So admittedly I probably have two blenders, a couple of the cup type blenders, and a food processor that I felt a sigh of relief when I could replace all of them with this singular setup. Having the single base means I can put it in an out of the way corner of my countertop and simply slot in whatever blending device I want to use. The bottom of the blending unit has suction cup feet which prevents any tipping when I'm going a little crazy with the contents. (Key tip: The handle of the blending attachments faces towards you when you set it on the base and then turns to the left to lock.)
Overall, it's a great setup. The three blending attachments I keep in a cupboard underneath, the main blending unit on the counter so I don't have to drag it in and out. Each of the attachment pieces has a separated blade so you can easily clean it in the dishwasher and never have to worry about running a brush down into a blender jar with the blades at the bottom.
Performance was on par with my best blender and I was able to quickly whip up my standard smoothie with ice cubes and even tested crushing ice into a snow-cone like consistency. Power was definitely sufficient to power through the ice and the blendsense detection worked pretty well to determine how I might want my contents blended. I did appreciate the capability to switch over to manual mode though just in case I wanted to do things a little differently.

The Ninja Detect Kitchen System Power Blender + Food Processor Pro is hands down the most versatile kitchen appliance I’ve ever owned. Honestly, it feels like it does everything but tuck me in at night. From smoothies to salsa, dough to dips, this machine handles it all with ease.
What really sets it apart is the BlendSense Technology, it automatically detects what you’re making and adjusts the speed and power for the perfect consistency. No more guessing or fiddling with settings; it’s like having a built-in chef that knows exactly what you need. The food processor attachment chops, slices, and purees like a pro, while the to-go cup is a lifesaver for quick morning smoothies when I’m heading out the door.
Power is no issue either, this thing crushes ice into snow in seconds and blends even the toughest ingredients into silky smooth results. Cleanup is a breeze since the parts are dishwasher safe, which makes using it every day totally hassle-free.
If you want a single appliance that can replace half the gadgets cluttering your kitchen, this is it. Sleek, powerful, smart, and reliable. Ninja really knocked it out of the park with this system.

