The size is fantastic. I have a normal sized set of binoculars, but this pair has a size that is easy for me to carry on a regular basis, and the optics are amazing.

My wife wanted a small set of binoculars to take on her Alaskan cruise. I saw these on the BB website and decided to check them out. I like everything about them and made the purchase. When she got home I surprised her with them and she was overjoyed about the physical size...I was her hero for the day!! She took them on her trip and loved them...good set to get for a purse, etc.

These were smaller than I expected but that turned out to be a big plus! I am on the small side with small hands but these binoculars are easy to handle and not at all cumbersome. For their small size they give a very big view. I found the focus adjustments easy to make and I am very pleased with how well I am able to see birds and wildlife. I think they would also be good at a concert or sporting event. Their light weight and included carrying case and strap make these binoculars easy to take anywhere. I have already recommended them to a few people.

Cannot really review how they will work from my grandsons perspective as they were purchased for his Christmas gift. In my opinion these binoculars appear quite light weight, compact and HOPEFULLY durable. Because of these qualities I think a child can handle the product easily and enjoy many hours of fun while gathering a wealth of education due to their ease of function. However, I wish the lens covers were attached so they aren’t such an obvious opportunity for getting lost. We all know kids and adults loose pieces like this as well as camera lens covers. There has to be someone who thinks about this possibility in terms of product function. They should figure a way for a very thin strap attachment to be affixed to the binoculars that would certainly save some grief and disappointment by the owners (child or adult). Because kids are kids, I’m quite sure these binoculars will be accidentally dropped. The real proof in this products quality is the durability of the lens from getting too easily cracked or shattered. They are surrounded by what appears to be a VERY DURABLE outer covering for protection, so I’m just hoping they hold up well. NIKON has a very positive following of products in the marketplace so hopefully I won’t be disappointed. I also purchased the GEEK SQUAD Insurance Policy. Only time will tell.

I went into Best Buy looking for binoculars for a trip out west. I wanted something that I could take hiking and compared these binoculars to another larger set in-store. They were the same price and the larger set had slightly better magnification. The glass inside both seemed to be of similar quality. I decided to go with this smaller size due to it's compact design and weight. I took them on my hikes and used them on multiple occasions. They were just the right size and weight to carry on my hip for multiple miles. They're also small enough to take to baseball games, graduations, etc. without standing out in the crowd. I'd highly recommend these binoculars across multiple scenarios and events.

I bought one for my son and one for me, for our Orca watching excursion. They were perfect for me, and easy to focus with the big wheel in the middle. Very crisp images from over 200 yards away (and more). The small size made them easy to use, as I could identify movement on the horizon and then quickly find the right spot with the binocular. My son (12) said it was a little difficult to focus using that knob, so perhaps have your child try it first before purchasing.

Wanted glasses just to watch birds at backyard feeder. These do the job. Lightweight, easy to focus, compact- good for hiking. but if you want something powerful for long distance, you will have to spend a lot more $.

Good quality optics, while being lightweight and smaller to easily fit into a hiking pack. Focuses nicely. Some troubles focusing if the binoculars are not held very still.

I bought this pair to use it in concerts and sports. They came in very handy as I went to two concerts in the same week, and my seats were far from the stage. In one of the concerts they didn't have a big screen, so if I didn't bring these I would be in bad shape. It is super sharp and lightweight. With the 10x magnification, you have to have steady hands. But image stabilization only comes in more expensive binoculars. The only problem is the strap. It is not well designed, doesn't hold the binoculars, slips through the loop. Had to tie a knot to hold it in place.

I purchased these as I was walking though the BB store on a trip I came for something else. They are so much more lightweight than our full-size pair. You can easily through them in a purse or backpack and they are of very high quality!

I have never been able to use a pairs of binoculars more easily or gotten such a clear view as with these! They are a great size and weight to take with me on a hike or a play -- they were super on a boat trip around Manhattan. :-)

Clarity and magnification are excellent for the small size and price. Great for football games (used at Super Bowl 52) or any other activity requiring binoculars with pocket-ability. Easy focus with or without glasses.

These compact binoculars are really good quality for the price. The focus is crisp and they are really easy to use. The only thing I don't like is the fact that they don't have lens covers for the bottom lens. They do have covers for the eye pieces. They will fog up in a humid environment fyi.

Over the years I’ve purchased some very cheap binoculars. This year, with a trip to Yellowstone coming up, I decided enough was enough and to purchase a true pair of binoculars. I’m so glad I did. Binoculars are those kind of things where you feel okay buying a pair for $10 at a big box store and you think it’s good enough. Then you try these binoculars and you realize what you have been missing. Crystal clear optics. No fiddling with each eyepiece and eye fatigue. Just a clear image. There is one dial in the middle that adjusts for both eyes at once, making it easy to get in focus. I have an astigmatism in my right eye, but had no issue seeing anything clearly with these. These worked very well for Yellowstone. I was to watch some wildlife from across a valley and get some good details. With that said, I wished I would have spent a little more and gotten a higher magnification set for Yellowstone, but these worked very well. I started using them for bird watching, which these are very well suited for. But if you want something to take to a national park, get Nikon with more power. I’m still pleased with these, and it has taught me that your really get what you pay for.
