Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Once you mount the cameras and install the wires thru the wall, attic, etc. it's literally takes about 10 minutes to set up on your monitor and smart phone. I am an older man and the instructions are easy to follow. The pictures are very good in the day time. At night from a distance you can see but not recognize the person, but without the camera you might not see them anyway. I am impressed and will be adding 2 more cameras soon.

Spend the extra money

Failed in 32 days

Only good for night owl receivers

Great for Windows/PC- Not MAC
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the 8 Channel w/4 cameras about a year or so ago. It has worked well for the most part. If objects are in the line of sight (trees, buildings, etc) the IR light will bounce back and cause distorted pictures. Also, of note: The Player software is NOT COMPATIBLE with MAC. It is impossible to be able to download and send video images using the Nightowl software on a MAC. I found a way around it in order to provide the police with video of our car being broken in to. Customer service doesn't appear to be in the USA. You do wait about 15 minutes to get someone, and the delay while speaking is sometimes frustrating.

great cameras, great price

Product although many great reviews, has FLAWS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did my research, compared several different models, and although it got great reviews, it didnt have service to back it up. We had problems from the get go, had to have it professionally installed because , we didnt find them user friendly. The customer service is poor, tech support unreachable and now that we have sent them 10 service tickets in the last 8 mths, and had to buy another alarm system to make up for a not working 530.00 system.