This is my first small kitchen appliance from Ninja, and I like that it’s an all-in-one device that can do the job of three “single function” appliances. It comes with a full-size 72oz blender pitcher, a food processing bowl with chopping blades, dough blades, and slicer/shredder disc, and a single-serve 24oz blender cup. All these vessels can be quickly installed via twist-to-lock into the same 1800 Watt motor base saving me space on the countertop and in my cabinets when storing. The base has a bright and colorful display in the push-to-start control dial for choosing settings for different modes. Suction cups on its bottom keep the base firmly adhered to my work surface, even during high-speed blending, though make it a little tricky to move around often as I have unstick it first.
The personal blender cup is perfect for making smoothies and pulverizing small quantities fruit and vegetables for salsa, chutneys, and dips. Just remember to add your liquids like milk and yogurt to the cup first then stack up your other ingredients in order of firmness: veggies, fruit, powders, nuts/seeds, then finally frozen ingredients and sweeteners on top, as these will end up closest to the blades when you flip the cup over for a more thorough and consistent blend.
For the cup, you can use the BlendSense mode or Manual mode with Low, Medium, or High speed selections. I mostly used BlendSense which is a one-touch automated program that detects the texture and consistency of your ingredients in the first few seconds to determine speed, pattern, and timing for a smooth, creamy result. Blend times can vary from 30 seconds up to nearly 2 minutes with a countdown appearing on the display. At the end of the program, the machine simply stops; there is no audible beeping or additional notification. While this mode works pretty great, if you don’t fill the cup to the max line, some ingredients may splash to the top and not settle back down to get mixed in, so afterwards you may have to shake the cup and blend briefly a second time.
Included is a pour top that also lets you use the 24oz cup as a sports bottle since it is leak-proof. When pouring or drinking from it, the lid folds flat and snaps in out of the way. The blades for this cup are integrated into its twist-off base, and while I liked that the threads are on the interior of the cup’s rim, rather than the exterior, they tend to trap small seeds and fibers and require a brush for cleaning. There are a few things you shouldn’t blend in the cup like hot foods or liquids and very hard ingredients without liquid e.g. uncooked rice and grains. You’ll also want to remove the blades and empty the cup or install the pour cap immediately after blending to prevent the buildup of pressure (or vacuum) which could damage the cup.
For hot foods, you’ll want to use the large pitcher as it isn’t 100% sealed and can let out excess pressure and steam. The lid clicks and locks into place, so there’s no chance of it “popping off” during blending. However, it is not leak-proof from the pour spout, so care must be taken to not tip or tilt it with liquid inside. I found this vessel suitable for making silky smooth purees for soups, crushing ice for large batch frozen drinks, and even making nut milks and butters. The tall, six-blade spindle is removable, however, it must be installed before you put any food in the pitcher in order to seat correctly. Also, remember to remove the blades before pouring its contents out with the lid off or the blades will drop out!
The sharp stacked blades are spaced somewhat close together though and scraping off sticky foods, purees, and batter can be a bit laborious. The lid for the pitcher has a pop-up handle that only folds flat when attached to the pitcher. This helps remind you to always store the lid on the pitcher so that the sharp blades and secured within.
In additional to BlendSense, there is manual control available with 10 speeds. You can adjust the speed at any time during blending by turning the control dial, and its recommended to start at low-speed then ramp up as needed. In manual mode, the machine will shut off automatically after 60 seconds of cumulative run-time regardless of speed changes in order to avoid overheating the motor. There are also pre-sets for large/small chop, mince, and a pulse button for manually blending in short bursts.
The food processor bowl of this machine is a welcome addition, as it eliminates the need for the standalone unit that I have. It has a 64oz capacity and can chop, mince, slice, and shred cheese or vegetables and even meat, as well as make up to 2 lbs of dough for bread, pastries, cookies, and even pasta with the dough blades. It makes short work of all these activities saving me a bunch of time and effort. The feed chute is a little narrow though, measuring just 2.75” L x 1.75” W.
An additional mode for “disc” appears on the menu when using this attachment. However, I did have one issue when shredding a semi-soft block of cheese; as it reached the bottom of the feed chute some cheese balled up on top of the disc and tilted the blade high enough so that the blade struck the bottom of the plastic pusher resulting in several gouges in concentric arcs carved into the textured grip on the bottom of the pusher. I definitely ended up with a couple tiny plastic shards in my food, so that is one drawback of having a “loose” spindle in the vessel, since the disc blade may not always stay completely level and flat.
I did try out the pizza roll recipe in the instruction manual, though I found that the dough was not ideal for a stuffed pastry as it was much too bready. The accompanying photo, while lovely, also did not match the actual description of how to fold and shape the pizza rolls and felt slightly misleading.
Overall, the Ninja Detect Kitchen System is a versatile multi-purpose small kitchen appliance that combines a full-size and personal blender with a food processor to chop, shred, blend, puree, and pulverize. It’s space-saving and powerful and delivers smooth results with speed and consistency. Cleanup is quite simple and often I just add a bit of water and dish soap to the vessels and blend for 30 seconds to pre-wash. Just be wary that the disc blade has the potential to tilt and strike the pusher if too much food builds up on top of it, and be extra careful when cleaning or scraping food from the blade attachments as they are very sharp. All parts except the motor base are top-rack dishwasher safe as long as heated dry is not used.

I selected this for my wife, she’s been making protein smoothies lately to help balance her macronutrients. She has a stick blender but it’s messy and doesn’t always blend the ingredients fully. She also loves to bake so I thought the food processor bowl would be useful for her.
First off, I’m going to warn you that the blades included in this product are SHARP! Like samurai katana sharp. The instructions caution you to use a washing brush with a handle to keep yourself clear of the blade for good reason. So, after we patched the wife up, she made a smoothie with the included cup. Ingredients, including some fruit she added, were fully blended. No missed chunky bits. The cup includes a lid with a flip cap to use like a travel mug. She doesn’t really care for the lid, it doesn’t have a vent hole so it’s hard to drink out of it. It’s ok to pour from if you don’t pour too fast.
Next up, she processed two packs of cookies to make cookie bars. She ran the first package on small chop, the pieces came out with small bits and finer. She switched to mince and it produces a finer chop as you would expect. For the second package, she went with the BlendSense option. After the initial sensing, it went to Max-Crush and produced the finest grind. I’ll attach photos so you can see the results.
I will say, this machine is as loud as the other blenders or food processors we’ve had. It is not a quiet machine.
It does have a beautiful display/control knob on it that we found intuitive to use.
There are suction cups on the bottom to keep it firmly in place when you’re operating it.
It’s able to detect if you have the pitcher, the bowl, or the cup installed so you can access the right modes for the accessory you have on it.
One thing the wife pointed out- the underside of the accessories has some small cavities that are difficult to hand wash and fairly impossible to dry. The instructions say they are ok to wash in the top rack of the dishwasher with NO heated dry cycle. Since the cavities are open, they do air dry fine.
We haven’t tried the dough blade or the slicing/shredding disc yet.

