    Flavorful coffee all the time

I own several coffee machines and while there is not one that has all the features I’d want (such as espresso, drip, k-pods, frother) the Ninja Luxe Pro Series has enough of them that I see myself using more frequently than the others. What I like the most about it, believe it or not, is the integrated tamper level along the grind size configuration/control. Before this machine, I’d spend long periods of time on other coffee machines manually adjusting the grind size and tamping the coffee into the portafilter, but not in this one. It is incredible useful to have guidance on what grind size is the recommended one for the kind of beverage I am preparing and to just push a lever to tamp the coffee just grinded. Such “small” details can have a huge effect on how one perceives a device like this. Overall, this machine delivers great tasting coffee for my needs. The three main coffee types I brew are: espresso, Americano and drip coffee (and the couple of variations to them such as cappuccino and latte). So far, neither I nor my family nor guests have been disappointed, we all have enjoyed and welcomed this device into the family. I think this could be sufficient for a review and recommendation to others. Just some words of caution, don’t be like me, read the instructions or go online for a tutorial on how to use the different options before trying them. For example, I spent long time and coffee trying to work out the grind size for the classic coffee option, and what I was missing is that I had to use the bigger basket (luxe basket) in order to be able to set the recommended grind size (I had to resort to the manuals that came with the machine to realize that). - Pros: integrated tamper, easy grind-size set, flavorful coffee, fast. - Cons: none. >> Setup and first use Although it is not related at all to the device’s functionality and coffee quality, I should note that it was interesting to see how the machine was packed. It came with a bag with handles to be able to easily extract the device after removing the top Styrofoam cover. Great attention to detail, and first good impression. After removing all the tape securing the different parts, the first thing to do is to read the quick manual for the couple of things to do before attempting at brewing some coffee (don’t be like me that tries first and reads the manual later). You’ll basically end up with two must-do things before your first brew: 1) measure and set the water hardness and 2) do an initial clean-up of the device. I decided to try a double-shot espresso for my first brew, and I wasn’t disappointed, I was surprised indeed, the machine extracted as much flavor as I thought could be possible, it was just perfect for me. Overall operation of the Ninja Coffee machine is as easy as it gets. The only “manual” parts to perform are when placing the portafilter to grind coffee (potentially adjusting the grind size), then placing it for brewing, and the milk frothing if you choose to do so. I am highly satisfied with this coffee machine. >> Grind size and tamper The machine recognizes the basket that is placed in the portafilter and so it will let you know what is available in terms of grind size. As I stated earlier, for drip coffee, you’ll need to use the Luxe basket, and only then will the machine allow you to grind the recommended grind size. After grinding, use the tamper level to press the coffee into the portafilter. It is just that easy and convenient, you get a perfectly portafilter filled with coffee grounds. >> Espresso This machine extracts enough flavor that a two-shot espresso is enough for me to start the day. I am accustomed to a few number of espresso shots in the morning, but with this machine, a double-shot one seems sufficient. There are two baskets that can be used to prepare espresso, a single-shot one and a double-shot one. If it is too strong, you can always add water, and if you like Cuban style coffee, just add milk and/or sugar to make one of those famous coffee recipes. >> Americano I found that overall, Americano comes a little stronger than what I get in my other similar machines. This is not a problem for me since I like strong coffee, but even at its lowest setting I have a couple of friends that still had to add a little water to soften the taste. I don’t see this as a weakness but as a strong point. >> Classic coffee Some of the acquaintances that frequent our house are more comfortable with a softer coffee taste, so drip coffee is sometimes what they prefer. In other machines, I would usually make espresso first for them and then add water to it. I am glad that there is this option. One thing I found, although Ninja must say it is not recommended, is that I can place some existing ground coffee in the portafilter, use the integrated tamper to press the coffee (it doesn’t need to be full) and then brew great coffee. I have several bags of coffee grounds from different sources, and I think I’ll be disposing of them this way. >> Cleaning and maintenance So far, maintenance seems to not be an issue. I make sure to do basic cleaning after every use, though. One thing to note is that the portafilter is extremely easy to clean compared to similar devices I own. The coffee doesn’t become too “glued” to the portafilter, so it is easy to remove the coffee after brewing. I hope this doesn’t mean that there is less pressure when compared to other machines. I don’t think this is the case as the flavor I get from every brew is just that great.

