Nikon batteries, particularly the EL-EN15, are the best of the best for Nikon cameras. No compatibility issues, guaranteed top notch performance. As the saying goes, in the end you get what you paid for.

I purchased this to have a backup for when I was conducting long shoots. I have found that I typically do not use both batteries on most shoots. Nikon's own test conditions yielded approximately 4,500 shots per charge. This truly incredible. I have easily taken more than 800 to 1000 shots on a charge, sometime's more. A big part of the number of shots I get is how much I review them on the LCD. This is the largest drain of power. Even though battery comes in D7100 package and has an amazing life, I would suggest picking up a second. If you have two batteries you should be able to charge both the night before a big shoot and then when you swap them out, place the empty one on the charge. In about 2.5 hours, the empty battery will be refreshed.

The batteries last a long time and the charger works fast. I'm impressed...definitely better than some of my previous cameras.

Being a Nikon, name brand battery it has the reliability you would expect. But when you consider some of the other options out there of after market or non-name brand batteries with price tags half the cost of the Nikon battery or less, I think it's a little expensive. Do I think it's worth more money then the after markets? Yes, but not 100% more.

Ordered a battery for my new Nikon D750. It arrived promptly and was the Nikon brand replacement that I needed. Third-party brands often do not last. Best Buy matched the price available on Amazon, so that pleased me as well.

I have a number of Nikon cameras and different batteries that they use. I have found that the EN-EL15 has excellent battery use life and takes a fast charge.

I bought the Rechargeable Lithium-Ion EN-EL15 Battery as a backup power supply for my Nikon D610. This battery has good reserve power and has a small footprint. I can carry this battery in my pocket with ease. This battery can be used in the optional battery grip if you want to. With this battery, I found no need to buy an optional battery grip as it will add weight and bulk to the Nikon D610. For those who take photographs on special occasions such as weddings, birthday parties and especially while on vacation, it is a must to have the Nikon EN-EL15 handy as a reserve power when you need it most.

Buy only Nikon battery products. When you spend a couple of grand on a camera (D750) it does not make since to buy a cheap after market battery. This battery along with the one that came with your camera are a perfect fit in your camera bag.

Having just recently bought a Nikon D7100 camera, having a back up battery is a must. Since I have a Nikon product, I will only purchase a Nikon battery to go with it. The camera cost too much to take any chances with a off brand.

I have had so so luck with camera batteries made by a company other than the camera manufacturer, so now I purchase original equipment. The Nikon EN-EL15 is well made and on a full charge allows me to shoot over 1,000 photos with my Nikon D750 camera. I sometimes shoot several thousand photos over several days while camping with no opportunity to charge batteries. So, I bought two spare EN-EL15 batteries. They are not inexpensive, but I believe that they are worth their price.