THE Food Processor, NOT Just A Slicer/Chopper!

There is a question you need to ask yourself prior to buying a food processor: Do you want an actual food processor or do you just want something to chop/slice things? If you answer the later, you can go out and buy any "food processor", even one of the really nice ones I already have on my counter. If you want a REAL food processor, one that can do it all from slicing, dicing, blending, crushing, mixing, and sometimes all of the above, you NEED the Ninja Detect Power Kitchen System Pro.
I've always been a cook but COVID turned me into a chef. I had nothing better to do than learn techniques, ingredients, tastes and come up with some really nice stuff. Heck, even when I'm just following a recipe off of the internet, I usually make tweaks here and there that take things from good to 'wow that's good'. My wife is a physician and while COVID really was hard on her and her colleagues, they all agree that they got lucky that I picked up doing some serious cooking during the lockdowns.
I make everything from seven different pasta sauces, salad dressings, salsa, dips, marinades, as well as tons of other things, but a food processor has vastly improved my process and cut down the time required. The Ninja Detect System is going to make my process even more streamlined and time-saving!
I'm only going to talk about one of my personal favorite things to make, salsa, because it was the first thing I made with the Ninja and it turned out phenomenal. I can eat chips and salsa all the time, and I probably have it as a lunch 2-3 days a week. I have one salsa that I just call my 'House Salsa' and it's great. The Ninja just made it awesome. The key I've found is the double-decker chopping blade which is much different than the single blade that my so-called 'professional' processor has. The reason why this is key is that it can chop and incorporate all of the ingredients faster and more thoroughly, without me having to keep blasting it for almost twice as long. A side-effect of all the extra time processing in my old processor is that it actually heats up quite a bit and almost cooks the ingredients. Here, I got a perfect chunky puree which I was then able to put 1/3rd of into the blender attachment and turn into a smooth puree. When combined, the two make the best version of my salsa I've ever done. Perfect texture, flavor, and taste.
Seeing this work so well for my salsa has got me itching to make my homemade pesto, because the more rapid and through chop of the Ninja will help keep from building up heat that takes away from the fresh basil flavor. It is usually one of those that has to go for a while to properly come together because I use cashews in my pesto recipe instead of pine nuts (it tastes far superior in my opinion, and BTW macadamia nuts are also really good), but because of their size and bulk compared to pine nuts it takes a while for my old processor to pull everything together. I was having to do two separate runs to do the nuts and then add those while doing the basil and oil. The problem is, I feel that mixing/chopping things all together is better than mixing. Some magic happens when all of the ingredients are together and getting processed at the same time. It might not, but it certainly tastes that way to me.
Anyway, this was a long review that perhaps didn't go into the nuts and bolts of the system, but already, just using the main bowl/blade combo and the blender attachment has won me over and made the Ninja the star of my kitchen counter. Ooh! I almost forgot! The Ninja has suction cups for feet on the base! I had no clue until I tried to move the Ninja and it wouldn't budge. This is really a great addition and so is the gasketed lid to the main chopping bowl. Little touches like that, kind of like my recipes, take good to GREAT.
If you want to up your game in the kitchen and don't mind trading extra dishwashing (my only complaint) for some extra tasty food, do yourself a favor and buy the Ninja Detect Power Kitchen System Pro.