Perfect blend of manual and automatic

This is a pretty perfect combination of automated and manual at least for me. I have a fully automated one and a completely manual one to compare it to. The manual one I have to grind the beans in a separate grinder and eyeball the fineness (I could spend more on a precision/auto grinder), scoop the ground and tamp it with a hand held tamper to what I think is the right amount. From there I have a temperature sensor for the milk and I steam it until the temperature is right and try to create the right amount of foam as well (the hardest part for me). The fully auto one, i push the button and out pops the espresso, i then put the milk under the steam and press the button and i get frothed milk (just one setting). Pretty easy. The hardest part is remembering to clean the machine's insides as the grounds can start to clump and blue stuff grows on it. Now this comes along, I turn it on, select what my portafilter size (there are three that come with it; single, double, and coffee) and stick it in the grider area. It automatically senses what portafilter was put in it and suggests a grind setting where you use a scroll wheel on the side to adjust between the portafilter and setting you need to select (my main two are espresso and classic). From there you hit the grind button and you get the perfect amount ground into the portafilter. If you are doing espresso you press down on the tamper (don’t be too gentle) and it’ll give a green flash if it was enough after you let go. Then do it again. You lock it into the group head and hit start. You can then put your milk in the pitcher and put it on the frother and select the level of froth you want, so those that like macchiatos have just as easy of a time as those that like lattes. After it's done a quick wipe of the outside and I put it back down it then automatically purges a little bit though there is a purge button if it doesn’t do it or you want to do it twice. For my coffee, I love that I can choose to make 18oz for my travel mug and that I can take out the trays to easily fit the mug underneath. Overall, I feel like it walks me through the process, gives tons of options but also, lets me feel part of the process and most of the cleaning happens as part of the process and there is no chance for wet grounds to develop blue stuff on the sides somewhere as you dispose of the ground each time which is a little more work than an automatic one, but not that much more work. Now I could get an auto grinder and tamper and I already have a coffee maker to have an almost similar experience for my use cases, but I love the package that this comes in. But not only that but there are a multitude of other options on the cold brew side that it can walk you through as well that I have been slowly trying and it is awesome. And I’d need to find a much fancier frother or increase my skills which I don't really want to give the time to for the other frothing settings. It is a little light. I say this as when I use the tamper I will sometimes accidentally move the espresso maker and if it had a little more heft I'm not sure that would be an issue. Or maybe I’m tamping too hard, and having the green light go off as I'm hitting the right level and not after I've released the tamper would solve the problem. The very first time I tried to make an espresso shot I didn’t tamp enough and it was almost impossible to get the portafilter in the group head. Now it is super simple, I’m not sure if I just didn’t know what I was doing or if it was all just a little bit tight at first. One of the features I absolutely love is that it has an accessory holder built into the side so that I don’t have random portafilter cups lying around that tend to disappear. Overall, I really enjoy making coffee in the morning with this and I am able to make an espresso that consistently takes the same while having the ability to customize and play with settings until I hone in on exactly what I or my wife wants with the ability to replicate the results.

Superior Quality and Automation, All in One

This coffee/espresso maker is a fantastic device. It does cost more than the ones that break in a year or less. However, it is worth the extra cost not just due to its durable construction, but also its ease of use and pretty much automated everything. The construction is durable PVC in some places but is solid thick stainless steel where it counts - as far as where more strength is needed. The frothing cup is the heaviest one I’ve ever used and this speaks to the enhanced quality of this machine. It's also easy to remove the whisk from the bottom of the frothing cup for ease of cleaning. Also an important feature for both coffee and frothing is the ability to set the amount of heating, I've missed this on other units I have had in the past. I like coffee but I’m terrible at making it. Also I tend to add a lot of milk – which cools down the coffee too much. The frother on this unit is excellent like all the other features and this totally eliminates the cool-down problem. Indeed this unit is like a dream in that it grinds the coffee, tamps down the grounds, brews whatever you like (espresso, Americano etc.) and has the best frother I’ve ever used. The controls are intuitive and comprehensive, so simple – a tip of the cap to the Ninja engineers for a wonderful product. Also the frother will even automatically clean itself after each use – wonderful. It comes packed well-protected which is always a good sign that the manufacturer wants to ensure you get a working product. You get a Startup Kit and cleaning kit. You also get a couple PH water test strips to check the acidity of your water. This machine has an adjustment-setting to handle the acidity level of your water supply. You get a very well-written and complete Quick Start guide. You get 3 different sizes of filter baskets. Also there is a small booklet called the Inspiration Guide – don’t ignore this, it is filled with great tips and instructions from making espresso to cold brews. There are many QR codes to get videos on features and guidance; well done Ninja engineers. Note that you can grind your whole beans and use the integrated tamper to ensure the grounds in the portafilter are correctly and firmly compressed. Also if you have ground coffee you can put it in the portafilter and then insert it into the tamping mechanism as well. These engineers thought this product out and implemented a superior home unit – great. I am very impressed with this high quality and multi-featured, easy to use device and I highly recommend it to solve all your coffee-making needs.

