Blender Review:
I’ve been making smoothies for a long time. I typically use a popular plug-in blender designed for smoothies. I like this blender but it’s certainly not portable. This Ninja blender caught my attention with its size and battery power. Typically, I make my smoothies at home, pour them into a container and drink them at work. I’ve read that I should be drinking the smoothie right after blending for best nutritional value. With this blender, I can add ingredients and blend at work so I get the best nutrition in my drink.
Thinks I like about the Ninja Blast:
(1) It is portable. It’s not the smallest blender but it’s easy enough to tote to work and back.
(2) The battery charges quickly. In just a few hours it was fully charged. I can plug it in when I get home from work and its full before I go to bed. Even better, the battery will last all week for me with one blend per day. After my first blend, I plugged it in to recharge and the charge indicator said it was still full and didn't need to be recharged.
(3) Click lock is great. Connecting the cup to the base is as simple as putting them together and twisting until you hear a noticeable click. Turning the cup is very easy as there is very little resistance. I’ve had other blenders that are much more difficult to lock together.
(4) Cleanup is easy. Rinse the cup, add a drop of dish soap and fill halfway with water. Put on the top, connect the cup to the base and run a blend cycle. Take it apart and rinse again and it’s clean.
(5) It blends well most of the time. I did have an issue when adding my protein powder. This protein powder thickens the smoothie considerably and can prevent ingredients from being fully blended (ie – chunky drink). I have to add that ingredient after I do an initial blend.
Things that could be improved:
(A) The letters on the buttons are hard to read with my older eyes. There could certainly be more contrast between the grey letters and the grey buttons. White letters would be great.
(B) It’s not super loud, but it’s not quiet either. People in the office know when I’m blending.
(C) The base is a little heavy making it a little less portable than it could be, but I guess that is the price you pay for its excellent battery life.
(D) It would be nice if there was an actual battery meter that tells me how full the battery is. The power button will display green if the battery is charged or red if it’s low. There are 3 LEDs around the power button that could be used to indicate battery level when the unit is turned on.
(E) It would be nice if it could be charged using a USB C cable. Instead, it has an old-fashioned wall charger with a small tube-like connector.
I tend to use a lot of ingredients in my smoothies, so I need to adjust for this size container. So far, I made one smoothie that blended great and another that was quite chucky. I believe the chunky smoothie was caused by a combination of over filling the cup (see the photos I've added) and adding a protein powder that quickly thickens the drink making it difficult to blend. As with any appliance, there is a learning curve. Once I figure it out, I know it will make great drinks.
All in all, I really do like this blender. It will likely become my “go to”. I don’t really have any dislikes. It’s more like ideas for improvement. Looking forward to using it more.

The Ninja Blast is one of the most unique blenders I’ve ever had the chance to use! Its size is perfect for making personal smoothies, shakes, or juices, and the blender is portable! Yes, portable! The blender base is battery powered, which means you can theoretically blend things anywhere you go! In terms of blending capabilities, the blender can blend anything you give it with ease; it is a very standard blender in that regard! It has 3 blend modes to help you get the perfect blend of your liking which is nice, and it is also very easy to clean, by simply adding soap and water, blending, and rinsing. I love the travel “blender-bottle” form factor as well, as it’s the perfect size to hold a smoothie, and is reliable for travel with a built-in “sip lid”!
Something to note with this blender is that I can’t personally think of many real use cases where I would need to blend something while out and about (maybe for camping/road trips it would be useful?). I also can’t say I would feel comfortable using the blender “on the go”; I would say that likely 100% of the time I would prefer to pre-blend my smoothies at home, then take the travel blender bottle to go. I think this blender is great for use at home though, and it is nice to not have to worry about cords and cables while using (although, something you may want to be wary of is that if you don’t hold the blender down while in use, it can start to spin and move on its own, which may be dangerous if unattended!).