Great controls and cool intelligence produced excellent results for me in this full featured blender/food processor appliance.
Design
The Detect Power Kitchen System Blender and Processor Pro is all black with silver trim. I like the look of the rounded corners. There are suction cups on the bottom to keep it from moving when you use it. There's a prominent Ninja logo on the front of the base unit. Below that there are 5 buttons; Power, Manual, BlendSense, Mode, and Pulse. Below those buttons there is a large dial that's also a button. It includes a 72oz pitcher (64oz max liquid capacity), a 64oz food processor bowl that can handle up to 2 lbs. of dough, and a 21oz single server cup (21oz max liquid capacity). The pitcher has a pour spout and there's a nice lid for the single serve cup which also had a closing spout. The blades for the blending pitcher and the bowl for the processor both have the blades anchored at the top and the bottom. If you take off the lids and pour, the blades will fall out, so make sure to remove them before pouring if you take the lid off. They do come out very easily. The processor bowl includes an opening like you would expect to see on a food processor as well as a pusher to push items down. There's a blade insert, insert for kneading bread, and a disc for shredding and slicing - put it in one way to shred and flip it over to slice. The manual comes with some recipes, done nicely with color pictures. It is made to detect Torque, Ice, Portion, and Liquid as part of the BlendSense technology.
Controls
I love the controls on this! After turning it on, you will have four options, Manual, BlendSense, Mode, and Pulse. It goes to BlendSense by default when you turn it on and you can just press the dial to start. There is a beautiful and bright display inside the large dial. I found it very easy to read and use. Parts of it illuminate as needed. Turning the dial has a great feel as you feel the slight bump from option to option, making selection with the dial easy. Once you're on the option you want, just press the dial in to start blending. If it's doing BlendSense it will run for a short time to detect what's in and/or how to blend. To use the food processor you may want to use one of the Mode settings, which are for that, or you can use Manual. Under Mode there's are settings for Disc (used for slicing or grating), Mince, Small Chop, or Large Chop. The options under Manual are Low, Medium, and High. Again, I really like the feel of the dial as you turn it and pressing it is very easy and works well - not too easy but well designed to require enough force that you will not press it by accident. The dial is the start/stop button for all settings. There is, of course, the Pulse button too which works as you would expect.
Blending and the Processor
With an 1800 watt motor and the three sets of blades going at once, I don't imagine that this would have a hard time blending anything. It worked great for me as I was using it. I started with a quick and easy milk shake in the single serving cup. I made it very quick and easy one that tasted excellent! I just put three scoops of ice cream and a large banana in it. I used the BlendSense setting, which is the default, and before I knew it had great, very uniformly blended smoothy with no chunks of banana in it. Again, this was in the Single Serving cup which has it's own blade assembly, not the three sets up the middle like the blade for the pitcher. Something more interesting I made was an oat-nut butter in the Processor Bowl. It had oats, walnuts, coconut oil, avocado oil, cinnamon, and vanilla. This took some time because I hadn't made it before and kept needing to add more oil. At first, the oats and nuts would just get stuck along the side. So it was a lot of stop and go to push everything off the sides of the bowl. The blades do go pretty close to the side but there are four vertical bumps that come inward which I'm sure help for most things you use the processor for, but for this it gave just a bit more room for things to get stuck on the side. Like I said, adding oil definitely helped. Did it end up too oily? Not at all! The result was actually excellent. It made an uniformly ground oat-nut butter with wonderful flavor! I'll be making that again for sure! It not only taste great but was very spreadable. After making it I looked at the manual a bit and found that 1/4 cup of oil was recommended for making nut butters. I think starting with 1/4 cup of oil would have made it much easier to make. I also used the disc to grate a block of mozzarella. I just put in parts of the block down the shoot at a time, using the pusher and the "Disc" Mode setting. It went through the cheese very quickly and produced very nicely grated cheese. I was left with a few small pieces at the top but nothing that I didn't think was acceptable. The cheese was grated thinner than what I usually do with a hand grater but the size is perfect for me. I included a picture of the grated mozzarella so you can hopefully get an idea. I also used the standard pitcher to make a fruit smoothy. I used a mix of many different frozen fruits, most all together in a bag that was made for that, but with additional blueberries. Again, this didn't take long to make, I just used the BlendSense and let it do its thing. It ran the short detection and then started blending. It did its thing and finished with another uniformly blended smoothy. While there is nothing hard about doing that, I want to re-iterate that you turn the thing on and the default setting is "BlendSense". At that point all you do is press the Dial to start and then you can watch a nice timer on the screen. It is easy, I like having the timer, and the results were great each time.
Summary
I'm impressed by the Detect Power Kitchen System Pro. The blender is top notch as far as I can tell. The BlendSense technology is something I will probably use most if not all the time rather than the low, medium, and high settings. It's just so quick and easy. When you do need settings though, I love the button and dial combination of control. I'm not sure I would love it except that the screen is so good! Not just the text in it but you will see different colors around the outside for different settings. I was thinking the processor may be a poor quality add-on to check the box but that wasn't very capable. I feel like it worked very well and could totally be used in place of a food processor in most if not all situations. I did have a hard time cleaning the nut butter out from under the middle post, it was stuck up inside the middle post. They've made it as easy as possible by having it all well sealed but even with the rounded corners of the start inside that post, it was difficult to clean. I think that was due to the combination of how long I had to blend for the nut butter and the consistency of it that made it hard to get it out of that star inside the middle post. My only other comment on cleaning is they have a safety setup so that you need to have the lid on the pitcher or the bowl before it will run. to do that there is a mechanism that runs through the handle. In cleaning I had water get into the handle. That's a bit disappointing but, not a huge issue. It does seem to eventually dry out, at least mostly. Still, for me those are minor issues and the functions this provides as well as how well it does them make it a Blending/Food Processor system that I would totally recommend.

