Nice way to quickly make pizza, or if your into bread making have a place to proof and then bake it on a stone, so overall this is a huge win for me. Setup is easy, though due to the amount of heat it is recommend you setup outside and outdoors, and if you do leave it there, while they say weather resistant and can be used in ithe Rain or snow, definitely want to keep it some place covered and covered itself. Or just lug it in when cool and done using it and it cools. That said, I find the fact this is electric really handy as I don't have to take up grill space to cook a pizza, so when its BBQ time, the kids can make there pizza's with toppings while I can grill next it. Since it will cook a pizza decently in 3 minutes even the smallest one will be able to wait, and with the window they can watch. Highly recommend having a pizza peel though to get it out and I found adding some cornmeal to bottom of the dough was a bit better then flour to allow it slide in and out easily. Additionally though it has a proofing function, which is awesome when you want to make and bake some rolls with dinner, you can set this up, proof your dough quickly and then use the baking fucntion to bake your rolls while you BBQ the mains next to it, or if you want to get really wild BBQ some chicken and then turn around and make BBQ chicken pizzas with this. Options are limitless and since its a seperate unit it makes entertaining in the summer so much easier. 10/10

In my house we absolutely LOVE pizza.  It started when I was a kid because my family would order pizza every Friday night.  Friday night was pizza night during the school year (during the summer we would routinely camp, or I'd have baseball games, or we'd be traveling for our yearly vacation so during the summer it was hit & miss).  And so due to this starting as a kid it has led to me passing it along to my family in my own home.  With the cost of literally everything going up I have found it hard to keep this tradition alive in recent times.  Enter this glorious pizza oven.  With my having worked at a national chain pizza place starting as a teenager being an insider, then a driver, and then finally at 18 being a shift manager, I know how to hand make pizzas-which is something I have taught my kids how to do as well too. Unpackaging & Setup The box is rather large, so if you have a small vehicle please be mindful you might find it hard to fit it in the trunk or the back seat, as someone with only a 2-seater vehicle that I daily drive, had Best Buy not shipped it directly to me I'd have had to get another family member's vehicle to pick it up.  Once I opened the box I was able to set the pizza oven up outside & get it plugged into power so we could try it out later that day for our dinner.  The oven itself looks very nice, sleek, and I believe it fits in nicely with our outdoor cooking appliances. Rating: 5/5 First Use We set about making the pizza pie, saucing the pie, covering it with toppings & finally putting cheese over everything.  Then I placed the pizza in the pizza oven & we let the pizza cook.  At a chain pizza place, at least the ones I worked at, the pizza would be done in the oven in about 6 minutes.  For ours it took about 8 minutes in the oven.  Not too bad at all.  I believe I might be able to shave some time off of that if I mess with the temperature, how we make the pizza, etc.  The crust was evenly cooked without it charging or blacking on one side and being uncooked on the other.  That is HUGE for at home pizza cooking methods because normally I have to rotate the pizza midway through cooking but on this I absolutely did not.  GREAT! Rating: 5/5 Clean Up I used parchment paper between the pizza & the stone to help keep the stone clean because I've had pizza ovens before and the stone is the one item that is always rather difficult to keep clean for very long, then it is also difficult to clean once the kids, or anyone else, gets them dirty.  Sure it factors into the cost of the pie when making it but it makes cleaning up a breeze (that is why we use aluminum foil in the air fryer too vs. cleaning it after every single use; work smarter not harder!).  The parchment paper is definitely something I would recommend to others too! Rating: 5/5 Conclusion Normally I like to write longer reviews but there isn't a whole lot I can say about the pizza oven because it does everything so well that I've already covered it.  I do wish the pizza peel/scraper came with the pizza oven.  I had a different pizza oven that came with one so this one not doing so is rather odd to me.  You'll absolutely need one, luckily the one I had worked fine for this one, although it is a bit smaller than this pizza oven so I'll probably get the official Ninja one for this pizza oven.  Also, a cover & the adjustable stand/table will be additional costs, so by the time you are all said and done (pizza peel, cover, stand, and oven) we'll be into this for over $400.  That is a rather steep price now that I am typing it all out.  Is the oven worth that when I feel they should have included some of that from the get go?  No, I think it should have came with the pizza peeler like I said, and even the cover too.  Especially for the price.  So the oven & the stand is all I should have really had to buy to complete the whole set.  But even then I must say that the pizzas do turn out fantastic, it is just something to be mindful of when going down this pizza oven route! With the Ninja Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven, I may try to get our made at home pizzas reviewed because we are out here cooking solid eight pluses, which we all know is a super generous score. The Ninja Artisan is a great investment for any family that is simple to use and provides wonderful opportunities for family and friends to bond. It is a powerhouse that is sleekly designed for flavor, speed, and serious versatility. Out of the box, the unit feels like it is well crafted with solid materials that will allow it to be durable and weather resistant. I like the color scheme as well. I had hoped this would be usable indoors, too, but I would not recommend it after using this product. The cooking oven comes with a pizza cooking stone and a baking tray. I will be ordering a cover at some point and a pizza peeler because I have watched enough videos that make me feel like I need one. We have really enjoyed the cooking experience the Ninja Artisan has provided for our family. We have had several outdoor pizza making events already. We were able to get some recipes from the included booklet and from online material. The unit's versatility is a real plus, and we've found that, as simple as it sounds, prepping dough from scratch nets the best results. The unit has a prove feature that helps. The first couple of tries were relatively successful, but we have learned that due to the limited size and searing internal heat, some burning is perfectly normal. As much as I wanted to “Par-Bake” like New York Italian pizzerias do, the start-to-finish time combined with the convection-like cooking the Artisan delivers, there really is no need, even when including heavier ingredients. We have also made a few other items, such as chicken tenders and pork chops, and the unit did not miss. Bottom line, when it comes to outdoor events, the Ninja Artisan pizza oven should be included. The oven delivers a fast and professional result every time. It's quick, fun, and will be a conversation piece for everyone.

