This is quite a blender! I have yet to cook a soup from start to finish with this blender, but I’ve puréed two different soups and appreciate the fact that it handles piping hot foods with no worry of complications or damage. It has a heavy, quality glass blender jar/ container and a nice locking lid. The buttons and functions are easy to understand and operate. The motor is nice and powerful (and loud, though not surprising). I’ve made several smoothies and shakes already and it pulverizes frozen fruit to a nice, smooth texture. The auto, self-cleaning function is also pretty neat. It takes about 6 minutes, but the heated, soapy water (you add two drops of dish soap before starting it) cleans previously tough-to-clean food and residue. I am excited about my purchase and know it will be a good blender. I’m a fan of Ninja projects. The only downsides I’ve noticed so far is the need to keep the base of the jar out of water (easy to forget and sometimes difficult when rising glass over a sink filled with water and soap). The electrical prongs for the built-in heating element are in the base of the jar, and easily submersible if not careful and vigilant. The other downside is that inside the jar, down by the blade, becomes quite narrow, so if you’re trying to pour out something like a thick smoothie or milkshake, it may be difficult to pour everything without the use of a spatula or spoon.

I absolutely love my new hot/cold Ninja blender! I love that you can add your ingredients, press a button and walk way if need be. It absolutely does all of the work for you, unlike other blenders. I not only bought one for myself but one for my ex for Father’s Day, my sister-in-law for her birthday and one for my other sister-in-law just because I didn’t want her to feel left out. I got them all at different prices, but great prices.

I bought this primarily to make smoothies in the mornings for breakfast. It turns out I’m not much a smoothie person. My husband uses this blender everyday for his protein shake. The self clean option has been a lifesaver. This blender does well for puréed soups as well. It does get quite hot, so you would want to be mindful of that. There are some other fun features I haven’t tried yet, such as the ice cream button. One negative thing is that the tamper tool can’t reach as well as it should. I have had to stop the blender, remove the lid, then stir the contents.

I was in the market for a blender. I bought this product at the right time. It does well for what I need. I have made chutneys. I have made batter for indian dishes. It's a bit heavy but it is sturdy. I also like having the clean feature. As long as it is done right away it cleans and you just have to rinse it. I realized also that I have to double my recipes so it blends properly. I can save some for next time around.

Great power blends great cleans easily a good number of speed options

I love my ninja foodi blender and I use it almost everyday, BUT I just hate that I can't take off the glass pitcher to have it fully clean, after a while you start getting humidity through the buttom corners of the pitcher through the oustide, it really gets on my nerves that I can't fully clean it... I think it's just me being that extra clean person that I am, but then again it bothers me... but other than that I LOVE my Ninja foodi blender. PS- any recommendations on how to take apart the glass pitcher from the buttom heat base?

My husband got it for mothers day! Its such a great blender it has been used so much by me. I used it to make frozen drinks and salsa. Gets the work done. The clean option is a plus only struggle rinsing the soap once the fuction is done because its heavy. But overall totally recommend.

As expected, Ninja delivered. This thing blends smoothies, cooks soups and sautés like a champ. I needed powdered sugar for a recipe only to realize I was out when I went to grab some... no problem. Put some regular sugar in the Ninja for 20 seconds and I’d made my own! The cooking function works great. It’s so nice to sauté And cook all in one dish. I’ve yet to try a hearty soup in it, but I’m confident it will work just as perfectly. My only minor comment is that the self cleaning function is great, but doesn’t always get it all. If you rinse the blender right after use and then put it through the cleaning cycle, it works well. But if you left food sit or don’t rinse it first, you’ll be left with a not-so-clean blender (understandably). All in all we love this blender and highly recommend it.

I bought this for smoothies but then when I saw it would heat soup and sauces I was hooked. It’s powerful, easy to use and easy to clean. I’m very happy with it so far. I had a ninja oven/air fryer that stopped working after 6 months but I’m optimistic that was a fluke and I will have this blender for a while.

I bought this blender to replace my old NutriNinja. This sucker is a serious machine. It is high-powered and does everything you can imagine. So far, I've made smoothies and ice cream in it. Haven't used the heating/cooking feature yet. I love that I can use just a drop or two of dishwashing liquid and water to let it clean itself.

It cleans itself after a good rinse add soap and rinse again awesome! It makes decent smoothies, makes soups, ice crem without a fuss. Very versatile, love it. Gret value fornthe price. Did I mention it cleans itself i was sold been using it for over 3 months now awesome product!

I purchased the Ninja for the increased capacity and the quality I've found with my other Ninja products. I was not disappointed. I use it to make morning veggie and fruit smoothies. The extract function grinds everything up to a smooth consistency. And I can use full veggies rather than smaller portions. Easy to clean, easy to use.

I had to get a new blender, as my last Ninja blender had done its job, lasting for about 6 years. This Ninja hasn’t disappointed this far. I had to get used to the self-cleaning feature, however overall, it blends well. I haven’t used the other features yet, but I look forward to it.

This blender is a beast, that’s all you need to know to sum it up! From soup to ice cream, it does it all and it’s incredibly fast and efficient! Just pay attention to the height of it. It is kind of tall and I think some people may find that might not fit under their cabinetry.

This thing is the BOMB! It makes the smoothest smoothies and frozen drinks. You can blend and cook soups and sauces. And no messing with taking it apart to wash it - it has a cleaning program. Don't spend hundreds of dollars more on a Vitamix when this does it all.

I was considering between this blender and a vitamix and I am glad I got this one because the vitamix seemed to be made with a thin plastic material for the motors shell. It has a nice self cleaning feature and so far it works great.

I was very surprised about how well it did! Love the soup, stew and cleaning feature! The pitcher may be a bit heavy for someone with weaker arms due to the pitcher being glass and the heating element are all in one! Otherwise, very pleased with the Ninja!

AMAZING!!! We have the best soups, meals and ice creams in minutes!!! It does pretty much everything for you!!! It even washes itself!! Highly recommended!!! Foody Ninja what else can you expect!! Two best brands together!

This is an awesome blender! Works great extracting and blending fibrous greens for my green smoothies too. Can’t wait to use it for hot soups this fall! The only drawback is that the pitcher is so heavy, but it is a small con to all the pros.