All that I need for espresso café!

When it comes to choosing a coffee maker for espresso, it is not always possible to find a product that has all the necessary features to prepare coffee in its different variants. This Ninja Lux coffee maker has what is necessary to prepare coffee basically from scratch, without the need for previous experience. In the box comes the coffee maker, cleaning accessories, a portafilter, single shot, double shot, quad shot filters, XL milk jug filters, and some documentation. The versatility of the coffee maker impresses me, the fact that it includes a tamper in the same machine, a scale to weigh the coffee, and that it can grind the beans, makes this coffee maker a great option. It also has an automatic system for milk frothing, which ensures that the milk is at a precise point for preparing cappuccinos, lattes for example. This Ninja coffee maker has a separate hot water system, as well as different ways to prepare espresso drinks, from one shot to four shots. And if a longer or shorter coffee is required, it can be prepared in Lungo or Ristretto style. Thanks to the different bean grind settings, it is possible to prepare more or less concentrated beverages depending on the fineness of the grind and the amount of water and time chosen. Undoubtedly for coffee lovers, it is a very complete coffee maker. The design of the Ninja Lux coffee maker is very elegant, compact and has space to store the cleaning kit. The accessories are made of metal and resistant plastic, with a very detailed finish that will be appreciated at the moment of use. The coffee maker does not take up much space so it can be part of the various elements of the kitchen for everyday use. To prepare an espresso coffee and its different variants, cappuccino, latte, flat and white, American, etc. It is recommended to measure well and balance the amount of coffee, time, and water used, that is to say, the ratio that allows you to get favorable results. Although it does depend on the taste of each person, following some steps and using the recommended measures can make the experience of preparing and drinking an espresso very pleasant. It will depend on each individual what type of coffee is acquired, however, the type of drying and roasting of the beans, among other things, is what will make the difference in the experience of drinking espresso coffee or its different variants. This Ninja coffee maker is a very complete product, it has an elegant and functional design. It has an integrated tamper, scale, coffee grinder, milk frother, cleaning kit storage, and it is easy to use, cleaning, and does not use much space in the kitchen. I can say that its value for money is very balanced considering the type of features it has, the price in the market of other espresso coffee makers, and the amount of possible configurations for different types of espresso drinks. Being a product that delivers what it promises and is reasonably priced, I can highly recommend it, for me it has been a very pleasant experience without a doubt.

Easiest/Best Machine I have bought in a long time

Wow what a great machine, I don’t know how else to express this machine. I hope my De’Longhi at home never reads this review, Ninja has really hit this out of the park. Let’s start this in the order you would create a coffee. There is a Bean Hopper on top with a removable burr grinder that get this the machine analyzes your beans and your setting and tells you how to adjust the grind for what you are making, Love it. The machine also has a built in scale and knows which size basket you have by the weight, it then weights the beans to get the perfect cup every time. There is a built-in tamper adjacent to the Bean hopper so no loosing time messing with a manual tamper. Once you tamp your beans you attach the portafilter and this is where the fun begins. The machine comes with a Single, Double, and Luxe Basket, like I said the machine will know which basket you have in so that cuts down on some of the guess work. You can make the following right from the machine, Ristretto, Espresso, Lungo, Americano, Cold Pressed or Coffees Classic, Rich, Over Ice, or Cold Brew. As I mentioned before I have an Espresso Machine at home and make latte’s all the time, my issue with it is always the milk froth, its never consistent. With this machine you set it and forget it. There are 5 milk settings from Steamed Milk to Extra Thick Froth, there is even a Cold Foam setting for when you’re making those Cold Brew Coffees. It’s a great machine and comes with a recipe book so you can copy your favorite drinks and become your own Favorite Barista. The machine also has a inset for self-cleaning the steam wand, and a assessor storage compartment for your baskets and cleaning accessories. The Ninja Luxe Cafe’ has really upped my Barista Skills, and everyone at the office has enjoyed me bringing it and making a higher end drink compared to the plain old coffee we are used to. Go ahead and get you one, You wont regret it.

