This is a great addition to the blender market. When you think there are no more additions Ninja is coming with extra functionality (in this case the doug maker) added to their already successful blender. What I like to mention: 1.- The device should be easy to clean. The ninja rotors are dismountable, so the pitcher and the rotor can be easily separated to be clean or put in the dishwasher, No more food rests in the blade axis because of the difficulty of access. The pitcher without blades with the preparation can be stored directly in the fridge. The pitcher has a good handle and the spout flips up for easy pouring without the need to remove the lid. This allows to keep it hermetically closed. I also like that the bottom part of the pitcher is transparent so you are 100% sure that is perfectly clean. 2.- Easy to operate, no much noise, and not too messy: Is a blender with several blades across different levels of the axis (versus the traditional model with the blades only on the bottom). This allows you to accommodate many food sizes but also reducing the preparation time. No more slicing or dicing your fruits or vegetables or organizing the hardest food first to be sure that is uniformly processed. Additionally, the engine delivers power without being very loud. This model integrates the auto-IQ feature that is an intelligent preset program that combines blending, time preset, pausing, and turning patterns that senses the product and decides when to pause. This feature is great for blending and for dough making, while you can still add extra time (like using the pulse option) if you think that your dough is not mixed enough. 3.- Safety, a powerful rotor, and a combination of three blades impose that safety goes first if you have kids at home. This is one of my biggest and positive surprises and probably one of the best assets of this product. Two main reasons: the body-rotor base stay always locked on your kitchen desk with basic but powerful suction cups. Even in the dough-making function, the machine remains fixed. Additionally, the blades are not turning if the lid is not in the exact spot where the marking arrow in the corner matches with the pitcher handle arrow. No risk of turning on at the wrong time or turning if the lid is not secured. Safety for kids and avoiding messes. 4.- Sturdy and resistant, this brand delivers one of the best (if it’s not the best) quality rotor engines that you can find in the market and this is a guaranty of the durability of the purchase. You are sure that you are buying something resistant that will work for years and your expense is a long time investment. The power, 1400 wp, in this case, is guaranteed a smooth smoothie function that crunches all your ice cubes, but also keeps your (sticky) pizza dough mixing until the dough has the right consistency. 5.- This is not only one blender but thanks to the new dough-making rotor, you are double the use of the same machine with very consistent results. I love my new kitchen addition.

There are a couple of safety features that I think are new additions to this model. The unit won’t start unless the lid is latched correctly and the pitcher is properly seated. It also turns itself off if not used for 2 minutes. The controls have been streamlined. Pressing IQ activates the pre-set programs (smoothie, ice crush, bowl, dip, chop and dough). Pressing Manual activates Pulse with different speed options. The controls were easy to decipher and use. It is about ½ inch too tall to fit under my kitchen cabinets so has to be stored in a cupboard, but is short enough to fit on the top shelf of the refrigerator. Any blender can mix liquids, so I wanted to see how this version of the Ninja Foodi Power Pitcher worked with heavier mixtures like dough and hamburger. It has a fairly small capacity when mixing non-liquids. All the ingredients in a recipe can’t exceed 4 cups. I tried the scone recipe and was not terribly impressed. On the dough setting (or any preset setting for that matter) the fan was so intense that it blew everything that wasn’t fastened down off the counter. The first time took me my surprise and I was barely able to catch my glasses before they hit the floor. The base also tried to “walk” off the counter and smelled a little hot before the cycle was finished. At the end of the cycle a quarter of the dry ingredients were still unmixed, at the bottom of the container. I ended up having to transfer the contents to a bowl and finish the mixing by hand. I had a similar experience making meatballs, using the recipe that came with the Power Pitcher. I finally got all the ingredients to mix on my 4th try on Manual mode by using a wooden spoon to force the top ingredients towards the bottom of the container. Mixing by hand would have been quicker. The instructions said to swap blades between ingredients, and sitting the second blade on top of the contents forced the mixture inside the blade. I would recommend adding a tip to the instructions - stand the blade straight up in the dishwasher rack so it will clean the inside as well as the outside. In general, dishwasher washing went well and was the best way to clean the container and lid, although there are instructions for cleaning the pitcher by running it on the Bowl program using water and a little dish soap. In my opinion the Ninja Foodi Power Pitcher works well as a blender for liquid and soft ingredients and it also did an OK of chopping, but there are better options for mixing doughs and meats.

