I upgraded from the original 3ds XL and it was very much worth it. The 3D is now actually useable which is very nice. I've been playing Monster Hunter Generations and the faster processor and the c-stick make it a lot more playable than the demo that I played on my old system.

Really nice big screen, and the 3D is amazing it gets a little getting use to but overall great!

This is a great system. The 3D takes some time to get used to but you can turn it off if it causes you to have a headache. The Red on the 3DS XL looks much better in person than it does in photos. Its a dark metallic Red. Removing the backplate can be frustrating since you have to have a 00 or 0 philips head screw driver. Its easy to strip teh screws so you should be cautious when removing the backplate to access the microSD card slot.

My son is only 3, but advanced for his age. He loves this handheld DS. We do not use the 3D part because of his age (not good for eyes) so I'm glad there is a button to turn on/ off. It's not good for 6 and under. He loves playing ninja turtles, and Legos games. We got it in red great to spot around the house! I had a game boy as a kid and loved using it on field trips. This is a way better upgrade from the 80's 90's time!!

I purchased this device to replace my old Nintendo 3DS XL because I recently bought a game that was in 3DS but wouldn't allow me to play it in 3DS. I can say that I'm very happy that I upgraded to the newest version. My previous one was great and did the job, but I like the way this new one feels in your hand. I didn't really like that I had to unscrew the back to add the SD Card. I feel like I might have stripped the screws. Otherwise, I feel like everything is placed perfectly on the device. The game card slot is in a great spot so it's not in the way. The stylus is a bit smaller, but still completely usable. I was a little skeptical about the 3D still being 3D while looking at it in any direction. I have to say that I'm very impressed with how they managed to achieve a 3D view from almost any angle. All in all, I would recommend this product to anyone who doesn't have a 3DS yet, or is going to be upgrading to the latest. Great job Nintendo.

I grew up on classic Nintendo games, but I hadn't had a portable game console since the DS Lite. Decided to buy this as a birthday present, and based on playing with my friends' regular 3DS' I must say this is the option you should choose. The 3D feature is finally useful and it's just so comfortable and amazing to use. Yes, the screens aren't high resolution like all our smartphone screens, but it honestly isn't a problem

Have u ever imagin wanting to view 3d without those uncomtible glass that get u dizzy... Well it here and it pretty awesome. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because no charger is include.

Nintendo has done it again and perfected the 3ds xl system with the stable 3d and amazing graphics.

The new Nintendo 3DS XL is fantastic. The screen is larger than the normal 3DS, and that change alone makes it worth the upgrade. The system has an incredible library of games. The stereoscopic 3D looks cool. The system is easy to carry on the go. It is just awesome.

I upgraded from a 2DS to this,and the difference us night and day better. Large displays,faster load times,and pretty solid 3d effects. It only Gets four stars for not shipping with a power adapter.

I've had the 3DS and DSXL the new 3ds is the best Super fast and great graphics I recommend it

Absolutely shattered my expectations that I had for a 3ds. Mainly picked it up for MH4U. You can clearly see a huge fps increase, the game runs so much smoother. I like the 3D face positioning feature, actually works much better then the previous technology. Only qualm I have is the finish on the 3ds, clearly you can see smudges and finger printers, but other than that, I greatly look forward to the future of N3dsxl games.

I have had this for a few weeks now, and it's been super fun. The only bad thing is that it doesn't come with a charger, but I just didn't read the packaging so it's pretty much my fault.

I purchased this for a Christmas gift. The 3D is really good and it's a plus that the old games still work. The only downfall I have is that you have to purchase the charger separately.

Just as good as the 3DS except bigger screen. Doesn't take SD card like the regular 3DS.

The 3DS was already a great handheld with a huge library of games, but the improvements for the New 3DS add a lot of value to the system. For me, the most impressive new feature is the improved 3D. Now the camera tracks where your eyes are so that you can move your head or the system and the 3D won't be disrupted as it was before. It's a huge difference and it makes the 3D feature of the 3DS much more fun to use.

Excellent upgrade to the 3ds as the 3d is so much better than the old one. I removed a star rating for them being cheap and not including the charger which you have to purchase separately.

This new 3ds is pretty fun to have. The 3d on it is very good. I never got the previous versions because the 3d was hard on the eyes and you really needed to see it at the angle. On this one the 3d is much easier to see as it has some kind of head tracking that lets you still see the image correctly at different angles.

The screen is big comparing to the other games k tried and the the 3d effect is awesome.
