I got this item on clearance, so the price for the all-around function of the lens is good; however, the AF motor emits a very audible high-pitched whining when in use.

Bit of a learning curve, but very glad i got it great quality and awesome pictures

Great lens for the price, great image quality, good in low light, do not be fooled by grey market lenses that are the same model as this but cheaper because Nikon will not warranty repairs on them even if you pay them. Best Buy is an Authorized retailer and well worth the money. Auto focus can be a bit sluggish however if you use a single point focus then it resolves the concern. Which with most long range images your looking to focus on a single object anyhow from my experience, but that's my opinion. Depends on your use. Opt for the 55-300 for the extra $150 if you need the range.

Excellent price and value on this lens, works perfectly with my Nikon d3200

i purchased this for a trip to Africa and was not disappointed. i used it with my new Nikon ds3200. i was able to take some wonderful animal pictures which i would not have been able to do otherwise. the vibration reduction works wonderfully well...took many form an idling van and there was no blurring. the auto focus works as well, though not so much with the video...am still trying to figure that one out. the close ups of animals even at a distance allowed me to see the whiskers on their faces.

got this lens for Christmas and love taking pictures with it--it's perfect when you need to get a little closer than the basic lens--very easy to attach and great value--love it as well as my camera

This lens is a must have if you want to increase your picture quality at a different range. its a 55MM-200MM and it allows you to zoom in the subject and capture those far away subjects. easy to attach, not too big or to small, comes with its own pouch.

I wanted to new lens to expand the things I could do and the shots I could get. This was the perfect lens. My shots are crystal clear and the lens is very easy to use and change out with my other lenses. I am very satisfied with my product.

This is a great lens for walking around downtown on a Sunday afternoon to snap some great pictures of wild life and scenery. Very versatile for action shots or bar cheers with your friends. I consider this lens my utility lens because of it's wide range of use.

Son Just getting into photography great starter lens works well

The lense was very easy to put on and take off. Easy to use and takes great pics. It made a noticable difference when using and did a great job. Also stored easily in our bag and since it connects quickly it was easy to switch as needed.

I really love this lens. I can take pictures and 1080p HD video and really zoom in close, like of the old WWII airplanes flying by at an air show I just went to. Sometimes though, when I'm indoors at a wedding, I want to be in the back and really zoom in on the bride and groom without being too close to them and that's nice but when I want to zoom out, the 55mm max is not enough sometimes and I have to switch back to the 18-55mm lens, that's why I wished it were a 18-200mm lens. Other than that, I have no complaints. I got it for $150 which is $100 less than the original price because I bought it at the same time I got the Nikon D5100 package deal.

This is a good lense for beginners and produces great images.

Purchase a new Nikon d5300 added extra lense for different things like the ideal of getting pictures whenever you can't get close to your subjects, ideal for graduations,sports don't want to miss those special memories.
