    I really like this camera, mainly because if friends/family are telling an enjoyable story I can save it. It's also good for if an incident occurs I can show insurance that either i'm not at fault or what happened to my passengers.

    It takes decent pictures, but the connection is hard to maintain. It has fallen off several times but when it is working it works great

    I have the NextBase Dash Cam and added this for inside of my vehicle. I also had to purchase the a NextBase Micro SD Card. NextBase requires you to use their Micro SD Card that will work when you attach the Cabin View Dash Cam or Rear Dash Cam to the base dash cam. A regular Micro SD Card will work if you do not purchase either item and just have the regular NextBase Dash Cam.

      We're sorry to hear about your negative experience with your Rear Camera.

      Our cameras detect moving objects using visible light, they don't use infrared light like night vision goggles do. This is because infrared isn't very effective at detecting details from flat objects like street signs or car license plates.

      Our dash cams use optical image sensors (similar to your eyes), which means if you are in a completely pitch black environment with no car headlights or external street lights whatsoever, the camera will be unable to pick out details of your surroundings. The same limitations would occur if you were trying to take a picture on your smartphone (with no flash) for example.

      Our cameras do not require high levels of light, but generally the brighter the environment, the the more detailed and crisp you can expect the resulting image to be.

    It works problem is with the manufacturer. If you have the forward facing camera plugged in to the camera mounted in the back window this camera can not be used. you either use this camera or the camera mounted on the rear window
