If you’re getting into photography, then this is the flash for you; very basic and simple to use. It’s not for professionals, but clearly suited for the amateur. Works well, with a fairly solid build. You can’t go wrong getting this flash unit.

This flash is running great - has not let me down. Very good product at a relatively reasonable price. It is also powerful, despite being tiny in size.

I’m still learning how to use all of the features on this flash, but I have to say, I loooove it. Makes all the difference on almost all shots. Incredibly fast turnaround, too. Wanted to get a cheaper flash but read how long between flashes, and I couldn’t afford to waste 4-7 seconds of time. Great upgrade!

The flash is easy to use and enhances my pictures greatly. Screen easy to read and and flash has extras to help with various lighting conditions.

The Nikon speedlite is as expected Nikon Quality. Performs flawlessly on my D-750 and as a remote flash with built in capabilities. I use this for fill effects and with high speed capturing. Strong mount with locking tab securely attaches it to the hot shoe. Bit stiff on the movement, most likely since it new. Has many setting for Manual and automatic light settings, detects the lens and F/Stop you are using on the camera and compensates for it. Works well up to about 20mm past that you reached its limits without additional equipment.

Very easy to use, great flash if you have no idea how to use them! Not 100% what I expected, I need to learn more about using it to get the right amount of light to not get people's faces so greasy! Overall, I recommend, even though it is a bit pricey. A great flash overall.

First bought it and thought it would be overwhelming to learn everything. Not the case as it's very easy to navigate and does a lot of the work for you. Especially if you're on TTL. I recommend this one 100% There are comparable flashes out there but as with any Nikon branded product they just seem to be a little bit short to what Nikon can do...and the price difference here isn't large enough to sacrifice having Nikon for another brand.

My old flash was just overused. The new flash has been perfect with every use. The bounce feature has been very rewarding!

This flash is easy to use and performs really well. It provides professional quality but it still doesn't feel like it should be the price that it is. I would say this would be a great value if it was $100 cheaper.

I don't use the flash much, but it has come in handy on a couple of occasions so far. It is definitely helpful indoors. I'm just still learning on how to make the necessary adjustments. It is simple enough for even a novice like myself to make simple adjustments. A little more reading and I'll figure out how to take more advantage of it.

I am becoming re-acquainted with photography as a hobby beyond "just taking photos of the family". I prefer to shoot without flash, but there are times when additional lighting is required. The Nikon SB-700 external flash has allowed me to add the necessary lighting to capture the image. I love the fact that the head can be adjusted horizontally in addition to the traditional vertical position. While I have not fully explored the creative opportunities with this flash, I look forward to doing so.

This nikon sb-700 is way way better than my sb-500, the one i like most is the commander, it woks with 2 sb-500.

Great speed light. Easy to operate and good quality. A bit pricey but worth it.

Looking for a good flash for a reasonable price. This does what more expensive flashes does without breaking the bank

Prosumer level. Speed light is well made and full featured. Relatively compact but packs a punch.

Got this flash for weddings a few months ago and so far so good. The only drawbacks are recycle time during a lengthy strech of frames and the amount of batteries it uses up during a 4-5 hour shoot.
