they plug in the ethernet cable.

Though I don't know much about wireless routers, I made a good choice with this one. It picks up a good signal and is pretty easy to install if you don't know anything about how to do so. The customer service that comes with the router is good and the 1-800 number is very helpful if you need any assistance or have any trouble ( I had to call it a couple times myself). I'm confident I made a good choice w/this one.