Great size for big and small kitchens. Coming from a bullet and hand shaker, this is a nice change of pace. More options and choices but I mainly use the blender for now.
You do get a 24oz blended cup and it blends right into the cup using the one base machine.
I made a protein shake with kale and also a strawberry smoothie with granola. Both had a smooth texture, wasn’t to watery. Nothing lumpy with the kale mix either.
What’s so simple is the blend sense because this gives you more control like with speed control and modes. There is a manual mode and that is what I used since I only made simple smoothies.
The biggest fun however is the blend sense technology altogether. If you are having a family gathering, this blender will get the job done.
I look forward to making frozen smoothies. It has an ice detector so if the blend sense detects a lot of ice or say like frozen fruit, it will automatically add power while blending.
This blender has it all. It comes with a 8 cup processor and a reversible slicing and shredding disc. I like that everything fits on the counter and it’s easy to clean. 1800 peak watts by the way! Get this Ninja!

DESIGN:
Alright, let's dive in. The design of this Ninja blender is top-notch. It has a modern aesthetic that adds a stylish touch to any kitchen. The matte finish and sturdy build give it a premium feel. The digital display isn’t just a pretty face; it’s intuitive and user-friendly, lighting up with just the right amount of information without overwhelming you. The modular components are the icing on the cake. Not only do they make storage a breeze, but they also allow for easy cleaning. Plus, the rubberized grips at the base ensure it won't go dancing on your countertop.
FUNCTIONALITY:
BlendSense Tech: Okay, so here's the scoop. Most of the time, this tech is on point. I whipped up some hummus, and boy, it was velvety perfection. But with berries? The seeds can sometimes throw it for a loop, making it think it's dealing with chunky ice. It can get a bit overzealous, but it's not a deal-breaker by any means.
Manual Function: Here's a surprise - even with a manual mode, I find myself letting the machine take the wheel. Just set it and forget it. I mean, who doesn’t love a bit of hands-free action in the kitchen, especially when you're juggling a dozen tasks?
Diverse Attachments: The Ninja blender brings more to the table than just blending. There's the...
Cup: Perfect for those on-the-go mornings. Blend up your favorite smoothie, pop on a lid, and you're out the door.
Regular Blender: For when you're entertaining or meal prepping, this sizeable blender can handle it all, from soups to sauces.
8-Cup Food Processor Bowl: It's like having a sous chef in your kitchen. Whip up salsa, dough, or even shred cheese. Speaking of which...
Reversible Slicing & Shredding Disc: Slice veggies for salads or shred them for slaws. This disc makes kitchen prep a breeze.
Powerhouse Performance: We're talking 1800 watts of raw blending power. I tossed in frozen goodies, from ice to stubborn berries, and this beast handled it effortlessly. If you're tired of those annoying icy bits in your smoothies, this blender's got your back.
Closing Thoughts
To wrap it up, the Ninja Detect Kitchen System is a real game-changer. While there's that minor berry hiccup, it doesn't overshadow the blender's stellar performance and killer sharp design. It's versatile, powerful, and a looker to boot. If you're in the market for a blender upgrade, especially one with versatility and extra attachments, I'd say this one's definitely worth considering.