Overall this represents the standard Ninja excellence we’ve come to enjoy from this company. The attention to detail on the system is spot on with a significantly heavy door that does well to insulate the oven once closed. General setup is easy and you’ll most likely want an outdoor extension cord as the attached cord is short which is fairly standard with a GFCI plug-in. The included pizza stone and space is sufficient for 12” pizzas but you have to be spot on loading the pizza (purchasing a peel or the accessory package is helpful here.) If you’re newer to loading pizzas I’d start with 10” pizzas just because it gives you more room to maneuver but just watch your time as it will be a bit shorter. Various settings help dictate the temperature you’re going to be running with the Neapolitan setting letting you achieve that high temp, quick fire crisp crust. It will take a while for it to preheat to that level, but most will be used to that anyways if you’ve ever prepped a pizza stone in a standard oven. In the end it turned out awesome little pizzas. It’s basically a more convenient way to achieve something that approaches 90% of the taste/texture of a big wood fired pizza oven. There’s certainly a little more flavor imparted into the crust with those larger ovens, but being able to do this in my backyard, take everyone’s personally made pizza, and pop them in and out one by one where the first one is just about cool enough to eat as I hit the third one is worth it to me. Overall taste and texture is still there, still get the nicely crisp bottom and the little charred bubbles in the top of the crust. Delicious!