This is by far one of my favorite coffee, espresso, latte, and more makers. I have an older Ninja coffee maker, and this upgrade is my favorite. I love the steps it takes to make a drink of my choice because not only do I get the smell of fresh ground coffee, but it tastes so delicious, I have not felt the need to visit a coffee shop to pick up iced coffee while going out. I just make my own before I leave, and I save so much time and money. It comes with a recipe book, and I love that for me. It gives you the ingredients needed and what settings to use. I love that I don't have to guess what grind level I need to use; the Ninja tells me exactly what setting works best for each drink and size! How amazing is that? The setup was self-explanatory and easy to follow. Test the water for hardness, input that setting, do a quick flush, and bam, you're done. You can start making your own drinks from the comfort of your home. It comes with a portafilter and 3 different-sized baskets based on how small or large you want to make your drink. Cleaning brush, tablets, and cleaning disc are also included to clean your portafilter. The water reservoir is also big enough to make a good amount of drinks without having to refill often. The milk jug is an x-large size, so if you plan on making more than 1 drink, you can froth the milk for all the drinks in one shot. There is a cup warmer on the top of the machine, and that is a nice little bonus. The control panel is easy to use and follow, which makes using this so much easier, especially if you're new to making espressos and specialty coffee at home. The machine literally does all the work, and you just have to complete the steps without having to figure it out yourself. Easy steps to follow. Place your portafilter in the slot to grind the coffee beans based on the type of coffee you initially chose. Remove the portafilter and place it in the group head, align with the orange dot, and then turn towards the right. Place your coffee cup underneath and begin brewing. Next, add milk and froth milk (if you choose), and voila, you are done making your drink. Be sure to clean, rinse, and dry your portafilter after each use. One last tip: save your used coffee grinds in a ziplock baggy for your lawn or plants. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is new or experienced in making coffee, espresso, lattes, cold brews, and more at home. It is not only a beautiful coffee maker, it's so simple to follow the steps and make delicious drinks at home.

I’ve been using the Ninja Luxe Café Pro for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed. It looks great on the counter, it’s easy to use, and makes café-quality coffee at home. The built-in frother is a game changer, it heats up quickly and is surprisingly quiet. Cleanup is simple too, which is a huge plus for busy mornings. If you love great coffee and want convenience without sacrificing flavor, this is the machine for you.

Having been fortunate enough over the years to of had a lot of different espresso and coffee machines. I would have to say, to this date, this is hands down the easiest to use home professional style espresso maker i have ever used. The simplicity of making coffee with this machine sincerely at the end makes you feel like you are a professional barista. Setup is super easy, follow a long with a video supplied by a link on the machine. Unpack, test your water, fill up with beans and water and pretty much allow the machine to tell you what to adjust, in minutes you will be well on your way to making your first shot of espresso. I really can't get over how easy this was to setup and begin using. Over this last week my wife and myself have made countless drinks, to test and to share with family and friends. pros -features 4 in 1 (espresso, drip, rapid cold brew & hot water) -built in grinder -integrated tamping device -easy to clean dual froth system -adaptive brewing (actively monitors and adjusts temps and pressure) -compact cons -so far so good, i havent experienced any negatives to this machine, nothing is broken or doesnt work right or as intended. Overall this 4 in 1 by Ninja far exceeds anything i was expecting before i opened the box. The very minimal amount of effort needed to create a fantastic drink with this machine will leave you wondering how you ever lived without it. I would highly recommend this machine to anyone looking for an easy to understand, no frustration, multi purpose espresso machine.

