Over the last 2 years EA has definitely stepped up there game and produced a way better hockey game. NHL 17 is a big improvement over NHL16 but the AI still love running into each other, and other frustrating bugs do surface once in a while. The game play is a lot smoother but the way you score goals is a little inconsistent. Right now there are a few goal glitches but will more than likely be fixed in the up coming update. Overall the game is good, but hopefully future updates will fix the issues and make it better game than it is already.

This years version of the NHL series is a lot of fun. There are a dearth of options to choose from. The game can definitely get frustrating when playing against the computer because of the 'EA ice tilt' that definitely exists. My favorite mode is the HUT. The packs seem to be better this year in that you seem to get better cards more easily. (I played through NHL 16 for the entire season and never got a card over an 86).

This is a great updated nhl game, eashl is a great add, hut is polished as well.

I really like the idea of Ultimate Team but really hate how it's laid out. I love the screens and how nice they look but moving through the menus and the overall layout is hard to navigate. The gameplay is a lot better and getting close to being very, very good. However, the commentary is old and out dated and really needs to go.

Great game overall but still hate the momentum meter ea needs to add a setting to turn on and off, or adjust its effect. because it feels like u r fightin gravity or some irresistible force at times especially when down obviously

This game is an awesome simulation if that's what you're looking for. Graphics are good, teams and stadiums very realistic. Lets go Blues!

This was a lot better than last years game. The play is life like and controls are great once you get used to them.

My kids love this game. The game graphics and real time announcers are great. Live play can be a little glitchy otherwise I would have rated it a 5.

I was hesitant to purchase this at first since the previous NHL game I bought didn't allow you to do a franchise and draft your own players from the start. EA changed that however and now I love the game even more. Graphics are still amazing as they always are. Relocating the franchise is in-depth. Make sure to give yourself at least 40 min to an hour to complete that.

I have had NHL games every year dating back to NHL 13 and they continue to make each version better. This version is very smooth and buttery. The only thing I would change is that if there are people who play who, if have a one on goalie situation, will score about 90% of the time. That should be addressed.

EA's best hockey game for sure. I have loads of fun playing online. I can't stop playing. The graphics are amazing and the connection and smooth gameplay have been improved from last year. There still is choppy gameplay once in a while but not as much as last year. Great Game!

We play this together with 2 people playing out and one in goal. It is a lot of fun

And this is a great return to it. I've had a lot of fun playing as my favorite team (go Sharks!). There are a lot of settings that help you find just the right difficulty for you. Great graphics and commentary too.

This game is the first for me in the hockey world of PS4. Gameplay, players, details, and unique qualities really set this game apart. Highly recommend picking this one up.

This game has been a great game ever since I bought it. The connection could be improved for online play with the EA servers but those have always had problems.

Despite being one of those annual titles, the NHL games do actually get better year after year in most cases. This one plays a lot more fluid than before and the AI can actually adapt to your play style and "try" to counter you better than before. The HUT system is far better and you can actually acquire decent/good players without having to spend tons of money for packs to only get minor league players and "average" NHL players. The online community is just as good as it's always been and it has all the game modes you want; Be a GM, HUT, Be a Pro, etc.

Much better than last year. Little nuances in the game make it more realistic. If you have even the slightest interest in hockey, get it. Very fun.

This version of NHL is great. They seem to have brought back some of the older control schemes which can simplify the game for some.

Great game gets better every year!! The be a pro still needs some major work you think ea would look to 2k and see how they do it!!