I used to make smoothies and juices on a regular basis but not nearly as much as I do now with this portable blender. It is small enough to fit in the sleeve of my backpack or in the cup holder of my car so I take this to work with me everyday and have my morning protein shake already blended. I have not had to bring the base but the base is also very portable and provides enough power to cut through frozen fruits without leaving chunks behind. The 22 ounces that it holds is also enough to fuel me through the morning and sometimes through the evening. I have not traveled with this yet but I plan on taking it on my next trip and throwing it in my luggage so I can make my smoothies on the go. There are only 3 settings which are crush, blend, and smoothie. I found that to be sufficient with such a small form factor. This blender is mainly marketed towards its portability and it is exactly that: Portable. You just twist it off the base, grab onto the carry handle, and drink straight from the cup. The cup feels like hard plastic so I would imagine minimal damage if accidentally dropped from low height so that offers peace of mind while carrying around everywhere.

The 22-ounce portable Ninja-Blast Blender is a nice little device but it has it’s shortcomings. The first one is the size which 22oz is okay for one person however i think they should offer one that is 36oz big enough for two people. I really like the Ninja Blast unfortunately for me it overheats when I make shakes with it using ice cream straight out of the fridge. When that happens three orange lights come on and you have to wait 60 minutes. I love that I can take it with me though and that it is battery-powered. This little blender is very powerful and while I tried it on Smoothie it seemed to have a feature that would automatically pause it to let things settle for a second and restart like pulse mode on a regular blender. The Ninja Blast will take some getting used to in order to see what works and what doesn’t but that does not bother me. I will adjust my ingredients appropriately in order to get the best use out of it just because I like it so much. I may let my ice cream sit a minute before blending it with milk. I do think it will work perfectly fine for most use cases. Ice cream scoops always seem to sit on top and in most blenders requiring some spoon assistance. I think I have become somewhat spoiled by my full-sized 64oz Ninja Blender that churns through whatever I throw at it. This product is definitely well made like all Ninja products I have used and I can’t wait to take it with me on the road to create some delicious treats. It is very simple to use with a center power button then your Blend, Crush and Smoothie modes. The Ninja Blast feels substantial and high quality and I can not wait to try many different recipes with it. Now I can make shakes and smoothies anywhere and that’s awesome. I would definitely recommend it, but I don’t expect it to keep up with your full-sized plug in Ninja Blender.

The Ninja Blast Max is a nice little portable blender that saves space and time making a single smoothie. This 22oz blender is great to use on a time crunch and the blender doubles as a cup so there’s less to wash all said and done. You can basically blend and go! It’s got more pros than cons for sure.
We make smoothies at home with milk, frozen berries, bananas, protein powder, and peanut butter. There are instructions I followed for the order of the ingredients in the cup and I found that the Blast Max did a good job of blending everything smoothly. The 3 buttons are easy to use. The “Smoothie” and “Crush” modes do a good job of automatically pulsing in certain patterns for the best blend. The “Blend” mode is a steady 30-second blend which is also used for the quick clean. The one thing I didn’t like about this blender cup is the placement of the lid. It does “lock” in an upright position, but it’s a little awkward to have it right in my face when I drink from the cup.
The cleanup on the Ninja Blast Max is better than cleaning a traditional blender. It never really felt worth it to bust out the big blender and make multiple dishes to clean for a single smoothie. I like that you can do a quick clean on the Blast Max with some warm water and dish soap. The cup and lid are supposedly dishwasher safe, but the instructions say not to use the heat dry setting and I don’t want to turn off heat dry for my whole load. I’d rather not risk ruining my new blender so I’m just washing it by hand for now.
The Ninja Blast Max portable blender is great for its compact design, easy cleanup, and portability. Overall it does meet the expectations of quickness and portability but I’d like a different design for the lid and handle.