This is a full size unique blender from Ninja. It features 10 speed manual mode and 6 preset 'Auto-iQ' mode. The build quality is pretty good and quite bulky. Given the base and the jar is made of plastic, the blender might not feel like a premium unit. It is very easy to use and clean. The blender comes with one large pitcher, two blades and a cleaning brush. The 1400 peak-watt motor is powerful enough for multi-purpose use with all kinds of ingredients. It makes amazing smoothies, shakes, crushed ice, and batters. I was very happy with how they turned out using the preset modes. My next experiments with this blender is to make nut butter, and cookie dough and see how it turns out. The blender base has intuitive and simple controls. It comes with a small LCD display, 4 buttons to control power and other modes, and a dial to select the preset modes or to manually adjust the blending speed. This blender can't be used for hot blending. The other thing I am not a fan of is that you can only use the manual mode blending for 60 seconds at a time. After that the blender shuts off. I would have liked to have an option for longer duration. The blades are very sharp and you should be very careful while handling and cleaning them. It is dishwasher safe too. For the size, I would say the blender is quieter and not as loud. Overall, this is a versatile blender from Ninja that can be used for various uses at a very reasonable price compared to other brands.

I have a few other Ninja appliances around the kitchen, and have been satisfied with how they perform and the quality of their builds. With the Foodi PB&P (I shortened it so I don't have to type it out every time), Ninja has another small appliance that has a nice stainless steel quality look and finish. At 1400W, it has enough power to blend and chop virtually every ingredient that you'll need to prepare your meals and drinks. For my test, I decided to make some salsa. I placed half an onion, one whole jalapeno, some cilantro, one clove of garlic, one tomato, one bell pepper, and the juice of one lime. I used the auto IQ feature since it's mentioned so much. To no one's surprise, the salsa came out to a nice chunky consistency. For the blender portion, I decided to make myself a healthy smoothie. My "healthy" smoothies are nothing really special, but to me it works. I added 1 cup of protein powder, one banana, some frozen mixed berries, and half a cup of almond milk. For this test I wanted to see how the blades handled the frozen berries. I didn't thaw the berries in any way, just popped them in. I decided to use the auto IQ smoothie setting. The best part of this whole set up is the 72 oz pitcher; it is large enough to make enough smoothies for a family of 6. The smoothie's consistency was smooth and there weren't any lumps to be found. I did not try the dough making feature... mainly because I'm not too familiar with baking. All in all, the motor is extremely powerful, you get a variety of blades, it's dishwasher safe, doesn't take up too much real estate on the kitchen counter, and the auto IQ pre sets are not gimmicky at all, and make things convenient. My only gripe is that the pitcher isn't glass. It loses some of the high quality feel with the plastic. That's where the 4 stars comes from. All in all, this a great little blender for the price.

This would be a recommendation just on the power alone, but there are a number of features that make this blender stand out from the rest. You can simply add your food ingredients in the order recommended, turn the knob, and go! No guessing, no stopping and starting, no shaking or stirring required. This also has more than enough power to handle dough. No need for a separate stand mixer or hand mixer. This also keeps your smoothies colder while you're mixing them. By using just the right amount of power, it blends without also heating the mixture up. This blender also eliminates the need for a separate food processor, mixer and chopper. Cleanup is super easy. It also looks good enough to leave out on your counter if cabinet space is limited.

This is my second Ninja Foodi. It's definitely been upgraded compared to the old unit I had, as this one has a digital readout and also has a set of auto-sensing modes that automatically chop, blend, make smoothies, etc. I've been able to use it over the last week or so and have been impressed with it. It's powerful, smooth, isn't loud at all, and gets the job done, whether its chopping an onion (nice to avoid the tears) or making a small smoothie. I use it for just about every dinner. It's also very easy to clean, just rinse it out and put it in the dishwasher. Great unit that isn't too hard on the wallet and works well in the kitchen.

