My son loves pokemon and was excited for this to come out. He has continued to enjoy the game. He would definitely recommend it.

Were you a fan of the original Pokemon Snap? Are you someone who likes taking photos? Do you enjoy watching adorable Pokemon interact and live their lives? If you said yes to any of those, this is a great game for you. Expanding on the original game's mechanics and concepts, Pokemon Snap for the Switch is a fun, relaxing game that anyone can play (young or old ).

Much like the original Pokemon Snap, New Pokemon Snap does a great job of introducing you into the world of Pokemon. With lots to do and many pictures to take, this is a really fun time, but can get a bit repetitive.

Gorgeous graphics and brought me nostalgically back to playing the original years ago. The game has a lot of replay value, but that also means it can be a little tedious since you have to replay similar areas to progress

Great game, and a nostalgic trip for any who played the original back on Nintendo 64. The replay ability of Pokémon snap is definitely here. If you love Pokémon, not only for its battles, this is the game for you.

I played the original Pokemon Snap back in the day, and this game definitely improves upon most elements. The game itself is gorgeous, seeing all of the Pokemon animated in nature is fascinating. The gameplay itself is solid and much better than the original.
My complaint would be repetition. The original game was wicked short and relied on a little bit of replay in order to discover secrets. This game I feel has a little too much in terms of having to replay. You level up each course you visit in order to see more Pokemon or see new animations. This is nice in terms of longevity but sometimes the level up system takes way too long.
If you loved the original, you may enjoy this one. Just be prepared to play each course fairly often!

It’s hard to appreciate this game without playing. It may look boring and limited, but once you play it, it becomes so addicting. If you could walk around freely like a real photographer, you would be able to get all the angles of every Pokémon in one run of a level. But the way it’s designed, it makes you miss some Pokémon on a single run, making you want to replay it over and over again to fill out the photodex.

I didn't play the original Pokemon Snap, but I still love this game. There is no catching of Pokemon; the point of the game is to observe Pokemon in their natural state in the wild and take pictures of their various behaviors. The game is beautiful and fun. It really emphasizes going to each region many times to get all 4 star counts for each Pokemon and to snap photos of every Pokemon available. Would recommend!