I had no idea how much I'd enjoy using a personal blended. I've used a full size blender at home, of course, but I had no idea how much I'd enjoy a portable model. It's great! Versatile. Fun. And money saving. I love it.
Getting it out of the box was pretty easy and setup was even easier. I charged the base up, washed the components in the sink, and then went to the fridge to see what I had to make my first smoothy. As it turned out, I didn't have much, but kale and carrots are pretty good in my book and I was just trying it out. I added water to the minimum water marker, then kale and carrots. The carrots pureed nicely, the kale less so, but the drink as a whole was good and I was intrigued.
The next day I went to the market and I got a frozen berry package, Greek yogurt, and some bananas. It was great! Then my coworker, who swears by her personal blender, offered me some powdered vegetable protein and I haven't looked back. I've experimented with fruits, vegetables, protein powders and more. I have added exercise to my days, and I've been losing weight (which I needed to do), feeling sharper, and feeling more energetic.
I rated the blender 5 stars because I love it, but there are some weaknesses, I think. The main one is how long it takes to charge. It takes a while. I also really wish that it came with an insulated bag to hold the whole thing. Ninja offers online recipes through their website, but they're pretty boring and I found more interesting recipes searching the web.
Even with the weaknesses, I love the blender! I use it daily. I had no idea how much I needed one. I recommend it to family and friends.

Love my Ninja Blast portable blender. It is used almost daily. It’s easy, and noise level is minimal compared to larger blenders! It keeps the charge for an impressive amount of time, then recharge time is quick!

My Ninja Blast Max Portable Blender works great. It is powerful and has perfectly blended every type of smoothie or milkshake I have made so far. The blades are super sharp. I accidentally cut my index finger the first time washing the twist-and-go vessel by hand. I am pleased with the battery life. Only need to charge it every 10 days or so.

The Ninja Blast has several convenient features. I like that I can prep ingredients ahead of time, take it with me, and blend later so everything stays fresh. For such a compact blender, the power is surprisingly strong. That said, when blending frozen ingredients, it’s best to add some liquid and give it a quick shake beforehand, otherwise it can get stuck

Good blender. Really enjoy the design. I use it every morning on my commute to work. Has no problem blending frozen fruits and ice and even peanut butter. Sometimes it can take a few cycles and a lot of shaking to help move the ingredients around but it really blends. The removable base is definitely my favorite feature.
My one gripe with this product though is its proprietary charger, it’s 2024. C’mon Ninja what are you doing. USB-C is in everything now. Really draws back from the portability, for me, if I have to lug around a special charger for this blender too, let alone if it gets lost or find out the blender is dead and I don’t have the charger with me. Though the battery seems to last a good bit anyways but still..Other than that it’s a great choice for people on the go, the base can even double as a paper weight.

This baby is a monster. I had the one below this and decided to upgrade to the Max. Best decision! Love how I don't have to lug the whole unit around if I don't need to and more space to have more. Also the blending of the unit seems to me be a lot more powerful, not as much stopping because some frozen fruit got stuck. 5 out of 5 or 10 out of 10 stars.

I have both Ninja blenders. One with the square button and this one. I love this one more. Mines in a Pink color. Highly recommend. I have put ice on the bottom first which you sent supposed to do. No issues in grinding it up made smoothies and slushies and adult drinks in it as well. In my opinion best single serve blender out there.

I love it!! it is great for traveling or work. very easy to use and blends anything perfectly to the mode you put it in. Easy to carry. big enough for any drink and small enough to carry anywhere.

First impression matters. I like the color and compact size. Very easy to use, and what makes this unit so much better is that it's portable, which means more natural fruit drinks and smoothies. I already have family members who will want this unit as a present.

I love this portable blender! I use it every day with ease. It is very powerful. I put whole strawberries along with other fruit in and it easily breaks them down into a smoothie.

I like it because is portable, has 3 settings and one charge will last up to 12 smoothies. The only thing i dont like is the base is kind of big.
I would recommend this to a friend