I’m really impressed with the Ninja Detect Kitchen System. It’s super easy to use and delivers powerful performance as both a blender and food processor. The BlendSense technology is a fantastic feature—it automatically adjusts blending speed and time, which makes everything so convenient. For the price, it’s an excellent value. The only downsides are that it can get a bit loud while blending, and the sharp blades require careful handling. Overall, it’s a great addition to any kitchen!

The Power Food Processor bowl has the chopping blade assemble, dough blade, disc spindle, feed chute/pusher, and reversible slicing shredding disc. The single serve cup will definitely be the most used out of the three for my morning healthy smoothies.
You will also receive the user manual with several recipes.
This Kitchen System shipped in a large box. Be careful unboxing the blades as they are very sharp. I received a tiny cut placing the blades into the dishwasher.
The blender crushed ice in seconds. The food processor worked great chopping onions and celery. My morning smoothie which includes chia seeds was very well mixed. Highly recommend this Kitchen System.

Excellent product, very versatile, does everything it is advertised to do. The only minor criticism is the design of the containers for the blender and processor-they have ridges in the inner sides of the walls in each, I presume to increase their strength, but they interfere with pushing material down along the sides while in use, and with emptying the contents after the processing is completed, and cleaning them-but this is a minor annoyance. Overall they are well built, very powerful, the controls are easy to use, intuitive, very flexible, and get the job done. Very highly recommended.

OMG is it loud! Probably the best blender I have ever had. The power is amazing, I love the way my shakes come out, I haven't used the food processor attachment yet, but the blender (both sizes) is great! I was not sure about buying a "Ninja" product, but I am sold on the brand now.

It’s great when an appliance can do more than 1 job, thereby saving space. But as I recently learned with a new stove that has a built-in air fryer in the oven, sometimes it doesn’t live up to the hype. With the Ninja Blender and Food Processor Duo, having the versatility of both a blender and a food processor in one unit is a huge plus. Included are 2 containers: a 72 oz pitcher and a 64 oz bowl for the food processor, 2 chopping blades, a dough blade, and a shredding disc. Also included is a 24oz to go cup with it’s own blade, so you can make drinks on the go!
The blender has BlendSense technology, it’s like AI for a blender, it can automatically detect and adjust speed and blending time. A big reason I got this blender is for my teenage son, he LOVES smoothies! He makes one pretty much every day and has gotten very proficient at making them. He uses frozen fruits, usually mangos and strawberries and fresh banana.
I thought it would be interesting to see how the Ninja stacks up against the pro style blender we currently have, a 12 year old Vitamix. Over the course of the week, we made 3 smoothies with various frozen fruits, unfortunately, the results were not that great. The ingredients tend to stuck to the side of the blender jar. We had to take the jar off, shake it up, push it down with a spatula or thinning out a bit with more water (the “add water” light did not come on”). After 3 presses of the Blendsense button and more shaking, it blended smoothly. I love the light show you get with the dial while the blender is working, irreverent? Yes, but its’s still cool!
Next test, we used the food processor and the dough hook to make pizza dough. It worked fine, mixed all the ingredients in “dough” mode. A feature we liked when making dough is the lid with the rubber gasket, you don’t get flower dusting all over when mixing. The suction cups held the processer in place when the dough was being mixed. The worse part of this was the cleanup, sticky dough to wash out of the dough blade and processor bowl vs a stand mixer and dough hook we would normally use. Using the food processor with the shredding disc was great, it made chopping up vegetables was a breeze. The dual sided disc is a neat feature, so smart!
Overall, the Ninja Blender and Food Processor Duo is a fantastic addition to any kitchen. It would’ve been nice if the recipe book had more recipes to try, although scones are mentioned, no recipes were included. It might have a minor quirk with some ingredients sticking to the side in the blender, but it's a small price to pay for the convenience and performance it offers. I recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and multifunctional kitchen appliance.

This blender is a powerhouse—versatile, efficient, and easy to use. It has replaced the need for multiple appliances in our kitchen while still being simple to clean and maintain. The performance has exceeded our expectations and it’s quickly become an essential part of our daily routine. The only drawback is the noise level, but considering the strength and usability it delivers, that’s a small trade-off.
