This is a good first camera, the settings are easy to adjust and the various modes fit just about any situation. Great for both action shots and landscapes/still shots. Since I have no need of the video camera, I have not tested it.

I relied on a store representative for advice matching my wants (high-quality point-and-shoot camera for an African Safari) and price range. I wanted ease of use so I did not have to work hard for fast, beautiful shots. The camera's 40x optical zoom is everything I needed, and the high MP resolution allowed even more close up views after cropping. I shot many subjects at greater than 100 yards, and the pics make it look like the animals were 10 feet away! I have also used the "Action" mode which does a burst of 7 rapid shots, and it will capture an athlete mid-air with no blur. The attached shot of a rhino was taken more than 100 yards out.

My 2 Year old grandson broke the lens of my first Nikon COOLPIX of this model I enjoyed using it all over China for three weeks. Easy to use and the camera and I looked professional. Overall...I give it a 4.5 (out of five). It takes great shots, the settings are easy to set, easy to handle. The zoom is nice(40x). The things that still are lacking are 1) no panoramic three pix as camera melds into one long horizontal pic. 2) Increase the Megapixel to 18 or 20.

I waited a long time to purchase this camera. I checked it out with my husband and then put it back to think about it some more. I am so glad that I finally made the purchase of this camera. It is a great camera and am very satisfied with my decision.

The good thing about this camera is that it is light to load it, very good photos with a lot of clarity, but its disadvantage is that it is a bit slow when you change your cursor position and you do not have the option to make a long video, otherwise very good .

Still learning all the features. Great zoom range and with excellent focus at full extension. Good clarity of subject at every distance. Good response to low light situations.

Absolutely LOVE this camera!! I use it to photograph my Children, and my Dogs, as I am a Breeder of Alaskan Malamutes!! Wonderful for taking action shots, and pics from a far distance:-) Pictures are crystal clear!!

Good camera but the manual for its use and capabilities is lacking. Also the camera takes 4 aa batteries and there were no rechargeable batteries and recharger with this camera. Also there is no view finder with this camera.

This camera takes sharp clear pics I would recommend it to anyone.

Got this for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it. It was snowing today and she was taking amazing close up pictures of snowflakes.

This is a really nice camera for just starting out. I love it and have been practicing & playing around with the features since I got it. Plus it’s my favorite color and it was very reasonable.

I LOVE THIS CAMERA. When the Super Blue Blood Moon happened this year I could zoom so close that it looked like it was right in front of me.

Bought this camera while on a road trip. Took great pictures and was easy to download pictures to my phone through an app.

Great for starter camera. Very easy to use once you get the hang of it. Nice flash. Cons jams which gets frustrating. You cannot attach detach a lens (if photography is something ur serious about upgrade in future) Can not figure out to change shutter speed. So fbibking it’s not possible Quality isn’t the best but maybe it has more to do on my end. But all n all GREAT FOR A NEWBIE JUST GETTING STARTED FOR THE PRICR N THIS WILL HELP DETERMINE IF ITS A PASSION HONESTLY.
