As a recent purchaser of the Nikon Z fc mirrorless camera, I had three Nikkor DX lenses I wanted to use instead of buying new lenses. The quality of this adapter, including super accurate autofocus, exposure, and retaining original lens focal length is amazing. Overpriced at $249, but it works well.

It's perfect! It saved me SO much money in lenses, and there is no difference with any lens I use. This is a game changer if you have F-mount lenses and a new Z-mount body.

This adapter allows you to run F mount on Z cameras perfectly. I haven't had a single issue with any of my lenses. 15-30 tamron, 50mm 1.4 sigma art, 135mm 1.8 sigma, 70-200 2.8 nikkor, 150-600mm sigma, 150mm 2.8 macro sigma, 500mm f4G nikkor. AF acquisition is fast.

Not much to say about this one. You need it if you want to still use your F-mount lenses after changing to mirrorlessZ-mount system. I don't think there's any loss in functionality (autofocus, VR, etc.). Just keep in mind the crop factor when shooting with a full frame Z-mount system. (For example, a 35mm f/1.8 on APS-C is roughly equivalent to a 50mm f/2.8 on a full-frame camera.) Best Buy should still be offering to reduce the price when bundled with a new camera body; otherwise, check other camera stores online to do a Best Buy price match (cough, Bravo & Hotel....) :) Example shots are with a AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G mounted on a Nikon Z6 II with FTZ II adapter.

Love this thing. I recently switched to mirrorless and didn’t want to not use my old lenses. This thing is smooth light not even noticeable. Auto focus works great with f mounts doing video. Not as quiet, as my z mount, but quick and smooth.

A big improvement over the original FTZ adapter. The original FTZ adapter had issues when using certain tripods and didn’t allow me to use my L bracket (Three Legged Thing) on my Z50.
So I sold the original FTZ and upgraded to this model. Suddenly my L bracket fits without an issue!
Also: Note: when I first connected this FTZ to my Z50, I got a message on the screen that said I was using an unsupported lens. A simple firmware update on my Z50 solved that issue.
My only complaint is that it’s pricey. $249 for an adapter? Geeeeez, Nikon…

Excellent product! Don't even buy a mirrorless camera without getting this adaptor! I put a 10-20 lens on mine... Personally I still love my D500 Nikon cameras way better than the mirrorless one I bought... but without my being able to use my other lenses... like the 10-20... on it... I probably would never even use the mirrorless camera! (It is Soooo much slower taking pictures tan my D500's!

It took forever to get my Z9 camera, but this mount is a necessity in order to continue using my other Nikon and sigma Prime and telephoto lenses! Works like a charm.. I caught this storm front as it rolled in Wednesday the 3rd of August, 2022

Works like a charm. It’s a great way to use old lenses with the new mount. Essentially keeping the versatility of what I had without breaking the bank.

Amazingly it works as expected. The delivery was questionable at best. I was lucky I actually received the item, as the box was open when it was left by the post office. The box was large and there was no padding around the adapter box. There is no padding side the adapter box either. Nikon makes a pretty tough adapter! Definitely a buy- just do not have Best Buy ship it to you! Just opened right up.

I purchased a Z series camera and was already vested in Other FX and DX Nikon Glass. this Adapter works well with all of my nikon glass to date. Gives me the ability to use Nikon FX lenses on my Z series camera.

The Nikon Mount Adapter has been a good buy. It allows me to attach camera lenses to my mirrorless camera that are not specifically made for the mirrorless. Only downside is the autofocus does not always work with it.

Nikon's FTZ II adapter works as advertised, allowing full-featured use of most F-mount lenses on Z-mount cameras. One notable exception: this adapter has no AF motor, so it can not drive the mechanically coupled focusing mechanisms in older lenses which don't have their own motor.