I've never been a Barista before, but after using the Ninja Luxe Cafe Pro, I feel like its my new side hustle. I'm an avid coffee drinker out of necessity for that morning caffeine jolt and I just happen to enjoy the taste of it as well. Covid really made me take a look at higher-end coffee machines because not only was the world shut down and I was working from home daily, buying coffee on a daily basis had become an expensive necessity. What better way to break that habit then a global lockdown? I tried out a few expensive units and found one I really enjoyed and got a lot of use out of that had a built-in grinder and made a number of different coffee types, so the Ninja had a high bar to meet for home coffee makers. The Luxe Cafe Pro right away is stunning to look at. It has the full high-end espresso machine look to it with the espresso portafilter handle, steam wand, milk/froth carafe and side tamper. The display has a full array of options and knobs and buttons without looking overly busy and the top still has a large surface for setting accessories, extra baskets. The entire unit feels sturdy and the chrome finish and metal are all solid. All of the components that can get dirty are easily removed/detached and top rack dishwasher safe, but for most daily use, just wiping or rinsing is enough until you want to do a deeper clean. The main aspect of the Luxe Cafe Pro compared to other coffee makers is a really important difference even compared to other automatic or semi-automatic coffee makers that use whole beans and have an internal grinder. The Luxe Cafe Pro still uses a Portafilter and shot baskets for coffee grinds which need to be tamped down to compact them. The hot, pressurized water is then injected into the puck and that's how you get your concentrated espresso. Other units all of this is happening internally and the puck is ground, tamped, brewed and discharged. With the Luxe Cafe Pro, you do this semi-manually and while it seems like this would take a long time, it really doesn't once you get used to it. It also results in a much better tasting coffee as the grinding, basket, and tamping process really lets you dial in the flavor of the resulting espresso or coffee. Cleanup is also much easier than I expected. Because the holes in the shot basket are so small, no grinds actually pass through it. And the puck is tamped down and solid, then injected with hot water, so it all sticks together firmly, you just bang the Portafilter on the side of the trash can and the puck comes tumbling out, there should be few grinds in the basket and a quick rinse allows you to set up the next drink, or place the Portafilter back in the grind dispenser. That was another super nice touch, the grind dispenser has a "magnetic" aspect to it so that when you place it in, it pulls it in place perfectly every time. Then you tamp it down twice and you're good go. I did have a few loose grinds around the edges of the basket after tamping but I think this will improve as I get used to the process over time. I've only had 5-6 drinks so far but right away, I could tell the quality of the coffee was superior to my older unit. Its likely a sum of all the components, from the grinding calibration, the manual puck tamping, the pressurized hot water only having to go through the basket and not an entire internal assembly. The depth of flavor was amazing and I could easily adjust the strength of the coffee depending on the bean type and the drink with the Cafe Pro's suggestions. The biggest visual indicator of the coffee quality was that on my older coffee maker, by the end of the drink cycle, the liquid turned from dark brown to light brown. With the Luxe Cafe Pro, the liquid is a dark, dark brown and stays dark brown until the end. I almost feel like I could get a 2nd drink out of the puck that would be similar strength and quality as my old unit. Some other awesome features of the Luxe Cafe Pro: * Absolutely huge water reservoir at 80oz. My other coffee maker only had 48oz. My fridge has a 48oz. water pitcher and it takes nearly 2 refills to fill it up which is awesome! * It fits oversized cups, mugs, and tumblers! You can pull out the center drip tray portion to fit larger glasses, both my 12oz Yeti Rambler and 20oz Yeti tumbler fit underneath without any problems. With my old coffee maker, I had to tilt and hold it or risk having it spill all over. This is actually a huge time saver as I can start the brew process and continue getting ready instead of wedging and holding my cup for the brew cycle on my old coffee maker. * The frother actually spins your milk or creamer and has a little wheel at the bottom of the cup. Not sure if this is some kind of magnet doing the work or just the pressure and angle of the steam from the wand. The wand is also easy to wipe down and clean and doesn't burn/scald the milk on the wand like some other units I've used in the past. It also self-cleans itself and the cup itself is easily rinsed or washed between uses, which makes it very convenient. I also noted a few things to be aware of with the Luxe Cafe Pro that were not so great: - This thing just destroys coffee beans haha. I mean coffee prices are up around the world due to a poor crop and recent tariffs, so it is something to keep in mind. If you want a double shot, make sure you wanted a double shot. You will see those beans fill up that puck and then go into the trash. I could tell it was using a lot of beans because the hopper totally filled up was empty after 3 drinks. My old unit, i could go about 2 weeks between refills bc it had a larger hopper but also used less grinds per drink/puck. - The portafilter takes some leverage to twist on and may not be easy for some folks. This is probably the biggest issue with the basket and handle type manual espresso makers but at least you don't have to separately tamp it as that can get messy and is super cumbersome. Tamping it in the dispenser is natural and easy. I needed to hold the top of the unit while twisting the portafilter into position, or the unit would move. - The different baskets could be easier to remove. There's really nothing to hold onto, and everything has to be nice and flush to work properly and fit etc, but its going to be a nuisance if you switch coffee and drinks a lot. The baskets are actually keyed with the wider "tooth" facing the handle portion of the Portafilter, and on this larger piece, it also tells you which size you are using, Luxe, Single, Double. I found pulling from this back side was the easiest way to remove the baskets but anyone who has weak hands or fingernails they take good care of....you'll want to be careful swapping these baskets. - At first glance, this unit can be really intimidating, but I highly recommend watching the Getting Started video with the QR code which sends you to Youtube. The intro tutorial is extremely well produced and easy to follow, but they go fast, so don't be afraid of pausing, rewinding, restarting and watching multiple times. Once you've watched a few times and tried your first few brews, it becomes second nature. - One thing that's important to note is that the unit will only offer some types of drinks with the correct basket size, so if you want coffee, iced coffee, etc on the right side of the dial, you'll need to use the Luxe basket. - It is LARGE. Both deep, wide and tall compared to my other coffee maker. It still fits under standard height cabinets on the countertop, but you'll constantly be pulling it out in order to fill the water reservoir or fill it with beans, so I'd probably keep it somewhere that is clear above. It will dominate a good portion of your countertop but it will look great in the process! At first, I wasn't sure how to feel about the Luxe Cafe Pro. I went in convinced that I'd end up having to keep 2 coffee machines on my countertop which I wasn't thrilled about. One for the work week when I was in a hurry, and the other to enjoy a specialty espresso on the weekends at my leisure. While it undoubtedly makes great coffee and espresso drinks, I was concerned about the time to make a drink and how there was some manual interaction. What I found was that it actually took me less time because I could actually place the cup unattended without holding it, and the process of grinding beans, tamping, and securing the Portafilter didn't actually take much time at all. My wife agreed and now she's able to make her iced coffees the way she likes. So, out with the old, in with the Luxe Cafe Pro!

