Best Sleep ever! Great device for sleep assist!

As a recent father, good sleep has been in short demand. When a friend referred me to the nightingale sleep aid, I was a little skeptical at first, but after trying it, I have never slept better! The different sound options help tailor to different sleep requirement - since I live in a major city - I use the Adult Bedroom blanket white noise that really helps reduce the traffic below to ensure better sleep. But, besides the pre-selected white noises, I do enjoy the additional options of nature noises - making it flexible to use it for your preference. The white noise is also great to use for our newborn as well. Another pleasant surprise is the night light that can switch different colors to suite your evening moods which is all controllable through the app. Lastly, the form factor is quite unique to other white noise products we had purchase in the past; the pass through plug connection makes it very convenient to fit any plug location without the hassle of adding an extension cord. The only Con that I have is that the app could use a little more work on additional features, but for a gen 1 version it is a good start and does the job well with lighting, sound, and timing controls. Overall, I love the product and look forward to a next version!

I recently saw an article on this sleep system and found it at best buy. I live in an apartment with noisy neighbors so I had looked at several options. The price was a little high going in, but if it was going to silence next door and get me a good night’s sleep, it’s worth it.
Set up was an easy process and is self-explanatory. Put one unit on either side of the room and schedule set sounds in the app. I've been using it for almost a week and the noisy neighbors are now just neighbors! (When the neighbors slam their door, I can still hear it but I can't hear them listening music when this unit is on.)
I am considering a second set for the baby's room because of the nature sounds. The app is easy to use but I would like to see more sounds and options, maybe siri connectivity. The hardware is really eloquent, solidly built and well designed – plug and play.
It is a little pricey, but I would recommend to others -- 4 stars

Good product-some glitches but great when it works

I use it every night. Have had some trouble with the app/time feature, but when I do a hard reset (unplug and plug back in) it seems to work just fine. It is basically a surround sound sleep system, works well!

One of the two speakers did not work after installation. It did have easy installation. The sound quality was good. An app with two Bluetooth speakers would be just as good for about $50 rather than $199 on sale.

It's been 2 weeks since we purchased the Nightingale 2 Pack and it's been a good experience and fun to tinker around with all the sounds, lights, settings and IFTTT applets. However, it's a bit finicky when the 2 units don't sync up with the app. The glitches seem to work itself out after a few days...
While we didn't need help falling asleep, we purchased this to help us get better uninterrupted sleep as my wife and I keep slightly different sleep/wake schedules. We did notice that we don't toss and turn as much when the other sleeps late or gets up early. Overall, it's a good product but the price is very, very expensive... half the cost is a much more reasonable price point.
Other notes:
- Wide volume range, from quiet to very loud. Good fidelity.
- Snoring blanket just sounds like a louder version of the regular sleeping blanket. The nature sounds were cool but some stranger than others!
- More settings are available on the web app than the mobile app. Android app in general needs a lot more refinement...
- Audible IFTTT alert applets are really useful ("motion alert", "temperature drop alert", etc)

My parents bought this device for my sister and I as a gift, and we each took one. My sister and I have problems sleeping and this product has aided us in better quality of sleeps. Since having this my sleeps have improved tremendously. It took a little while for me to get used too. You have to play around with the settings and figure out works best for your room. Once I found the right “banket” setting, sound and volume, i can’t sleep without it. You set up, and control the nightingale with an app on your phone, from there you control the sound, what type of setting works best for your room, coulour of light, and the different sounds. My favourite thing is I can set up a timer for when I want the sound to start and stop, so i don’t have to manually turn it on at night and stop it in the morning. I like how it doesn’t eliminate a plug-in, as you can’t plug things into it. My sister says she wishes she had both devices in her room, as it would have a better effect and cancel noise better. But I personally am content with just the one in my room. It all depends on individual preference and how you like to sleep! I love this!

Terrific user experience and setup process compared to the majority of connected home products. The tutorial is very helpful and walks you through the set-up and wifi connect process quite simply.

I've tried the cheaper noise generators and they don't always work. This one was easy to set up, has an almost unlimited number of sleep sound options. I have tinnitus and really like the noise blanket setting for that problem. The set up took 10 minutes and it worked right away. Had fun with the "whale sound" and my dog - he thought it was real!

I like the ability to set a timer and never having to remember to turn it on or off. Perfect for helping me get to sleep.

Plenty of FREE white noise apps that work better

Sound quality is terrible and have been having issues getting the timer to work well. This was definitely a good idea but there is very little that can be done about the poor sound quality. There are plenty of free white noise apps that come with better timers that increase the ease of functionality, there are also youtube videos of white noise, raindrops, being on an airplane, and whale noises that don't sound like an animal is being tortured.
I got this thing as a gift and am still giving it 1 star because I've gotten so irritated using it I've ripped these things out of the walls because they've only been causing me issues. These don't sync with any smart equipment and are not suited to fit the modern home. .5 stars

The sound quality leaves much to be desired. The sound is extremely tinny and frankly doesn't block out the low frequencies that bother me during sleep, such as heavy footsteps from my roommates. The tinny sound is also distracting. I've been using a an S+ ResMed for many years and prefer that over the white noise of the Nightingale. The other sounds that are available just don't sound any good with the tinny speakers.
