I watched Nightcrawler on blu-ray on my XboxOne Console and it was one of the best films I have seen all year. The main character (Jake Gyllenhaal) had a very interesting character with intelligent and sociopathic qualities. The story was able to draw me in and keep me interested throughout the movie. Picture quality was excellent. This is a movie I can see myself watching multiple times.

Dan Gilroy directed a haunting , almost exhausting peek into the addicted life of the paparazzi. Jake Gyllenhaal plays that hungry fame , gotta get it photographer. Rene Russo urges on the zeal of Jake , at any cost. It's the darker side of the night culture , a bit seedy. Gyllenhaal gave a great performance.

I saw this film at an advance screening about a week before it came out in theaters. This movie truly affected me. It might be the most disturbing movie I've ever seen but it is masterfully made and Gyllenhaal was truly Oscar-worthy. I'm majoring in Film at Emerson College so I know what a great movie is. This is one of them. There are also incredible special features on the disc too.

The movie itself is decent. Story is interesting to a degree. However, the element that makes this film is Gyllenhaal's performance. His descent into madness is enthralling. A fine example of one of the best actors of our time. Highly recommend if you are looking more for a character-study film.

Nightcrawler is perhaps the most unfortunately overlooked film of 2014. Gyllenhaal gives the best performance of his career (Oscar-worthy, even if the Academy chose not to nominate him), and everything in this film works splendidly. It's utterly chilling and wonderfully tense. If you haven't seen it yet, treat yourself to one of the best films of last year.

This movie was very interesting to say the least and featured a very different side of Gyllenhaal than I was expecting. It is a good movie and worth the watch. The description on the cover does not do this movie justice, and you will be on the edge of your seat the entire film.

After watching Enemy, I was totally let down and a bit hesitant to give this movie a try. It is really worth it. The character Jake G. plays suits him well...he has the 'scary eyes stare' down to an art! If you want a movie that slowly unravels into an enjoyable plot, this is for you!

Jake Gyllenhall has definitely become a very diverse, talented actor. It is hard to describe the movie without giving anything away, but it is definitely worth a viewing. It is disturbing at times. But Jake's acting, and the skillful direction will make you want to keep watching.

This movie is not what you'd expect. a tad of a slow start during the character building part of the movie but once Jake has got some definition the movie takes a dark twist. The post climax twist to the movie will leave you pondering and pontificating about humanity as a whole

Nightcrawler is a stellar character piece. A work of of fiction that feels less and less so with each viewing ; Work done by Bill Paxton, Rene Russo, and (in particular), Jake Gyllenhal was amazingly realistic with a plot line that could've easily been a disaster with lesser actors of tremendous skill. Highly recommended.

I am not a Jake Gyllenhaal fan, but I chose to watch this movie because of the positive online reviews. The movie did not disappoint and I was blown away by Gyllenhaal's performance! Gyllenhaal gives a masterful performance as a psychopath whose depraved pursuit of his ambitions wreaks havoc on those around him.

I saw Nightcrawler in the theater, and knew the moment the credits started rolling, I would own this film. Nightcrawler is, literally, a dark motion picture with very dark characters. This would make a great choice for a Halloween movie night.

I enjoyed the movie but was disturbed by how far the night crawler went. A must see for everyone since it is basically what the press is "Nightcrawers" even if the don't take it as far as the movie does. Since it goes too far it might get people talking about things the need to see change with the press.

This ended up surprisingly being one of my favorite movies of the year. The film was nominated for the Best Original Screenplay Oscar and i truly believe it should have been nominated for Best Picture and Best Lead Actor as well. An unconventional success story that will leave you on the edge of your seat.

The picture and sound quality is fantastic, as you'd expect from a Blu Ray disc at this point. There aren't a TON of features but the movie itself is excellent. Jake Gyllenhall gives a very creepy and unsettling performance in this one, check it out!

I thought Nightcrawler was quite an excellent thriller. Jake Gyllenhaal gave perhaps the best performance of his career. I thought the film became a little implausible near the end, but apart from that it was a very entertaining and engaging film.

Gyllenhall is a freakazoid in this movie, it has a beggining like molassase but it eventually starts sliding out and goop is great. Now. I will say it has a pretty hilarious message and ending, but only because of my absurd level of cynicism can I laugh and simultaneously understand this story.

Jake can act and has shown it over and over again. This is a very different story and could have been filled out a little better than it was, but this is a still a great movie to check out and watch. Glad to have it in my movie collection.

I had been told how cool this was, but being a horror fan, I never watched it until BB had it on sale for $5. It definitely appeals to Horror sensibilities as it's extremely dark, and deals with a budding sociopath. Check this one out because it's pretty twisted.

This was one of the best movies of 2014 and Jake Gyllenhaal's performance is one of his best. The only problem with this blu ray is the amount of extras. There is just a behind the scenes and commentary. I thought there would be more.