With 3 Starbucks addicts in the house plus my wife and I, this machine has paid for itself in the first 3 weeks. I think we make 10 drinks a day and have gone thru a lot of coffee beans and syrups. They have not gone back to Starbucks or 7 brew. The machine well designed, easy to use, and well built! When this one is worn out, we will immediately buy another one.

I purchased the Ninja Luxe Cafe Pro (es701) from Best Buy a week ago and I love it. I am using espresso beans from Pt's Coffee and it makes fantastic espresso drinks! The frother works really well also. I really love the espresso shots and Americano drinks. The only issue I have is so far I am only getting adequate drip coffee. But I didn't purchase the machine for drip so I am very happy.

Ninja Luxe Cafe Pro, a nice machine with a quirk.

This is one impressive machine on the counter. Large but not huge, a centerpiece for sure. It’s a little intimidating at first but once you understand the workflow it’s fairly easy to use. I say fairly easy because it has exhibited a slightly annoying quirk. When you place the portafilter in the grinder you might have to reselect what drink you want to make so even though you just made an 8oz classic coffee it might switch to a quad expresso. It doesn’t switch every time but I had to make it a habit to check it before tapping the start grind button. Once I got used to that, things have gone much smoother. Lol That said, it does make a tasty drink! I had an automatic machine already which is completely hands off just press one button and it makes a drink but it uses the extraction method. I always thought it made the coffee a little more bitter. This drip machine confirmed it. Bean for bean, this machine makes a better tasting drink so even though it’s a little more work to use, I prefer it. I’d recommend that you pick up the Ninja knock box with the machine, the grounds can be a little sticky in the portafilter. I found that if I’m only making one cup at a time I can just knock out most of the grounds and let the residue sit. By the time I’m ready for a second cup the remaining grounds have dried significantly and aren’t so sticky so they just wipe out with my finger or a paper towel. We’ve made several hot and cold drinks since this machine arrived, they have all come out great unless there was user error involved. Expresso shots are wonderfully strong. I don’t drink expresso often but I do enjoy a cappuccino on the weekends. I found the steam wand and milk jug with the automatic whisk to be super easy to use, definitely a highlight of the machine for me. Easy to use and easy to clean as well. Speaking of cleaning, the machine comes apart very easy to empty the drip tray when needed. There is a handy pour spout on the back corner of the tray to dump the water. Watch the left front corner because there may be grounds if any fell out of the grinder. Tamper is easy to wipe off, just remove the portafilter and press down the handle and you can wipe it from underneath. Another thing I appreciate about this machine is it’s ability to make many different sizes of coffee and it is tall enough to fit an 18oz go cup. My other machine maxes out at 8oz so you have to brew two cups and pour them into a go cup, this one can do it right in the cup. Definitely a plus! I also appreciate that it comes with a 70oz water tank so I don’t have to refill it as often. It will also allow you to continue making a drink if it should run out of water during the brewing cycle. My other machine doesn’t do that, if it runs out of water it just stops and there’s no recovery. Same goes for the beans, it will ask you to add more beans and then continue. One thing I did not see in the manual was whether or not you can use pre-ground coffees in this machine. The answer is yes you can, but since the machine isn’t measuring the dosage from the grinder you need to add your desired amount to the portafilter yourself. A little trial and error might be needed but it works. Try starting at 15 grams of coffee and see how it tastes? Handy if someone gifts you a bag of ground coffee to try. There is a cup warming plate on top of the machine, it powers off when the machine is turned off. The lid on the water tank is symmetrical so it can go on either direction, a nice design touch since you might have to try to put it on before your first cup in the morning! One thing I wish it had were indentions or handles on the sides, it’s a