Despite a lot of worries I had prior to this game being released (from beta reviews), I have been pleasantly surprised. The game play is a lot slower than previous games, but they have greatly improved online play. The controls are similar to the previous game but I feel that they are not very responsive at times. Being a huge hockey fan I appreciate the game and enjoy playing.

I haven't purchased a sports game in a while but saw a few friends playing this and decided to give it a try. Have been having a lot of fun in the EASHL which is like the CoD or Battlefield mode for drop in gaming. You level up your home made character and earn badges while picking whichever "class" you want to each game. You can even start or join a club for ranked play.

Much better than the previous years. Easy to play and great graphics.

EA Sports got my money for the NHL series each and every year for a very long time. Quality and content dropped off enough that a took a break for three years/seasons. New PS4, so new NHL 16. So far I am impressed with the game. Lots of ways to play. Even a play with minimal skills, like myself, can have a great time scoring goals and delivering body checks. Be a Pro really rocks my boat.

The game looks so realistic and the controls are fairly easy.

me and a few friends all bought PS4 just to play this game, we have been buying the new edition every year for PS3 so we can play one another on an online league. For whatever reason they left that feature out of this game. Otherwise i love pretty much everything about the game play. BUT WHY IN THE HECK WOULD THEY REMOVE THE ONLINE SEASON MODE TO PLAY WITH FRIENDS!!!

Really a fun game....Awesome Action and very realistic

This is a very solid Hockey game. It is an improvement over NHL 15 in every respect. The gameplay has been tweaked a little to produce an even more realistic experience. The presentation and in game commentary are a bit more varied than before. There are more modes of play in this game ( Hockey Utlimate Team, Online Eashl Hockey Leagues, Be a Pro, etc) than in NHL 15.

NHL 15 was sort of a disappointment (The first year of Sports Games on a new console generation always are). NHL 16 however is a great game with all the features you know and love (Be A Pro, Be a GM, and Online Play. The skating sometimes feels a bit floaty, but all and all this game is a contender for sports game of the year.

NHL 16 is mountains above 15. Graphics are great. Features are great.

This NHL game has great graphics and it's easy to play

My buddy was supposed to come up and play NHL11 with me on XBOX360, but I had traded it in. I decided to buy this so we could play hockey, and man am I glad I did. We've had lots of good times playing the Exhibition mode. I haven't done BeAGM or BeAPro modes, but it plays well and looks great.

EA Sports has done it again. Each year the NHL franchise game gets incredibly better. The gameplay, the career and season modes, and where do I begin with the graphics. I play this game everyday and can't get enough of it. 100 stars, keep up the good work EA Sports.

Nhl 16 is a great game. My kids are constantly play it. They love the different teams and players to choose from. They love competing against each other. It can get pretty intense. When I tell them to turn it off they just keep playing cause it's hard to put it away.

This game rules. Always been a huge fan of the nhl series and last year despite having the same fun gameplay, was deff lacking in the game modes. Everything is back this year and the play on the ice is the smoothest its ever been. Ill be playint this alll winter.

This is a fun nhl game this year. Unlike the last couple previous years, this one gives you more control, season mode is back and fantasy draft is back as well. It's a little bit more challenging to pass and score and I'm just having a blast with this one so far!

this will be my first NHL game since probably late 90's from what I hear of the online play and the create a player deal (like road to the show or superstar) it has me really amped to play. Really hope it holds up the hype I have been hearing and reading about.

Ii read the reviews of 2015, and everyone said it was too simple/bare bones. This game, however, is awesome. They added back all of the additional versions of game play. Graphics are stunning. I wish they had some legacy teams instead of the card system.

This is MUCH better than last year's horror show (NHL 15)...Graphics are really good and there is a new trainer feature that gives you pointers on how to improve your gameplay. It's a fun game and if you're into the NHL and were disappointed with NHL 15, this new one is much better.

I buy the the NHL franchise every year and I'm always pretty satisfied with it. NHL16 is the best installment in the franchise's history in my opinion. They've refined the game play and polished the presentation. Playoff beards. What's not to like?