High quality, easy oven, but pizza takes practice

Few things taste as good as a freshly-fired pizza from your favorite local joint. If you, like me, were curious about replicating this experience at home this summer, you've probably looked at one of the many wood-fired pizza ovens available for home use. If you, also like me, live in an apartment, you probably immediately dismissed the idea of a wood (or gas) oven for any number of reasons. Ninja's burgeoning line of outdoor cooking appliances aim to offer the same cooking experience using electricity, and when I saw they'd developed a pizza oven, I jumped at the chance to try it out. I've heard great things from my friends who have pizza ovens, and the idea that it's at least marginally portable gave me hope it might work in an apartment situation. The Artisan Pizza Oven arrived in typical Ninja fashion, which is to say a large box with splashy graphics advertising the machine inside, and an unfortunate amount of styrofoam and plastic wrapping. Everything was tightly packed, though, and the included pizza stone was safely nestled where it couldn't be broken. The Oven itself is on the heftier side at 30 lbs or so, but the weight is fairly balanced and the metal is a matte finish so it's easy to grip and lift. I was immediately impressed by the quality Ninja went with here: the bulk of the oven is metal, with a nice gray color on the body and stainless on the door. The legs and control panel are black plastic, but high-quality, and the cord is nice and thick with a GFI built into the end for safety. The inside of the oven is gleaming, shiny stainless, although that'll change pretty quickly on first use. This particular model includes a 12" square pizza stone -- again, high quality -- and a nice metal roasting pan as well. Ninja appears to offer a line of accessories to go with the oven to help you get it set up and use it the way you want to. The only must-have is a good pizza peel to transfer your creations into and out of the oven; you'll want to pay close attention to the internal oven dimensions, though, as the peel has to fit in easily. The stone is exactly 12" wide and there's only a small bit of space on either side for the peel. Setup is very straightforward with no assembly. The first thing you'll want to do is identify a hard, stable surface to place the oven on. Although it reaches 700 degrees internally, the bottom of the oven and the legs stay very cool, so I wouldn't worry too much about melting or burning anything (so long as it's not touching the metal directly). In my case I found a folding metal camp table that fit the oven perfectly and folds completely flat for storage. Ninja includes both an instruction manual and a quick start guide full of recipes to get you going and I highly recommend reading both. As it uses electricity you just plug it in and select your settings using the buttons and knob on the front. I decided to try the classic Neapolitan recipe, which should give a nicely crisped bottom crust with lots of big air bubbles and a soft inner. The recipe book is pretty specific about preparing your pizza so it's ready to go in immediately, so I definitely recommend setting the oven to preheat before you take anything out and get cooking. It takes 20-25 minutes, depending on your heat settings; this is helpfully laid out in the included documentation. I tested this unit with my mom, so we each made a pizza using chilled dough from the store and a mix of fresh ingredients: pepperoni and shredded cheese for her, sliced mozzarella and sauce for me. I'll be honest, this first round was a great learning experience, and you should be prepared to make mistakes. Our first mistake was prepping our pizzas at the same time; her pizza went in first and turned out just like the photo in the book, while mine sat for just a few extra minutes and as a result stuck to both the peel and the stone. She used an appropriate amount of sauce, while I used too much; this not only made the dough stickier, but ran off the edges and caused quite the burnt mess while cooking. In the end, we had one soft yet crispy Neapolitan pizza, complete with scorch marks and bubbles, and one wrinkled, lumpy, watery mess. The "perfect" pizza tasted amazing, nearly as good as something you'd get in a restaurant; the messy pizza was still surprisingly edible, but definitely not something you'd want to serve to others. After finishing we let the Ninja oven cool overnight so I could clean it safely. The pizza stone definitely has some big burn marks on it, but the soot brushed off easily. I was also able to get the melted cheese and sauce off the door with just a few sprays of all-purpose cleaning solution, which I attribute to the glass and shiny metal construction. After cleaning comes storage, and I'm happy to say the Artisan Pizza Oven stores neatly standing up on its back legs. The cord wraps around easily and clips to itself, and I was able to place the instructions, pizza stone and baking pan in a soft fabric storage bag and put them right inside the oven. I wouldn't transport it this way, but for sitting on the closet floor it's worked out great and doesn't take up nearly as much space as I feared it might. Overall, the Ninja Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven is a high-quality appliance purpose-built for cooking pizza, with the ability to proof bread or broil/sear meat with the proper accessories. Actually making pizza requires planning and practice, but once the oven is hot it can cook quickly back-to-back, which is perfect for a build your own pizza party. The oven stores neatly and since it uses electricity there's not wood or gas to mess around with, ideal for apartment living. If artisan pizzas at home sound like your thing, I highly recommend giving this oven a try.

Hello friends and welcome to my review of the new Ninja - Artisan outdoor pizza oven. I want to start by going over a few things I think are good about this unit before explaining why I don't recommend this unit. First off the oven is Ninja quality it appears. It is built like there other appliances with plastic and metal parts thru-out. The inside is polished stainless steel and looks nice right out of the box. The control panel is crisp and clean and works as it should. The display is easy to see in most any light situation. And it does get hot when you turn it on, preheats pretty quick as well. Secondly I want to say that the recipes for dough and basic pies is really good. I tried making garlic knots from the recipe book and they turned out good. The dough recipe that I tried making twice, both times worked well. A little better than the dough I have been making for years in a bread machine. So I was surprised by what followed after this. This unit is a base model, and has no accessories. There is no pizza peel, or stand. Both of these items are needed to use this pizza oven. So if you need those items, pick some other pizza oven kit. Also if you are a rookie at making pizzas, maybe pass on this one. During my first pizza attempt I managed to spill toppings in to the oven. On my second attempt I did the same thing. The unit is small and there is little room for error . Then the unit says wait for it to cool before cleaning. I did that and then the spilled toppings turned to concrete inside. The unit says to not use anything metal to clean it or the stone. Also don't use water or soap. That is fine except it doesn't work at all to remove anything. I tried everything including a chunk of hardwood to scrape out the burned on stuff. Nothing worked, until I used a metal object to scrape it off. Same issue with the stone nothing would touch the burned on stuff except a razor blade. As if that were not enough to make someone pass on buying this. The learning curve for this unit is out of this world hard. The recipe book makes little to no sense on how to go about using this thing. It's supposed to be easy but it's a giant pain! The instructions do warn you about things that are easy to mess up. However they fail to mention how horrible it is to figure out and how messy it really is. So impossible to clean, hard to use and overall just not fun. I wanted to like this oven and bake pizzas all summer. Unfortunately, it has failed miserably in my opinion. So i do not recommend this to anyone.