heavy machine and it’s difficult to move it to clean underneath it. I didn’t want to lift it by the grinder since there’s a weight scale there and I didn’t want to damage it and I didn’t want to lift it by the drip tray either so it’s a challenge to get your fingers underneath. There is a useful storage compartment on the right side to hold the accessories that aren’t in use. My OCD appreciates being able to keep everything together. Another nice feature is that the bean hopper is removable to change the beans out. You twist the handle to unlock it and just lift up. There will be a fair amount of beans left it the grinder, it’s about enough to make another cup so if you replace the empty hopper you can press and hold the start grind button and run the grinder until it’s clear. Dump the coffee into a sealable container and you can use them later if you wish.

Replaced Two Coffe Makers and a Grinder for Me!

My wife did not like the fact that I had two coffee makers and a coffee grinder on our countertop. I can’t say I blame her but I mostly drink coffee so my Ninja Hot & Iced XL coffeemaker was a must, but I also like espresso so I had my fully automatic espresso machine - which also does coffee, but not as well. Enter my Ninja Luxe Cafe Pro! I’ll give you the bottom line right away, this machine has replaced all three machines. I gave it 5 stars but I really think it is a 4.5 star machine. Value I’ll start by mentioning the value of the Ninja Luxe. I know, value? At $750? But it is a value compared to other similar machines from other companies. As I mentioned, it replaced three machines because of the capabilities of this machine. That alone made it worth the price to me and my wife. Versatility The title states 4 in 1, which means this guy makes pretty much any coffee drink you can think up. You can make espresso, drip coffee, cold brew, dispense hot water for tea or hot cocoa, and froth milk for lattes or make your own cold foam! Easy to Use This machine may take a few minutes to figure out completely but once you are familiar with the buttons it is quite easy. So many conveniences packed into this machine! A couple that really stand out to me are the door that houses two of the portafilter cups and the built in tamper. It is so nice to have storage for the filter cups. I don’t have to keep them in a drawer somewhere and fish for them when I’m switching back and forth. The built in tamper is a similar convenience but goes a step further because it works well and makes the whole process cleaner. I hardly ever spill grounds now. Performance The coffee is good and getting better. There are many different settings you can use to dial it in and I am still working to find the settings that make it perfect for me. You can adjust the grind size with a wheel on the left side. The machine gives suggested grind size based on what you are making but you can set it to whatever you want. Then there are three different strengths you can use. Plus a choice between classic and rich. I am sure I will be able to dial it in but even now I’d rate it 8.5/10. The espresso is easily a 9.5/10. It is also very easy to make and Ninja took all the guesswork out of the brew process. The grind size and volume of grounds, as well as the pressure is all figured for you. It’s tough to mess it up! Concerns I have not had any failures or major issues but I do have a couple of small concerns that I will keep my eye on. The first is, one of the first times I went to adjust the grind size I was not able to turn the manual dial at all. I didn’t want to force anything and break it so I took the top part of the grinder off (it comes off very easily and conveniently) and moved some beans around. Once I replaced the top part of the grinder I was again able to freely turn the dial. I haven’t had that happen again so far. The other concern is really more of a gripe. The portafilter has to be turned much harder than I think it should. I’ve had a few different espresso machines and the portafilter always takes a little muscle to get into place but this one is the toughest. It takes a firm grip on the handle and the machine to get it in place. Overall I am extremely pleased with the Ninja Luxe Cafe Pro so far. It looks fantastic, very much like a premium machine. It does not take up too much room on the counter - especially if it replaces multiple machines for you like it did for me. It is easy to use and makes great bean juice!