This Foodi product came without a shipping box. The box was damaged and the product was used. This will be going back for an exchange at the store. Why would anyone ship a fragile item without a proper shipping box? I was not able to use this item, because it is used and the box is damaged.

I have used this blender to make smoothies. Great, add frozen fruit, yogurt and ice and in a couple of minutes you will be relaxing with a nice cool smoothie making you feel great. The food processor chopped our onions for our casserole in a very consistent state. Easy to clean and looks great on the counter. A fan of the Ninja products and how they look and work on the counter. Great stuff for sure. Highly recommend this product.

I've been using this blender mainly to make smoothies in the morning before work, and it blitzes through them like they're not even there. I just press the "smoothie" button and 60 seconds later, everything is done. The only downside: this thing is LOUD. As in, so loud that I genuinely worry about using it too early in the morning for fear of disturbing the apartment next door. Other than that, this thing has been a breeze. Easy to clean, easy to store, easy to operate - just very loud. If you know that going in, you'll love it.

Being diabetic, I have to do many dishes with original and fresh ingredients to avoid "added sugar" that comes with most prepared and processed food. And so I approach the Ninja Power Blender. I'm a sucker for fresh spaghetti sauce. I love the chunks of tomato and onion but I don't want it sweet - not sure why our foods are so laced with sugar, but I digress. I used the pulse feature of this machine and poured in my quartered tomatoes and a can of tomato paste (no sugar added). Mixed in with onions and garlic and oregano I hit the pulse button several times until this had the right consistency - not to chunky, but not smooth like tomato sauce. It had some body to it. What amazed me about this machine was how it had suction cup feet that held the device firmly to my counter top. I loved the easy to remove top (push button, fold up handle, lift off top) and how easy the blades were to remove. I poured the contents into the sauce pan to simmer for several hours. Cleanup was amazingly simple. I've had some blenders that were problematic to get all the debris out of the unit, but this one was absolutely a joy to clean. I have several Ninja items and I have yet to be disappointed. This is worth every penny as you can do smoothies and crush ice with it. My next project is to do fresh salsa!

I admit I'm a Foodi follower but that said, my expectations are also high. I was not disappointed in this blender/processor at all. It does the jobs it claims to from crushing ice, to blending drinks, to chopping, to making dough and it does it effortlessly. It has six buttons which are programed so you don't need to, much like the popcorn button on a microwave. Even better, you can also adjust speeds. So, while you may start slow when you've thrown your nuts in the blender to make nut butter, as they are chopped up, turning up the speed then smooths all those pieces out. This is wonderful for a dorm room, someone with little counter space or someone who only cooks for a few, such as newlyweds or retirees, as you no longer need both a blender and food processor as you have this together. I enjoyed not having to get my big blender out to make pizza dough. As much as I love the blender, I'm thrilled with the recipe book. Not only are the recipes things I usually make but there is a great section at the beginning which shows you how to adapt your recipes to use in the Foodi. This is another great product from Ninja.

    Another Awesome Ninja

I have always loved and recommended Ninja products. They have always worked well and lasted a long time. This Foodi Power Blender is not different. Time will tell the longevity, but this thing is awesome. It simply pulverizes anything that you put into it. Our usage is mixed, but my kids like to make smoothies and they come out great in the Foodi. There are preset options, smoothie being one, along with ice crush, dip, and a few others. I really like that the Foodi automatically slows and speeds back up every few seconds. This allows the unblended foods to keep sinking and saving me from having to stick something in and mix it as often as other blenders. There are suction cups on the bottom so the blender doesn't move. You also twist on the container and it's very secure. The top has a handle that you push down and creates a tight seal. All in all, this blender is a solid machine and it performs at the highest lever. I would recommend it to anyone.

I love Ninja products, They always work above and beyond what I expect from them and this Blender Food Processor is no different. Everything we have tried to throw at the blender comes out great. My wife even made her own granola bars for our ids using the dough blade, and the blender had no problems churning the oats, honey, soynut butter. All those ingredients are so thick and hard to mix but the blender was able to handle it no problem. Smoothies have come out great, and I swear that this blender is actually more quiet than my previous Ninja Blender. I cant say enough good things about it. If you need a new blender I highly recommend this one.
