Upgrading from an 10 year old Canon Rebel DSLR that felt so heavy and clunky and going to a mirrorless felt great. Images in daylight are fantastic and sharp. Bokeh effect that knocks the background are super easy and much better than my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Taking fast images are easy too with the 11 fps burst option.
I especially love the fully articulating touch screen which allows me to snap shots that would otherwise make my back sore! The touch screen is also pinch to zoom and double taps just like a smartphone.
Battery life is exceptional with all day shooting capabilities but just in case, I purchased a spare Nikon battery for vacation trips.
Shooting 4K video is crisp but IBIS is non-existent so you may have to use a gimbal for smoother clips. For that I just continue to use my iPhone with a DJI OM5 gimbal.
Lastly, it's very subjective but this lightweight camera just looks cool. It's very retro designed but so easy to carry when hiking and taking along the city for quick snap shots. There are various options and accessories which I purchased as well to make it even better like the grip handle that screws on and a thumb attachment for superior grip.
Love this amazing camera for everyday pics and for learning photography as well. Yeah, it's not a Sony A7SIV but for the price, the images look great to me.

The nostalgia! I kove that this not only looks like a film camera but functions like one too! It has all the dedicated dials for ISO, shutter speed, and exposure compensation. It also has a light meter when looking through the view finder just like vintage film cameras. The touch screen is really nice for using Auto Focus and swiping through pictures to view them. The WiFi and Bluetooth connect quick and are super nice to have! Quality is good, but I definitely will want other lenses which is why it only gets a 4/5 stars for me.

Everyone wants to know the story behind this camera its a retro look which i love. The pictures are great the accsories for it are endless. The lens options are great! The only downside is that its not prefect for taking portraits. I’ve had it for some time now and I still love it! Did great through photograph class. Great for someone just starting off.

I’ve been having a blast using this camera. Not being a pro or anything, basically a beginner here. I found using this to be supper fun and easy. It fills good in hand and not to bulky so it’s a great on the go camera. Got a lot of compliments for how it looks.

Up to now still my favorite camera. I have a Nikon Zf, Fujifilm X100VI and a Sony A7IV. The other three gives me a great result without any manual settings and skills, but Zfc does require you to understand photography better.

Really enjoying the camera so far, have gotten some amazing shots both day and night. My first "pro" camera after one youtube video and a few hours I started shooting full manual. Loving it so far.

Purchased this "beauty" because I am an Nikon user since the 70's and liked to try the Nikon's mirrorless technology. Also purchased the Nikon FTZ adapter in order to use some of the compatible lenses I own. For once I have to say that the stock lens included in the kit (16- 50) works very well for what it is. Using the FTZ adapter I was able to check the camera with my 16 - 85 G ED and the possibilities are limited only to my creatibity. The bad news, since the mirrorless system exposes the sensor each time to swap a lens the risks to get dust are out there. I swapped lens once, carefully and in a close room without a breeze, sadly, photos started to show dust since then. For a test, went back to the original lens but still the same, not worse. The final disapointmen came when I learned that this body does not have electrostatic sensor cleaner so you need to clean it yourself, that is not always a good idea. Won't recommend this camera unless you're going to leave the stock lens always there.

Part of the attraction was the retro look. It reminded me of the Pentax K1000 that I had as a teen. But, honestly, the photo quality is amazing. I’ve bought the 50-250mmns and telephoto lens and 105mm mc lens.
Great intro to high quality mirrorless photography

I replaced my Nikon D7200 with the Z fc. Although it came with the Z 16-50 lens, I'm using my Nikkor 18-200 and 10-24 DX lenses. Excellent, light weight camera that captures amazing images.

The camera is quick, precise and stylish. I love the dials and the analog feel associated with the physical controls to change aperture, iso and exposure.

Spend less and get the Z50. Exact same sensor and more intuitive. I thought I would like this vintage design and using the dials, but it wasn't as intuitive and ergonomic as the Z50 (and any other Nikon from the past 15 years). This is a repackaged Z50 at a higher price point. If you like the knobs and dials of a Nikon from the 60s, I'd recommend just buying an old film camera. This is a daytime travel camera and I think you can get a better deal with one of the retro-designed Fujifilm. Super disappointed in this Nikon. It's pretty much just for looks imo. Oh, and low-light with this lens is pretty bad, but that's to be expected with the f/3.5-6.3. It may perform better with a different DX lens, but I've returned it (at 15% restocking fee, what the heck!?) and have opted for a full frame. This is cute and light and feels solid, but I honestly think the iPhone 13 takes better pictures. Too bad. I learned photography on a Nikon that looked like this so I felt a lot of nostalgia when buying it. But I went ahead and bought the new Sony a7 iv with some nice glass instead.

The Nikon Z fc is an absolute joy to use. From the moment you pick it up, the retro design catches your eye, but it’s the intuitive controls and modern performance that really make it shine. Whether you’re new to photography or a seasoned shooter, this camera feels easy to use, but still powerful enough to grow with you.
Menus are clear, the dials give it that satisfying hands-on feel, and the image quality is impressive—sharp, vibrant, and reliable even in low light. It’s lightweight, fun to carry, and connects seamlessly to your phone for quick sharing.
If you’re looking for a camera that combines style, simplicity, and serious capabilities, the Z fc is a fantastic choice.

We were debating between this, the Nikon Z50 and the new Nikon Z30. We ended up going with this one because it has the fully articulate screen that the Z50 does not, and has the eye viewfinder that the Z30 does not. It’s essentially the Z50 and Z30 combined, but with the added retro look, which we love. And the retro knobs are fun and much easier to use for manual shooting, rather than having to go to the screen each time. The only thing we don’t like is that it is a bit slippery because there is no hand grip, so we definitely use it with the strap to prevent it from falling to the ground.

Great little camera. I was a professional photojournalist for a while and am used to lugging around a huge bag of gear. This is versatile, easy to use, and quick to adapt from one task to another. Much lighter and easier than a full kit. Not as good for sports and action as the full pro kit, but it gets the job done for less serious shoots. And the adapter lets me use all the big lenses from the old kit.
The lens adapter is a must buy with this camera so you can use other Nikon lenses.

As a semi-beginner photographer, this camera has been very easy to get used to. The dials on top of it make it extremely easy to change the settings without digging through many menus. I have small hands so I don't find any issues with holding the camera, but I could see if you have larger hands that it could be a bit uncomfortable to hold and I would recommend purchasing the grip to attach to it. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone who is even slightly interested in it.

This camera takes great pictures, even in low light. I bought it as a backup to my Nikon Z6 II and I am shocked on how good the pictures look. Shoots pretty fast and the clarity and sharpness is off the charts good. I used it at my nieces wedding and even the wedding photographer was shocked on how great the pictures looked. Old school looks but easy to dial it in and get great shots, looks wise looks like the film cameras of old but with the digital benefits. Once you put battery in and and buy the grip, it handles more like a DSLR, and can be used with one hand.