Bring A Luxe Cafe to Your House

If you were thinking that it was time to bring the cafe to your home then the Ninja Luxe Cafe is for you and everyone in your household. It makes 4 variations of coffee but the possibilities seem endless with what you can do. The set up was easier than I thought (at first I was intimidated by the machine, I've had an espresso machine before this one), it walks you through each process and Ninja has done well to create an introduction video for you that you'll find on your QR code on the machine. Some wow factors for me: It has a water test function to calibrate your water, it calibrates the bean type and guides you on the size of the coffee ground you should use based on the type of coffee you make, and the frothing tool has 5 amazing settings for the different toppings you'd want. I cannot forget to mention the most scary part for new to espresso machine users. The tapping tool for the grounds once it has filled your basket. You tap the grounds and a green lights pops up on the machine to advise you that you are ready to go! That part was always messy for me before with other machines and it's so clean today! I love espresso but a good old cold brew and latte do it for me too. To know that I can brew some cold brew right at home in minutes is a game changer. Last but not the least of my compliments to this machine is that I have loved a strawberry cold foam from one of the big coffee chains for a year now. I am ecstatic to know that this weekend I'll be trying my best to replicate the strawberry cold foam, with a caramel drizzle cold brew. My family usually visits a lot during the summer and they love to visit coffee shops. I am sure they'll be excited to know I have my own little coffee shop at home!

Little extra work for some better coffee

I’ve been using an auto coffee machine; press a button it grinds the coffee and makes it. As I was unpacking this I was worried about the extra time it’s going to take since I have to do all the steps. But after making a few coffees it’s worth it. Right on the front there is a QR code that takes you to a video on YouTube, which goes though the steps to get the machine ready. It was easy to follow and you’re up and running fast. Once you make a few cups, you learn the process. First you select the coffee, it then tells you the attachment to use, then you grind the coffee and brew it. You then add milk and make froth as well. So far the ice coffee, cappuccino, and regular 10 oz coffee I’ve made have been amazing. The downside is you have to do all the steps. While there is a grinder on the machine, you need to move the coffee over to brew it, and then you need to dump it out. Same with the milk, you need to clean it and pour it on top. If you have an auto machine, it does take extra work compared to that, but its much easier if you just had an expresso machine that you need to know how to use. With that said, the taste of the coffee has been much better and its worth the extra effort to me.

What can I say about this machine other than I love it! I received this as a birthday and Mother’s Day gift. It is easy to use. It is so easy that I am on crutches recovering from surgery and can use it with no issues. I haven’t had the chance to try all of the options, yet. I have only made drip coffee and lattes. I I am waiting to buy better beans. But I cannot wait to make a cold brew with cold foam. It looks beautiful, works like a dream, what are you waiting for? Just buy it. You will not regret it.

I’ve been using the Ninja Espresso machine for a month now and overall, I’m really impressed. It’s clean, convenient, and makes a consistently good cup of coffee with minimal mess—definitely a win for anyone who values cleanliness and ease of use. That said, I do miss the hands-on control I had with my old manual espresso machine. There’s something satisfying about dialing in the grind, tamping the shot, and pulling it just right. But for everyday use and speed, the Ninja delivers exactly what it promises.

I’ve been wanting to invest in an espresso machine for a while now. Watching tons of YouTube videos and talking to friends. I was very close to buying the Breville Barista Express or Touch. I realized that the learning curve and the time it takes to make coffee will eventually discourage my wife & I from using it much. We decided to purchase the Ninja Luxe Café Premier until we realized they have a new model out (Pro). I called Ninja to learn more about the features and differences between both. This model was just released in N. America via BestBuy and is not available yet through Shark/Ninja USA. It’s already been in Europe for a while now. So far, the machine looks great, feels heavy duty and seems reliable. The espresso and flavored coffees are wonderful. Only time will tell how reliable it will be. For now, we love using it.

Excellent quality, easy to use, easy enough to clean. Quality and freshness of beans is important, so factor the cost of beans into your purchase decision.
